Good to know all's well with your ride. Most of the advisories I see posted regarding the zed is corrosion of the "W" brace but yours is brand spanking new so I knew there'd be no worries there

Welcome to the OC from another Cheshire member. I'm at the border of S Manchester/Stockport. Whereabouts you based?

Today I learned that a 2008 BMW 335i has no dipstick. And there was me thinking Nissan did a bad job of designing the dipstick on a DE.........but at least we have one! Call me old fashioned but I like the idea of checking my oil every couple of weeks :b

Welcome to the OC and may I say what a mighty fine example you have

Welcome to the OC Lovely deep red you have there.

Can you imagine how long it would take to clean those wheels. The thought of doing a full decon in preparation for a ceramic type coating would fill me with dread. I'm thinking along the lines of boxer shorts and socks...... doesn't matter how nice they look, if the label says dry clean only, FORGET ABOUT IT

Love those signs

Welcome to the OC Careful that the cops don't pull your zed. It looks like it's been smoking weed and got REDEYE Enjoy the zed and the OC

Love the attention to detail. The reflections off your back box are epic

According to this YouTube video this should be changed on Zeds around 10 years old. Have many other owners changed this out? I've recently been needing to top up my oil every 1 to 2 thousand miles. Zed is a 13 yr old DE Almost 60k on the clock. Had it from new and never abused from cold. Is it as simple as he shows in the video or are there things that could go wrong leaving my car stranded on the drive.

I've been taking my zed to Lockwood and Greenwood at Ryecroft Road in Audenshaw for the past 10 years. Loads of members use them. In fact there's often other Zeds there when I go. The techs there have worked on more zeds over more years than any other Nissan main dealer I reckon as I think alot of zeds are only going to main dealers while in the first few years of life. After that people get fed up of the poor Nissan service and their high prices. Club discount too

If you cancel your policy for a certain length of time I vaguely remember thatyou may lose your NCB that you've built up so double check that first

Can't recommend a fitter for you. I can offer my experience though. I have had wheels damaged over the years in the following ways. 1. Tyre fitters damaging the paint around the the wheel nut areas through careless but removal and fitting. Just mention this to the fitters so they are aware and inspect this area before and after. 2. Metal tyre machine clamps can damage fragile lips NO MATTER HOW CAREFUL THEY ARE! I know this as a friend who had a tyre shop marked my rim despite all his best efforts. On discovering this he reverse mounted the other wheels face down on the machine atop of plastic mounts so that the machine clamped the rear of the wheel instead. 3. Using a metal bar to break the tyre bead during removal of the tyre can scrape the paint at the lips. Again worth mentioning you've had such damage in the past. 4. I had metal valves originally on my LMGT4s. Some numpty used a spanner to remove them and chipped the paint around valve area. Then tried to use touch up paint to cover his numptiness! Check this area also. I saw this tyre machine on YouTube Hunted all over Manchester and finally found a place that had one. Been back 5 times now over the years and won't go anywhere else. It takes them longer than their standard machine so I slip them an extra fiver a tyre. But a £20 extra for 4 tyres is a price I'll gladly pay. You can see it clamps the wheel center with a cloth coated clamp......no marks on the lip. Plastic wheel breaks the bead not a metal bar Hope you find a trustworthy place as I know before I found a careful place the thought of changing tyres filled me with dread!

Is that a Cobra or Miltek exhaust system I spy in the last couple of photos?

So....... Are you back in the UK with your Zed? Azure sure is a mighty fine colour

When I renewed insurance with eSure on our Kia they offered legal cover. When I asked what exeptions were not covered they said "We will only cover legal fees in cases where we feel we will win!" I asked how they quantify feel? He reverted to the previous scripted answer. So I told him I would do without as I wasn't feeling very confident with their "we'll help you if we feel like it" attitude

I've tucked my dash cam wire under the headlining to the A pillar and down to the ciggy lighter in the footwell. My brother is telling me it is hazardous as the curtain airbags deploy near the A pillar. Should I be worried?

A 50:50 mix of Sonax Brilliant shine detailer and Chemical Guys Hybrid V07 spray sealant as a drying aid as recommended on detailing world. I pat dry after a wash leaving a 90% dry car. Few sprays of the above. Spread and final dry with a damp MF. Jobs done in 90seconds.
