  1. I feel your anxiety regards to avoiding wheel damage. I can't help as my tyre fitter is in Manchester. Will look forward to seeing pics of your zed with new rims. You do know posting after pics is MANDATORY
  2. HEADPHONES

    Heating

It's not a zed thing as my DE will blow hot air when stationary too. I'm sure someone else will have an idea what's wrong
  3. At least now we all know that this paint option is a total waste of money as it either doesn't work, the dealer just takes your money and it's never applied or both. Without feedback on forums such as this I would never had known dealer applied Supagaurd was a SUPER RIPOFF. And without this thread I would have believed the hype about self healing paint and swirls/marring. But now I wouldn't even pay an extra FIVER for it. So thanks for the info Cray Z
  4. Whichever one you buy, I'd highly recommend testing it on purchasing. Leave the lights on. Run the battery down. See how the pack works. I've read so many reports of bogus products. The good ones do work though I got this over a year ago as an Amazon lightning deal for £15. Works on the Zed instantly. Battery was left to die so all I got was a click on turning the key. Hooked it up and started first time Helped out a few bystanders with it too. Been offered £50 for it by one bystander I helped I'd buy from a big brand or a retailer you can get a refund/replacement. Costco, Halfords springs to mind.
  5. Just watched the video. Nissan are taking the Michael Even "if" you were negligent in not taking "detailing world" standards of washing and drying your car, the level of customer care here is appalling. They sell you an option promising the earth whereas in reality they know nothing about the option other than a sales pitch they use to sell it. When you raise a query they send you on a wild goose chase either knowing full well the bodyshop hasn't a clue what's going on or just plain fobbing you off because they can't be bothered to look into it themselves. Then they tell you there's no way to confirm whether your zed has actually had the optional paint you paid for. If this cannot be tested post application surely they should have some certification of application! Looks to me like you have bog standard soft Jap paint with the marring/swirls that they are prone to. Like you say. If the hot summer sun didn't heal the paint I don't know what will. I'd only be convinced the product was applied if your zed was placed under the heating lamps used by bodyshops to bake paint and the swirls diminished. It's not even my car and I'm sat here fuming. Feel for you bud
  6. I have an image embedded in my head now of Ekona waving a certificate displaying 90% in one hand........and Jetpilot's left nut in the other Back on topic. I'm the first to admit I'm no driving god. In fact I drive so sedately most of the time that in 13 years and 60k I'm still on the original discs and second set of pads. I've run Falkens for the last 10 years with rears lasting me about 3yrs and fronts 6yrs. Mine is a lowly 350z de but I have once or twice seen TCS triggered when accelerating uphill in the rain. Seeing as tyres last me so long I'll be switching to Michelin in about 2 yrs when all 4 tyres will need replacing. But I do not feel the Falkens are so dire for my needs that I need to change earlier.
  7. You select as much or as little as you want separately Ie Front discs Rear discs Front pads Rear pads
  8. Whatever you do, don't go to Nissan for new brakes. Someone recently posted a quote of £2150 for supplying and fitting Brembo discs and pads. Bearing in mind these parts are about £350, that's about £1000 an hour labour!
  9. Neighbour issues are always tricky. When I moved 3 years ago I also had problems with my neighbour. I find it best to be as diplomatic as possible as if things escalate it really makes life miserable. To the point where it's more grief than the original problem was. Not saying let him take the Michael......just saying nothing too rash.
  10. ^indeed. Look well cared for. Wheel backs nice and clean. Even the recesses on the back of the spokes look spotless. If a buyer looks after them, these rims seem to hold their value well, so could possibly sell them on in future at not much of a loss.
  11. A definite YES from me By the way...... loving the concave rims!
  12. Went to cinema today to take the kids to see Mary Poppins. The sub bass from 2:00 was worth the £4.99 ticket price alone Anybody else loving this opening. (Minimum needs headphones to appreciate the organ churning bass experienced in the cinema!)
  13. I'm sure I've heard about spacers that can be purchased to place near the O2 sensors to prevent this. (Awaits someone more knowledgeable to chip in :b )
  14. HEADPHONES

    ABS fault

Brake light switch is the easiest to start with. When mine went the brake lights would only light up dimly. Cheap easy DIY fix. If you can change a light bulb you can do it
  15. Look too nice to put on the car! I'd be tempted to keep them IN MY LOUNGE to just admire for a few weeks
  16. Well there you go. You've heard it from the Zman himself. He's probably spent more hours working on zeds than the master tech at Charles Hurst! If they're blagging you about the labour times needed, how can you trust them on the other stuff
  17. Hi 350doc........love the glow reflections in the sunset arches in your pics.
  18. Ahhhh......the mandatory lobby scene. I ran that 2 days ago Great minds think alike
  19. Those Mission Elan floorstanders look like they have a great surface area of drivers to shift serious air. "No replacement for displacement" as they say in the automotive world
  20. Welcome to the OC Love the artistic "chilling" photo
  21. I don't have HEAT but remember the scene well from when I saw it in the cinema I'll have to revisit my Ironman 2 Blu-ray and my Independence Day dvd...... cheers for the reminders.
