  1. Congratulations on the arrival of the newborn baby. Now with two kids 11 and 8, the Zed is about the only thing that keeps me sane. When I'm feeling down and sorry for myself sacrificing friends and hobbies time for the daily grind, just sitting in the zed and go for a simple drive to the supermarket brings a little brightness to my day. Maybe keep it til the warmer weather returns. Get a better price for it then. Or if it becomes your little oasis of calm and a sanctuary from PAR.ENT.ing, keep it, coz every dad needs AphukenbrakE
  2. Looking forward to the next installment. Thanks for the heads up.
  3. I've got a Japanese performance magazine somewhere featuring 3 zeds on the cover. One twin turbo. One supercharged. And one with a while heap spent on an NA upgrade. The NA one was owned by Giles who was chairman of the "other" UK 350z forum that became **REMOVED**.com. Was an amazing feature. Gotta have a root around and hope the missus didn't junk it
  4. Surprisingly close! Not to mention the zed had uprated suspension, and the BRZ bigger wheels than stock (probably heavier unsprung weight hampering performance)
  5. In a blink of an eye ten years flies past! That's a Banzai copy worth cherishing
  6. The previous owner didn't deserve a zed. Proper nasty inside. Can only imagine the stale stink of fags and crud!
  7. Welcome to the OC
  8. Good to hear Another 05 owner here. Owned it over 14 years from new. Like you say.......the smiles never go away. Just got back from a quick supermarket run and despite it just being a 5 min drive each way on empty roads, it still was "an occasion"
  9. Welcome to the OC and congratulations on your purchase .
  10. A warm welcome to you both. Must be nice being able to share a common interest with your son.
  11. That last pic would be worthy of a calendar entry (if Gs are allowed). Really shows how the blacked out headlights and grill transform a G.
  12. Those night beads look the business. Been a big fan of spray products used during the drying stage. Still got 400ml of TW Hybrid Sealant to use over the winter too. Great minds think alike
  13. Even Noddy would be pointing with his jaw to the floor going WTF!
  14. For headlights you'll have to polish them first. The C4 will protect against fading again for a year or two. Without a coating after polishing the lights will yellow in a couple of months.
  15. Welcome to the OC That VW looks shinier than a shiny thing!
  16. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gtechniq-C4-Revitalize-Discoloured-Unattractive/dp/B00IOMDUN0 Choose the 30ml bottle and it's cheaper than the 15ml bottle! Normal detailing suppliers will charge close to £48 including delivery compared to £18.92. C4, C1 & C5 are all the same. Use this to seal your rims, restore and protect trim and headlights.
  17. +1 on a Worx Hydroshot Been using mine for 2 years Apply prewash.... Jet rinse is not as powerful as proper jetwash but will suffice Then 2bm wash and another jetrinse. You'd need 3 buckets. One shampoo One rinse bucket One for the jetrinse and applying the prewash. Maybe a forth bucket for rinse water if yours are small. One battery charge will cope with all that but I got a spare just in case
  18. Easy to check if brake pedal switch is working. Just check brake lights come on full power instead of very faintly. Mine was also sensitive to how far I screwed it in
  19. This is what happened to me
  20. Thread revival. Did Nissan reply regarding selling you "scratch proof paint"? Did you indeed have it at all or did they sell you a standard car but bill you the extra anyway?
  21. My 05 GT coupe has electronic folding mirrors
  22. There you go Part2
  23. They make it look so easy!
  24. Was discussing Japanese performance cars of the 90s with TT350 last night. So I thought we should have a 90s revival thread again. Post up a pic of your favourite 90s car. After long deliberation, here's mine. An early NSX, no lairy kits or 22" rims, just tints, a drop and timeless wheels
  25. These are push fit. A foam/neoprene type edging on mine allows it to be precision squished into position. No fixings necessary or provided. I used to own the OEM one. This is much more prestigious putting the plasticky OEM one to shame
