  1. Old habits die hard. Back in the 80s as a teenager with limited funds and only 1 pair of trainers, I had to make them last out of necessity and discovered SHOE GOO. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shoe-Goo-BLACK-Adhesive-Reapir-Glue-for-Shoes-Boots-Waterproof-Large-3-7oz-Tube-/292928282055 All these years later I still haven't the heart to chuck out perfectly good trainers just coz the heel is worn. So, my favourite Air Max TN heel started life similar to this 13 months later they still looked fresh after a wash But the heel was almost totally shot on one edge. Sol a lightsandpaper to key then washed the sole. Applied the shoegoo like bathroom sealant. After a minute or two it goes tacky enough to shape with fingers and a credit card/stuff cardboard. Looks too shiny at first but after 1 wear it loses its sheen. The new heel wears down 2-3 times faster than the original but doesn't peel. Fit and forget. I've done this 3 times so far on these trainers. Originally for glueing split soles but good for heel rebuild too.
  2. Beading is looking fantastic there Effortless touch free results. FOR A FIVER too. It's been raining daily so not sure if I got streaking without a final dry down. Even if it did, I'd still use it on wheels as the streaking wouldn't show much on wheels and applying/buffing traditional LSP to wheels in winter is not fun.
  3. Just finished a night wash on the zed and tried TW Dry and Shine on body and wheels. Zed had Fusso 9 weeks ago and tbh it was holding out quite well still. These are after a 2bm wash and rinse. Then just spread 2 squirts per panel and GENTLY rinse with deionised water from my dehumidifier. The product looks like water when sprayed on. But when I gave a gentle pressure rinse off I could see it foaming a little which was a good indication of where and how much to carry on rinsing. These are some afters.... A little video to click on
  4. Got this for a fiver including delivery From here using one of the many discount codes https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/p/turtlewax-dry-shine-750ml-552777351?gclid=CjwKCAiA5JnuBRA-EiwA-0ggPVSCmWK2MT45PMEZq4yxG_V6rosqTSGgz7fqXGRCjAdmwfZoc-_DqxoCwPMQAvD_BwE Gave the mini a wash. Was gonna try a dry application of TW Seal n Shine. As I finished washing....it started drizzling. No worries I have TW Dry and Shine that you just spray on and rinse off so it loves water and isn't bothered by drizzle. Hard to tell it's effect on the bodywork as there's so much LSP on it applied every wash as a drying aid. But I feel no love for the diddy 15s and they only get a shampoo. No polishing or LSP. These are pics after a little spray of Dry and Shine then a gentle jetrinse from a distance. First try was not showing beading as I jetted too close and I think blasted all the product off. Needs a gentle jet to spread it and rinse off excess So it's an Ideal product if you get caught by rain when washing bit still want a little LSP protection after the wash.
  5. 2nd and 3rd pic look like Swarovski Crystals
  6. Problem with the Zed is it'd cost me more than £3.57 in petrol to get to Halfords and back
  7. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/turtlewax-sealant-wax-500ml-552777331?type=shopping Use code winter35 for £3.57 incl delivery! Verging on FREENESS
  8. Hyundai has come a long way since the Hyundai Scoupe!
  9. Spur of the moment impulse "want" has subsided. Dug out my old Chinese knock off PsP console and fed my retro gaming cravings. Small play anywhere gizmo was cheap as chips.
  10. Cheaper than replacement. Plus extra cosmetic enhancement. WIN WIN
  11. +1 on above 5w30 according to the manual
  12. I remember I crunched mine on a kerb at the exit of a multistorey car park about 12 yrs ago. The repair was flawless and still going strong. Might be worth getting a quote for repair as well as replace.
  13. The reflections are looking really crisp
  14. Not seen many Azures on here for a while. That pic does the Azures proud I originally ordered mine in Azure but changed my mind to sunset orange a week later.......so pictures like this are a little bitter sweet for me.
  15. Congratulations on your new Zed
  16. Just ordered another bottle of this https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/turtle-wax-dry-shine-rinse-wax-512-delivered-at-carparts4less-3326285 My first order will be arriving Monday but today's rim session reminded me how hard applying an LSP is in the cold damp winter. So I'll be putting this in a tiny travel spray bottle to apply to wheel barrels and spokes after rinsing, then simply jetrinse again to activate. Silver rims seem to be very forgiving at showing streaks from over application or not drying down after application with this stuff. So I'm planning to use a few spritz per wheel after every wash. Will report back when I get it.
  17. Now winter is here and most of the weekend is daddy duties, it's almost impossible to have time to get surfaces perfectly dry. So washed the rims with shampoo and a mitt. Got most of the water off with a quick leaf blower session. Then wiped them over with Optimum Optiseal as it doesn't mind damp surfaces. I used to love the glossy finish of Megs Endurance gel, but don't have time to dry the tyres 100%. So after the cordless leaf blower I wiped over with the water based Autoglym instant tyre dressing. Happy days Until some theiving toe rags knicked my number plates a couple hours ago
  18. ........of it's number plates Tucked her away in the garage while I await new plates. Robbed the front and rear plates a couple of hours ago. Neighbour came to tell me he saw lads messing with the car while it was parked on the road. Thankfully no other damages. Somehow I doubt it's to clone another 05 sunset orange zed, but you never know. Got a crime reference number as I'm expecting them to be used to set off speed cameras, steal petrol or worse. Anyway, told friends if they see my zed driving around with unloved paint, dirty rims and tailpipes....... IT'LL BE THE CLONE NOT MINE
  19. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/pandora-box-6-wooden-double-screened-diy-mini-arcade-bartop-18565-using-promo-stack-at-aliexpress-deals-pandoras-box-official-3328733 What do you guys think? As a tech novice I thought I'd ask more knowledgeable people if this is a good deal
  20. Very creative ad. Someone at Bosch must have some funky nightmares to come up with this
  21. Got one from the main dealer. They ordered it. 2 days later it arrived. Drove to collect it. About £7 if I remember. Including petrol there and back I reckon £12-15. So if you can get one delivered from a different supplier for £15 I'd do that and save time. Or jam a Haribo in and hope for the best
  22. Not sure if a repost. Only just watched this and spotted a blue convertible 370z in the end battle.
  23. +2 Lockwood and Greenwood. They've looked after my zed for the past 11 years. They have a courtesy car available if prebooking work in. If your car is lowered, be wary of the entrance. The left side has a dip. Approach from the right half
  24. Congratulations. Lovely photo that.
  25. Probably been going on for years but still a distressing sight to return to for any owner.
