  1. I think the key to parking is 1. Park it like like you're abandoning it (as above) 2. Never look back as you walk away (or if you do, smile and nod appreciatively at your excellent parking effort )
  2. I think he must have forgotten to set a reserve
  3. I put a bid in but missed the end of the auction, went pretty cheap I thought
  4. I always have my digital speedo on - I think it would annoy me for a while not having it. What's a rest plate? arm rest?
  5. it depends what car you're used to I guess..., but I'd rather have to shut the door twice than rattle the driver's fillings!
  6. I've heard people say that hire cars have more power because they've been run-in by a variety of people who drive in different ways. I presume this means it has been mercilessly thrashed by everyone?! is this true or is it just gossip perpetuated in order to offload rentals? Any scientific evidence?
  7. Those wheels look really good on the roadster

Similar to me, although my office is 48 miles away, so nearly 500 miles of traffic-filled M6 and M42 a week I might as well be in a 1 litre zed for all the fun I get . At least it gets warmed up! Saying that, I've been at home on stand-down for most of January, and was out the country a fair bit last year so my average annual mileage is all over the place.

  10. Spotted this afternoon, on Long Lane, private plate 'JWC',
  11. Sounds good Did the decats or the y-pipe make the most difference to the noise? I'm fitting my Stillen Y-pipe on Monday, can't decide on decats though...
  12. Did you consider the Alfa GT V6 when looking at the Brera?
  13. G-Whizz?! If they are persistent offenders who drive around in a £50 car with no licence/tax/MOT/insurance/brain cells, then maybe leave them in the car when it's crushed?
  14. Mine isn't a JDM but clicks sometimes near the top of the pedal travel when pressing the clutch. I don't think it has always done it, but has for quite a while now, without getting any worse.
  15. Could be the transaction ID that you get on the email receipt?

    18" wheel offset

I always wonder why wheels and tyres use a combination of metric and imperial measurements - as an engineer I'd be shot if I did that
  17. I'm no expert on these fault codes, but from past cars I think if an O2 sensor is failing then it sends bad information which affects the fueling trim and makes the car run rough (esp. on idle). Clearing the fault code may reset the fuel trim value and make it run ok until sensor goes out of range again. The sensors are by the cats, may well be stubborn to remove if it's rusted in. A faulty cat would be a lot more expensive! Might also be an air leak somewhere? first thing to check might be the electrical connectors to the O2 sensors on the cats, see if they are in good condition or if contacts need cleaning?
  18. I'm in the same situation, and 19p of the 40p / mile I get is meant to contribute to overheads, which leaves 21p/mile for fuel. I work away from home a lot, so a decent car that I enjoy driving is one of the few things I can take with me to brighten my day - I'm not giving that up lightly!
  19. I was wondering about this too - the laquer seems to be peeling off mine
  20. Sounds like a great weekend! I'd normally be working up that way around that time of year, but unfortunately not this year. I'd recommend the Cymyran Hotel as already mentioned, I'd say its the best in the area, also nice and out the way for parking Zeds I've not used that travelodge but wouldn't normally touch them with a bargepole. Also Holyhead is a bit rough imho.

    Side light bulb

Front side light? http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=31205 It's a bit fiddly, not much space in there... you could consider changing them for LEDs but make sure you get decent ones or they fall apart
