  1. i dont know what he's driving but that makes mincemeat of all the other cars out there!
  2. doesn't look too bad to me, but the arches are huge, so the doors look a bit odd, and the fuel filler cap has been moved, how much work does that involve?
  3. I've been to vienna which was good, off to Riga this year at end of November.
  4. mine rattles on startup, only sometimes, and only for a second. Not sure if its when I take my foot off the clutch, or if it does it anyway...
  5. Excellent! mine are a little chipped too, will get some of this for next time I take my wheels off.
  6. looks good, the best colour what % tints do you have?

    centre caps

Thanks for the advice, I thought that would be the best way , my wheels aren't in too bad condition apart from some bubbling on the spokes.

    centre caps

Probably a silly question, but do I have to take the wheel off to pop out the centre cap (rays), or is there a trick to getting them out without damaging the wheel? thanks Mike
  9. I'll go for this 1. Tarmac 2. Rawbhp 3. mc 4. 5.
  10. that looks amazing! I guess the carbon hatch sits a little higher due to its lightness? personally I think the bits on the ends of the diffuser don't really go with the sleek lines of the car though
  11. I also gave in to the smart phones and got a SE Xperia, which has the same problem of the alarm not working when the phone is off. Battery life is also only good for a day! Not totally convinced by smart phones yet...
  12. sniffpetrol did a good article on lotus http://sniffpetrol.com/2010/09/20/lotus-announces-new-idea/
  13. pulling out of a drive on Barnt Green Rd this morning, just before 8am I think.
  14. Q: why is there a bolt sticking out the front wheel hub that stops my spacers fitting? A: It matches a cut out in the original front wheels that stops the larger rears being fitted. Remove the bolt.
  15. This may me a bit of a novice question, but are the plenums the same on all engines? count me in
  16. Tonight I had over 50 miles on the DTE, with about 390 on the trip since last fill up. I put 61.5 litres in the tank. DTE went to 500 This tells me two things: 1: I should have been able to do another 114 miles until I ran dry (assuming tank can actually hold 80 litres) 2: I'm spending too much time driving on the motorway!

    Insurance 350Z GT

my insurance went up by a third this year, through absolutely no fault of my own. I'm with Highway insurance through Greenlight, who were still the cheapest I tried. Chris Knott also use Highway for modified cars, so they couldn't beat the quote. They told me if you don't have a year's experience with a powerful rwd you'd struggle to get a decent quote. I have never, ever, got a reasonable quote through a price comparison site (and you get endless mithering from the companies that will actually quote)

    Hill Start

yeah I was just surprised you'd have it on a sports car at all... its the sort of thing that would put me off the 370, would take quite a while to get used to, I'd imagine.

    Hill Start

sorry to but in but how does it work? my drive is on a slope too, would it mean I have to put it in reverse instead of just rolling backwards whilst still in first gear? (for example just repositioning on a slope)
  20. That looks pretty smart for a kids toy! Looks like you could have done with an off-road version for that garden though?

    Mot due

Not really that close to Hagley Rd, but for the last 2 years I've used Yale Garage, Church Hill, Northfield, B31 3UB. 0121 475 2958 They've booked me in at very short notice. Last year only 1 advisory on the handbrake lever travel, this year no advisories
  22. Good result! and a good heads-up on that one, will have to check as mine's also an 04

    Parking light LEDs

I used some just like that in my car. They were extremely bright! can't remember if they were from autobulbs direct or ultraleds, but either the heat of the xenons or the vibration (or both) caused the yellow LED discs to fall off fairly quickly. Not up to the job of being in a headlight!
  24. I think the prices should be visible and not by pm, I appreciate the traders may have varying stock levels and prices, but they could say (as some do) I have xx in stock at £yy. A lot of advice could be done publically too - it helps everyone, and I doubt that anyone would really lose business through giving away a few tips/tricks?
