  1. the LED's are the rear lights, only standard fit from '06 I believe, but many people retro-fit them

    y-pipe heat shield

No worries! Are you changing cats too? I'm not sure at the moment, dont really want to go for a de-cat because I can't be bothered with changing them for the MOT (also don't want it too loud). I thought the y-pipe was a good price thats why I was going for it

    y-pipe heat shield

I'm thinking of changing the y-pipe to a japspeed one, but I notice the original has a heatshield (or something) on it, and the replacement doesn't... Will there be any problems caused by fitting the japspeed one? cheers mike
  4. I've told my insurer about induction kit, spacers, exhaust, rear lights, ... but not brake pads, stubby aerial, tyres etc! Although they dont charge extra for these things, £25 to change the policy document each time is a bit steep though in my opinion! matth76: I wouldn't mention the panel filter personally.... unless you plan to do a more obvious mod later, then declare the two at the same time. would an insurer think it reasonable that an average motorist would take his car apart to find if a non-standard filter was hidden in a standard airbox?
  5. I've had a problem with my previous cars that the rear washer jet tubing had frozen and popped the connector off the end, so filled some random part of my car with washer fluid
  6. It might be that the headlight washers might stop working before the windscreen washers run out? try topping up the washer bottle?
  7. maybe an enemy with a HIAB dropped it on there for a laugh
  8. Mine is not ABS related, happens almost every time the ESP throttles the revs way down. Might go and record it in a bit to see if anyone else gets it sort of like a metallic 'twanging'? hmmm can't think how to describe it!
  9. its pretty bad... I cant compare it to any other rwd cars in the snow, but you'll struggle for traction, and just find yourself heading which ever way the road slopes
  10. my tree is sat outside the back door wondering why its outside again after it was a good tree and only dropped a few needles
  11. they don't really help much anyway, think they only have two settings, which isnt quite enough for 'under-tall' people like myself!
  12. I hate it when someone rings the phone of someone who's not at their desk, leave it ringing for ages, realise no-one is answering, then proceed to call every other phone in turn! And its not usually urgent either. I'm not employed as a secretary Also, people can't understand why I don't answer the phone if i'm busy... why should the phone demand my immediate attention? and yes I am a miserable git.. haha

    Winter Time

I use mine every day, whatever the weather must admit though, last winter I was doing 94 miles a day commuting, boring M42 and M6, shame to put so many miles on a boring commute, might have to buy an old nag for work if that happens again
  15. I was under the impression that if you're only doing a short journey then the battery wont get much chance to be recharged after cranking the engine over, but shouldn't matter too much what load you have on the alternator whilst the engine is running?
  16. still need one, please don't make me go to nissan!

    windscreen

auto-adjusting wipers? I thought its the mic for the hands-free? I'm sure I read in the manual they have auto adjust wipers. I guess there had to been some screen sensor? I would like to know were the mic is lol, I just thought it was the two little speaker looking things on the roof lining. Alexz well after looking at it I don't know what its for either
  20. Do you have a service book? it really depends what has been done in the past and if services have been done as per the manual. needs a service every 9k miles Try a search, that will give loads of info
  21. Only just seen this, like the idea so count me in. Would prefer a flip key if it's possible though!
