  1. Absolutely no point buying a high performance car like the Zed, then skimping on fuel, buying the cheapest tyres etc. If you can't afford to run it you should trade it in for a diesel vectra
  2. .....and then he comes back and does something to your Zed, or worse. The next thing you know you've got a full on feud where no one's a winner. As others have said, let it slide as you've not actually lost our financially, but make sure he knows that. Set up a video camera so if he does it again you can get him prosecuted, recovering all your costs from him in the process.
  3. Well its crossed my mind Mart - just wonder what the running costs would be - remember I am not really too fussed about a performance car I would prefer something cheap reliable and comfy on the long trips but of course I am fussy and cant stand to become Mr Dull BMW or Merc or VAG !! Nothing wrong with a bitg of VAG Get yourself one of these buggers, can pick up a tidy one for about £5k.
  4. Is fifth gear back on? I thought it got canned?
  5. So how does it compare to the 350Z? Happy you made the move? I worry the 370Z is not enough of an animal compared to the 350Z....
  6. Or in some cases small losses
  7. A quick couple of mine just after I first bought it, wish it looked that clean now!
  8. +1 to all the comments about improving driving standards. The driving test is way to easy, evident by all the drivers on the road who don't seem to know how to drive! Harder driving tests also means less cars on the road, surely a good thing. Driving is a priviledge, not a right, and you have to earn it!
  9. If your looking at an MY06 (with the 296 bhp engine) you'll be very lucky to get one for less than £400 road tax. Not sure exactly when the update was made but I don't think it was long before 23/03/06.
  10. There's more changes than that, that's just one of the easier ways ot spot the difference. 06's have LED lights, better quality interior amongsy other things. The search button is your friend.
  11. Welcome mate. Firstly the easiest way to check if it's UK spec is the shape of your number plates. All imports have square number plates. If you're in any doubt check the paperwork when you go to see it. In 2006 they made a few cosmetic changes and beefed up the engine to 296bhp. Easiest way to check is look at the grill in the front bumper. If it's got two thick slats accross it you've got yourself a facelift. 12. I don't really see what huge amount effort you've put in seeing as you haven't even been to see the car. Take a chill pill dude, plenty of other Zeds around.
  13. So it's a Cat C and the latest owner is looking to sell it on after a very short period of ownership. That makes me wonder.....
  14. Go for it, at that price you'll have enough change to get it resprayed
  15. Someone has recomended a garage to me called fcm motorsport who i am going to try when i need to get my discs and pads changed in the summer. Otherwise bristol's a bit thin on options
  16. An extra £200 on road tax consideirng the amount you'll spend on fuel (not to mention the overall cost of the car) is not a lot. Just get one bought!
  17. Exact same thing happened ot me a few months ago. Some kind soul will have given you a knock while parking and the clips that hold the indicator in place will have snapped. That's snapped of the inside of the bumper so if you take it to Nissan they will tell you you need a new bumper! (That's what they told me ). Anyway I just took it to a local bodyshop and they bonded it back on, but I did need a new indicator cluster as well so cost me about £200 all in to get fixed.
  18. Wow, awesome work. I take it you are no longer hankering after GTRs?
  19. Does that mean Sarnie can't sell stuff yet?
  20. Aye, user name is Sarnie! Did you do that on purpose Captain Sensible? Is this a wind up?
  21. I'm sure I once saw a photo of John Barnes in a yellow GT4, did he ever sig up to the forum?
  22. Congrats Ian, top work. Looking forward to hearing what it's putting out on the dyno.
