Sarnie - forgive me for perhaps stating the obvious. But you have owned a Lamborghini before, so surely you are better placed than (almost) anyone else on this forum to judge the value of one of these super car clubs offers. Seems like a bloody waste of money to me, but what do I know?
Can't wait for next season. Glad Legard has gone as he didn't really add a lot ot proceedings. I do find Coulthard a bit wooden though, and he does have a habit of stating the obvious. Hopefully he will relax into the role as it will give him a lot more air time.
Going to both Silverstone and Spa this season. Never been to a GP before so cannot wait. Thought I should get a couple of races in while they're still using V8s!
If you're looking for a 'fun' car with a removable roof you could always go down the TVR Tuscan route. Not a proper convertible but looks great with the roof off, but has a proper 'lid' when needed. Plus they sound immense as well. You could pick up a tidy one for £15k.
The answer all depends on your budget, the age of the car you want etc. I'm having a not too dissimilar debate in my head at the moment, with the main contenders being an M3, RS4 or 996 turbo. Current favourite is the 911.
James May doing yoga right at the end had me in wetting myself. Great episode all round but I can't help wonder who will be doing the power laps in future episodes.
I still don't see why they can't just say everyone gets x litres of fuel per race, build whatever engine you want. Would make for some great racing with a mix of turbos, V8s, V12s etc.
Erm, well if they're on this forum they probably have a pretty good idea of Zed running costs. I think it's a pretty fair comment that if you want to buy a car like a Zed then you need deep enough pockets to run it and enjoy it properly, otherwise what's the point?
5 minutes is pretty quick in these conditions. But it doesn rely on the engine getting some temparture in it beofre hot air starts to blow. In my old car (a 1.8T) it took at least 10 minutes to start blowing warm air in sub zero temperatures.
Why not allow N/A engines to run alongside the turbo engines as they did in the 80s? As long as power outputs were kept simialr it would make F1 really interesting. I would imagine that some circuits would suit the N/A engines and others the turbo cars.
Never been to Le Mans, but that sounds like a mega idea.
+1. Only thing they did screw up on was paying off the finance on my previous car. But other than that it wasn't too bad. Apart from Steve. He was a prat.
+2. Steve is definately a prat.
