Mopedmark Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Be difficult on an engine you would need 100% de grease and the heat may well and truly f#ck it up but it looks fantastic Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) No where near to finished but getting there Edited August 4, 2015 by Bodyboarder81 4 Quote
Payco Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) Looking very nice indeed. I appreciate how much works goes into this. I spent hours and hours with a dremel on mine two years ago. Will be good to see your finished bay. You need to treat yourself to some bonnet dampers. Edited August 5, 2015 by Payco 2 Quote
Ceejay29 Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Haven't touched it in a while. I think respraying the plastic above the rad and slam panel is next; 3 Quote

gazzard27 Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Might get slammed for this (no pun intended) but what is the purpose of a slam panel? like the look of the red one ogman, but just curios as to what they do? I really want to supercharge mine that stillen looks amaze Quote
Payco Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 It's to cover whats seen without one and to make it look pretty. Quote
gazzard27 Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 fair enough lol i didnt know if there was any performance features to it, but i do agree they look a lot better, how much are they? Quote
Payco Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Around £100ish. Depends what you go for. I have a carbon one from Japan via fleabay. Paid about £70 3 years ago. Photo below.Plenty of sellers on here. Quote
Wasso Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Might get slammed for this (no pun intended) but what is the purpose of a slam panel? like the look of the red one ogman, but just curios as to what they do? I really want to supercharge mine that stillen looks amaze The main purpose or it's devised purpose is to divert air into the rad. Air Diversion Panel as it's otherwise known. Does it make any difference, probably not. But as Payco says it creates a cleaner look under the hood and on most panels the hood catch hole is reduced, making it neater. 2 Quote
