HaydnH Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Some people shouldn't be allowed to buy powerful cars let alone drive at these events! The organisers should have used hay bails or something at least though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Piy_h4QmpI Quote

Ricey Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Just think about the moment though.......you've just cleaned out 17 people and you don't know if anyone is dead, if there are kids.......I I couldn't get out of the car, I'd just go comatose I think! Quote

Ekona Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Lack of confidence. If he'd kept his foot in and steered correctly, he'd probably have been okay. I suspect the driver has a modicum of car control, but just not the balls to put theory to practice. Quote

rtbiscuit Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 yes the car driving was bad, but has no one seemed to notice the completely inadequate setup from the organisers. how anyone thought some mobile railings would offer any protection to a crowd. i think its like rallying if you chose to stand that close you do so at your own risk. docwra Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 We get told that one of the best things at Karpacz drift events is how close the crowd get to the cars, Ive personally always cringed watching the videos as its like waiting for Grp B to happen all over again. Always make sure you have an escape route if youre watching racing, a mate of mine narrowly escaped getting a bike to the midsection at the TT a few weeks ago as hed moved the stuff that was behind him (a bike and a table/chairs), unfortunately the guy next to him wasnt so lucky Anyway, if you think thats bad, this is an accident waiting to happen: Quote
HaydnH Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 At least those guys are (semi) professional and there are armcos between them and the audience. Quote
docwra Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 They are also going sideways at about 85 mph, and that crossed thing in the first video looks a bit less strong than armco Trela is the master and Id fecking love to go there though, it must be such a rush watching them come past like that Quote
rtbiscuit Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 was going to say at least it was a kind of armco there. Quote
GT Driver Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Saw this crash on the news earlier. That driver is a complete clown. Quote
Brettster Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Horrendous, Then in all fairness the Stig went off road in the CCX and he knows what he is doing!! Some cars should be left well alone Quote
vroom811 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Obviously he had the traction control off and he'd never drive a car so powerful before. Quote
Aiuchi-Gary Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 As I said in a recent spotted post, incidents are usually caused by to much speed or to much stupidity or a deadly combination of both Quote
NeilMH Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I personally think the driver is an idiot....it doesn't take much to work out the proximity of the spectators...and just calm down a bit. Quote
