  1. Definatley track tyres next then probably coliover suspension next but we'll see how she handles at the next track day. The toyosport is lounder even at low revs. Excellent value but would have liked it to only be loud above 4k! Bit of a drone / buzz when accelerating from below 2k but not too bad. You've still got the stock W brace haven't you? i've got the UltraRacing one and it snags on the exhuast so have just ordered a new OEM one. Yeah would be good to get to a meet at some stage. i have a 2 year old which makes it difficult though! That link you snet di
  2. And finally here's a pic of all the components treated for rust, painted and back on the car. I've gone for a "white" theme (although I couldn't resist painting the diff cover electric blue). You may notice a brand new exhaust too....😉 Still a large list to do on the car but it's been off road for 6 months now and it's time to get it on the track.
  3. Here's a pic of the underside of the chassis treated for rust and painted.
  4. Here's a pic of the underside of the car with everything stipped off. As you can see, a fair amount of rust.
  5. So just a quick up date on how the rust restoration of the chassis went. Here's how rusty the car was before:
  6. Here's the video of me fitting the Torqen high flow cats (inculdes the obligatory exhaust sound test)
  7. Next mod was fitting some high flow cats from Torqen. Really good quality items and the fitment was spot on. Should add up to 15 HP and made the stock exhuast note a bit more beefy.
  8. OpenTop do a wiper and washer delete kit for about £40 https://www.opentop.fr/product-page/glasplug-pour-350z?lang=en
  9. So, a common fault that likely has affected us all at some stage is the problem with the boot not opeing properly. The helper springs wear out so the boot lid doesn't open enough. Nissan wanted £105 for a pair of new springs but @Sim posted about upgrated springs from OpenTop for only £45 so I gave them a go. They are very strong. Not used them that long but so far they work very well. You do need to give the lid a bit of a slam so it closes properly. Maybe they are too strong! I'd imagine if you had a large spoiler on the boot they'd still work. I've

  11. The previous owner may have disconnected the gyroscope to turn off the VDC / TCS. It's under the centre console. I installed a button to turn it on and off at will. This video may help you:
  12. I rang my local Nisan dealer and for a pair of new 350Z DE cats, brace yourself, they wanted £2388!
  13. Got a ToyoSport Y-Pipe and everything now fits fine.
  14. @SHEZZA Cheers mate. Its a strange one. I can only assume the pervious owner bougth a cheap Y-Pipe and it didn't fit. The exhaust fitter must have extended the cats as it's easier to weld mild steel than stainless?
  15. Here's a close up pic of the stock cats. The weld looks too messy to be from the factory so they've been extended to fit the Y-Pipe?
  16. Hi all, Your help here is greatly appreciated. Have replaced my stock cats with Torqen HFCs but the Y-Pipe now fouls on the transmission brace. The Y-Pipe is an aftermarket stainless steel one (no idea of brand). Have my stock cats been extended at the end? Is the Y-Pipe incorrect? Torqen assure me the HFCs are correct.
  17. I used the Rust Buster kit. Check my build for more info, page 5
  18. Just a quick update on the rust restoration project. Have started to put the car back together now and fitted a few cheeky upgrades. My video below goes into more detail as usual
  19. @checkle91 NS wasn't quite as bad. Just sufrace rust that i was able to treat.
  20. I'd advise taking the side skirt off too as there can be rust hiding under there too. Here's what mine looked like...

    Velocity stack.

@flyboy Can i get one please? I'll give you a DM now.
  22. @ZMANALEX Thanks for the quick reply. It's appreciated. I'm pretty sure the bolt was fine as i had a good look and cleaned it up on a wire wheel before i put it back in. I'll DM you about purchasing a new joint now.
  23. @ZMANALEX The bolt just spins when i try to take it out. Tried puting pressure on it with a screwdriver in hope that it "grips" but to no avial. Any advice on how to get the bolt out please?
