StevoD Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 350z paul was 17 or 18 when he got his zed and then 20 or 21 when he got his r35 gtr. His brother was 17 with a 370z and is currently 19 or so with a c63 amg coupe infact he has just bought a cosworth impreza also Blimey, I've always wondered how people can afford to buy/insure nice cars at that age! I didn't even have the dosh to buy a car at 17 and at 19 I just had a sh*tbox mk 4 escort that cost me 400 quid! I bought my car when I just turned 21 and it was about 2 years old. In the week before I bought my missus a new suzuki swift sport. Its all about how you spend the money. At that age I worked very hard doing alot of hours and decided rather than drinking my money I was gonna spend it on cars. With out wanting to sound rude, please feel free to tell me to F OFF, But buying a new swift and a 350z in 2 week were they bought outright?? at that age if so what job were you doing then Quote

I'm not so sure the exact figures but +60% deposits on both as I needed to keep finance running for gap insurance(or so I was led to believe) Quote

bronzee Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) bronzee has owned her Zed the longest Though the thread was who's the youngest and oldest, no who's got had their Zed the longest. On the initial count, I shall be quiet, as I am neither. Edited June 28, 2013 by bronzee Quote
JetSet Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Colin is the oldest current owner I know of at 65, I may well be next at 64. Caroline is probably the oldest female owner at 61. Pete Why isn't there a 'dislike' button I was wrong, Yankeesitter is at least 68, possibly even older than Hugh. Posted in Feb 2011 I am 66 and have proven 9 years NCB driving less than 8k miles per year. Pete Quote

370Ad Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) Got mine when I was 23. Insured for £450..bargain! TBH most people who have a full time job can buy a Z. Buying it outright is a different thing all together. I had a Yaris then a Celica then the Z. Where as my friends went from there first car straight into a 10-15k hot hatch on loan. Needless to say they are now all getting to the age where they have had to give them back and now drive diesels.... Saving up for the right car makes everything so much sweeter Edited June 28, 2013 by 350Ad Quote
