Lexx Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Well, with the arrival of my twin boys 5 weeks ago, my small sports cars are temporarily numbered. After much searching and test driving involving a brief deposit on an X-Trail, a longer deposit on a Nissan Elgrand, we have finally found a car that does everything we want and can transport the whole family and all the paraphernalia. I give you the new Lexx family mobile; It's the 2.2 diesel, titanium X sport. Full review and non dealer photos to come once I get time. 1 Quote
coldel Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 So nearly went the Renault Scenic, Ford C-Max route with the arrival of our little fella...ford focus more than accommodates though! That said, twins.... Quote
WhackyWill Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Good choice, best of the bunch..wouldnt touch the Renault will be work 50p in a few years.. Quote
LRF4N Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Nice. Prob one of the nicest looking mpv's you can buy just now 1 Quote
The Chubby Ninja Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Its actualy quite smart for a baby bus lol. You will need to swap out that 2.2 diesel lump and throw in a vq powerplant lol Quote
AMT Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Don't diss it , my papa has the same one, same colour, same tints... looks the business for the discerning person who still wants to look good but has to do some haulin' lol Quote
Neilp Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Epic car btw! I had one while my work vehicle was in for repairs. Very quick and very nice place to be! Ford are starting to impress me more and more these days. The new mondeo titanium x sport is a magnificent car! Quote
spursmaddave Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 (edited) Haha I have noticed a lot of MPV drivers are frustrated petrol heads All for the good having kids, I am really glad at 43 I can drive a 2 seater coupe as my kids are 25 & 22 so no need for car seats Edited February 16, 2013 by spursmaddave Quote

But you can't turn off the passenger airbag, so that was game over for it. Hence the S-Max. Same chassis and interior styling, just bigger!! lol Quote
Ricey Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Personally I think it looks ace. Sport mpv's ftw! Quote
Lexx Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 Collected and pics: Full driving review to follow. Quote

glrnet Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Quite impressed with the look of that Al Quote
AK350Z Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Wot no Elgrand??? Ah well, looks good. Would make a good bike van too.... Quote
LRF4N Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 You've even put the private plate on it. A lot of people would leave it off the family wagon if they're used to performance cars Looks good Quote
Ebized Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Needs be - and that looks a good choice and from what I have read should be a quite good drive too Quote
Lexx Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 Andy - Elgrand was no good in the end. I'm too bloody tall!! As for the plate - retention was due next month. If its on a car it's free, saves paying for another yrs retention. I'm actually very impressed with it so far. Lots of gadgets and toys. Storage everywhere in it. And the Ford Convers+ (colour dash cluster) is a great thing. The 2.2 diesel is quite pokey, and gives a nice kick on boost that I wasn't expecting. Quote
DoogyRev Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Looks nice Al One of the best looking MPV type vehicles IMO. Quote

Sorry sounded like I was making fun of the plate on the car lol I meant not many people carriers are worthy of a private plate but this one is cos it's a looker. If you saved the retention fee then even better Quote
