Beau Posted June 3, 2012 Author Posted June 3, 2012 I don't think they are that bad, (I've seen much worse done to a Zed) I'm with Ricey - I sort of like them. Practicality may be an issue but variety is the spice of life. A decent corner and there will be tyre damage, I'll put my money on it. I am a bit confused to how you think going around a corner will lead to tyre damage Quote
chettle Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I dont like them sorry I think it would look alot better if they were tucked into the arches more... Quote

I am a bit confused to how you think going around a corner will lead to tyre damage there wouldn't well lets compress the suspension and see what the tyre hits ...... The car looks as though its still on stock suspension which is soft. The body roll will be awful. I can guarantee that those will rub If you can look at this picture and tell me that a decent pot hole or bit of body roll wont make this contact the arch then your bonkers Quote

Neilp Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I edited my last post. I can guarantee a tight bend at with any sort of bump will cause those to catch on the front on a lock. What I dont think you realise is that it probably not the metal arch its rubbing it'll be the arch liner Quote
rtbiscuit Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 they'll be rubbing yes, but after seeing the beating someone elses tyres took from rubbing alot, its suprising how resiliant a tyre is. if i hadn't seen it with my own eye's i would agree with you neil. i'd be interested to know what the handling will be like on that, as the increase in road contact at the front has got to change the handling characteristics. that and the increase in unsprung weight. Stew Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Should have got 24s. No way, its all about the 26s hella donked yo! Quote
Ekona Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 And I thought the original 19" wheels you had on there were bad. Quote
docwra Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Youve asked for opinions ........ this backs up comments Ive made elsewhere on here, that cheap wheels will always look cheap. Having them this big (although I am surprised that they look to fit OK) will just draw more attention to them. Quote
KyleR Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I think they are too big, too shiny and the dish is way too big on the front for a roughian like the Zed. I like things a little more simple. Quote
spawn Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Sorry i think they look GAY! But if the op likes them then fairplay Quote
BulletMagnet Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I've seen the picture that was the inspiration..... Quote
Luke0549 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Also, appears to be illegal tinted windows? Sell the wheels whilst you can, get some decent 18's and enjoy the handling the car once had before you ruined it. 2p Quote
Sarnie Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I go away for 10 days and this is what happens.................... Cheap, massive wheels. **** me. Quote
