RobPhoboS Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I've noticed over the last few weeks that photobucket is getting slower and slower, to the point whereby I can't see anything from it if it's posted. I'm going to dump everything over to www.imgur.com Seems like that service is running properly 2 Quote
coldel Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I have moved everything to imgur, same here PB is just shocking at the moment 2 Quote
mattross1313 Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I've noticed that PB sends my laptop into overdrive when browsing through my library's. I installed an ad blocker plugin to my chrome browser and it runs great now 1 Quote
marzman Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 I thought it was just me needing a new laptop. That site has been horrific to use for the last 12 months at least for me. 2 Quote
RobPhoboS Posted January 18, 2017 Author Posted January 18, 2017 There is definitely something going on, I don't mean just because you don't use an adblocker. The site is clearly having work done behind the scenes but at the detriment of stability and usefulness. Any alternatives like Imgur are worth using for now me thinks. Quote
Adam B Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Same here takes forever to load, too many adverts and other associated tat. 1 Quote
Strudul Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 PB has always been shite. It's slow, and a massive ballache to view full size images. (I use Ad Block Plus) Quote
docwra Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Same as Col, downloaded everything from PB and putting it onto Imgur atm. PB is dead, shame as it used to be the boy. 1 Quote
Linus27 Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Not just me then. I've noticed it's been slow and crap for the last 12 months or so and have considered moving as well. Might check out Imgur. 1 Quote
coldel Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 I thought it was my laptop at first, taking ages to open up an image etc. But then tried it on my work laptop and the same problem. Imgur miles better, less ads, faster load times etc. 1 Quote
Jetpilot Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Is it a simple process to dump all photos over? Quote
RobPhoboS Posted January 18, 2017 Author Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) Is it a simple process to dump all photos over? Well you can't unfortunately press a button that'll do it, as far as I'm aware (?). You'll have to download them, and re-upload them. Edited January 18, 2017 by RobPhoboS Quote
-Bradders- Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Been like it for about a year for me too! its terrible now, i only go there if i need it, hence why you've not seen any photo's posted from me since my rebuild lol! 1 Quote
RobPhoboS Posted January 18, 2017 Author Posted January 18, 2017 I think there's an app for imgur, so you can directly upload to it from yer blower Quote
Ekona Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 I shall also migrate to imgur now. I've no issues with PB, however if that's the will of the people then so be it. However, if it's sh*t I'm coming back and moaning like crazy at everyone who has recommended it on here. 5 Quote

Ekona Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Not working for me, nothing is uploading from the mobile app. This is stupid. Quote
nissanjuke Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 sorry just getting use to imgur/simple 1 Quote
Ekona Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 What a PITA. It doesn't generate the correct link from the mobile app, so you have to c+p manually then remove the s from the http bit. Quote
