Hi guys,

How are we all? Ive joined up as ive just bought myself a nice 350Z. Its a bit of a project if im honest i bought it cheap as the engine is wellllllllll On its way out.

It idles fine but as soon as its reved it seems to knock very badly... bottom end? not sure. i was thinking streched chain and possibly jumped a couple teeth. the engine managemnt light is on.. it idles beautifully which is throwing me off.

Im thinking to pull the engine out and tear it apart. id atach a video but im not too sure how to... here is a pic of it anyway

Thanks guys

Is it perhaps not firing on all cylinders, first I'd check that, and then maybe a compression test. Before anything major.

Yes good idea with compression test although it dosnt sound like its missing. Its deffinatly a knocking sound. sounds like top end.
