  1. If it's been incorrectly revoked, then I agree that's a much bigger issue. This is something that needs checking urgently, but this is all getting a bit messy too.
  2. I think this has a lot to do with how you've phrased it to them, no offence intended. If you'd simply put down that you had your licence since the day you passed your test, but you had X conviction on Y date with Z ban length then this wouldn't even be an issue. I'm guessing you've incorrectly stated that your licence has been withdrawn or taken back or however you phrased it by the DVLA, when actually it hasn't at all. They may physically have asked for the card back back, and they may physically give you a new card, but that doesn't mean it's a new licence. Again, if I get nicked for speeding I have to send my photocard off to be endorsed. That doesn't mean I don't have a licence in the mean time and cannot drive, nor does it mean that it's a new licence when it comes back. You really need to speak to them again and be VERY clear in your terminology. No more saying that the DVLA have taken your licence off you, and more saying that you've simply had a ban of Z length for X conviction. It really is as simple as that, I really do think you've massively over-complicated this and confused people that you've spoken to.
  3. The date on the photocard is utterly irrelevant to anything. No-one had revoked your licence (that's the key term, not taken or anything else), you're simply on a short term non-medical driving ban. That's it. Think about it: Photocards only last ten years. When my one was due for renewal, I sent it off and got a new one with a brand new start date on it. That doesn't mean that suddenly my licence was only starting from that date.
  4. Ironically I thought the headlights actually looked really good
  5. What?! That’s insane. You haven’t had your licence revoked, you just had a ban: Your licence should in every way still be valid from when you passed your test!
  6. Just to clarify, every single auto ’box (and dual clutches) does this. If it didn’t, then it would make the car undriveable as it would snatch at every high rpm downshift. Nissan, BMW, VAG, Vauxhall, all the same.
  7. Lol nope, have I missed something obvious then?!
  8. You don’t need rev match on an automatic. It’s a torque converter, not a manual gearbox with regular clutches. Pull paddle, it’ll either let you change gear and match the revs to do so or it won’t let you change gear at all.

    What tyres ???

I find the Eagle F1s to be great in the dry but sketchy as hell in the wet, and that was on a 4WD car too. I binned off a perfectly decent set of them to move back to RE070, which are bizarrely more consistent in the wet than the EF1s. But the answer is MPS4. Head and shoulders above everything right now, barring MPS4S but you can’t get those in 18”s. Massively worth the extra cash, but don’t bother with nitrogen filling unless it’s free.
  10. EBay would be my first port of call. Probably ten to a penny on there.
  11. It's not to my taste, but personally I think you've done a cracking job there and that's a truly excellent guide for others to follow. Good job sir The only complaint I could make is that they do not fit very well at all at the bottom of the light cluster where arch, light and bumper all meet, as you can still see a massive amount of original arch there. That kinda ruins the effect, especially on the nearside where the stripes go right through it. Did you ever consider modifying that part to go right up to the join?
  12. ...and yet when people post up horrifically modified Zeds on here we all preach acceptance and individuality
  13. Simplest answer is often the right one
  14. Get a bunch of Mexicans to build a new wall?
  15. Nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
  16. Amazon prime a dremel then, and pop to Travis etc to get some cement to fill it with. Or you could just use some resin tbh, they’re small enough.
  17. Dremel down, fill the hole so you can’t see it. Job’s a carrot.
  18. And you realise that’s the EXACT same info as the Autocar article? It’s like they just waited a few months, then copy + pasted it into their own format. So really, it’s not even remotely close to confirming anything.
  19. I’ll believe it when I see it. 400bhp seems a massive power jump, unless it’s a much bigger and heavier car and needs the extra oomph... And 4WD in the Nismo version? Absolutely no chance
  20. Any person still using the word Yo, and brave enough to open a thread with it as the title, is alright by me
  21. FWIW I was always a bit unsure about the effectiveness of the TBM, until I cheaped out one day and used just the one bucket on my old car immediately prior to sale as someone was coming to look at it unannounced. The wrap went from still flawless to noticeable swirls in one sitting: I was gutted, and although no one normal would probably notice the difference, once you’re into making your car look good it stuck out like a sore thumb. Always, always, always TBM. It really does make a huge difference! Although I get that your back is stuffed and it’s awkward to do, if you can you’ll notice the difference. If you really can’t, then you need to be looking at getting a proper coating on there imho as at least that’ll be a bit harder to mark up, plus washing time is MASSIVELY reduced so the TBM takes a fraction of the time (like half, in my experience).
