  1. That looks awful
  2. Wow, that's an awful lot of black plastic Why don't car manufacturers just let us see the oily parts? They're the best bits!
  3. I don't want to own something that ugly. Normally I'm quite happy to buy ugly cars (VXR, Zed ragtop) but only if they've got everything else where it matters. In this case, the drivetrain lets it down so much that I wouldn't contemplate it, no matter how good the rest of it may be. My loss perhaps, and I'd happily have a go in one, but that's about it.
  4. Lights are hideous. Engine isn't exotic enough. Questions over fragility and especially dealer experience. Other than that, it's stunning. I've no interest in buying one though.
  5. Probably, but I think they really started to gain weight due to the safety stuff that the EU/US wanted adding in. An HPAS system will be heavier than a non-HPAS unit (it's a common mod among the MX5 lot), but I'm more concerned with the fact that they have to keep a mech unit in just in case the DBW system fails. That just seems counter productive to me. The only EPAS system I'm really familiar with is the Porsche one, and whilst it didn't bother me at first at all, the more I drive the new range the more it puts me off. Probably a good thing really, else I'd only go and buy a Boxster tomorrow otherwise Need to try the GT3 really, but that'll never happen.
  6. One of the few racers I have any time for on social media. He came across as a really nice guy, and his talent was immense: I've no doubt he'd have won the Supercup this year.
  7. How can they ever do away with a traditional rack if it's needed as a fail safe? You're right, you could convert LHD to RHD easily, but if it handles like crap then who cares? In theory I have no issues with EPAS or DBW, but in practice the former just isn't as good as a hydraulic one and the other benefits are negligible. Much the same as with hybrid, electric and hydrogen cars.

    Syron???????????

And yet, so many people on here buy massive wheels and envelop them in cheap rubber too. I'll never grasp the sense in spending £2K on shiny wheels, then £500 in rubber.
  9. Yes, because everyone knows that post count is directly related to how correct you are. Internet rule number one, innit. You're quite right, you don't have to prove anything. That's pretty much how the Jesus fan club survives, and funnily enough I don't care much for them either.

    Syron???????????

    FFS *facepalm*
  11. Awful news, hope you get back on your feet and sorted soon chaps. Lols at fire sale
  12. Excellent, so it's a system that feels odd and adds weight. Sorry, how is that progress?
  13. How is it underhand? They give you all their pricing up front, if you don't like it don't send them your phone. Dishonesty? Prove it. Not just your mate sent them a phone and they say it was broken and he said it wasn't, but actual proof. If you can't, then go look up libel in the dictionary.
  14. Probably drop it and then offer you less See, if they did that then that would be Watchdog-worthy, but otherwise it's just a normal business.
  15. Are you being deliberately obtuse, or is it purely a by-product? Report this to Watchdog if you like, watch them laugh in your face. The company have done nothing wrong here.
  16. Top spot, missed your thread
  17. Great write up, glad you enjoyed yourself fella
  18. I know, good job I'm so incredibly awesomely modest else it might go to my head!
  19. Spoiler ones are standard fit on the Zed IIRC, so a set of Bosch or PIAA ones in either spoiler or aero form should sort you out
  20. He didn't say where, which is a refreshing change, hence me giving a sensible reply for a change
  21. This month's EVO (189), p157.
  22. He doesn't like you either, if that makes you feel better.
  23. Never had it on mine, only went up to 135mph though before aero, gearing and heat killed the fun. Do you have normal, spoiler or aero blades on there?
  24. You really think we need another? Personally speaking, we have about 40 too many as it is, and even with the level of detail available people are still putting stuff in the wrong places. For example, the FAQs forum contains very little FAQs at all. I just think that instead of having another two, three or four forums for people to put the wrong things in, they could self-moderate and title stuff properly. After all, it's in their best interests, is it not?
  25. Or people could remember to put 350/370 in the title and stop us having yet-another sub-forum
