Lolwtfbbq Someone can't read a press release' date=' can they? Why on earth would a manual car have a dual-clutch?! Much better link, from PH So yeah, it's a manual or a dual-clutcher. And for $250,000, you'd have to be bonkers.
  2. Christ, I'm in the odd position of completely agreeing with everything Dblock just said. That's an odd feeling. But yeah, the Zed isn't for everyone, sell it and buy something you actually like.
  3. Actually, what did you think of the drive? Be good to hear your opinion.
  4. It's an OPC, what were you expecting? Discounts across the board?! They're worth every penny. IMHO, of course. You don't really need the S, the 2.7 has more than enough grunt and a lovely sweet engine. Hold off on the options unless you desperately want them and you won't find a better car for the money If a 981 is out of reach, see if you can find a 987 R as they're sublime.
  5. I would give serious consideration to not driving the car until you at least have an idea of what the problem is. All three of those lights on after a hard brake would concern me somewhat. It may just be a sensor, but it may be something else a bit more serious, and until you know for sure that's a hell of a risk.
  6. The biggest issue is when people start decatting, most other exhausts are fine up until that point. For example, I only saw 104dB with a K1 with the bungs out, although I always left them in for the actual track out of common sense. There's not a lot else out there that's going to be louder than a K1, however intake choice will make a difference here too.
  7. I'd hang around for £5K. Hell, there's not much I won't do for £5K!
  8. To be fair, it could be gross misconduct. Certainly as an employer I would take a very dim view of it. If you're off sick with stress, then I'd be tempted to stay stressed right up until the end of your notice period. if they only give basic references then I wouldn't worry too much. I know I'm coming across as a bit harsh here dude, but I really am trying to be constructive for your sake as much as anything, I hope you're taking my advice the right way as I know how crap all this can be.
  9. Exactly. Excellent, excellent point sir. More to the point, that shows very poor management on their part. Why give something that important to someone who's leaving? It's just a massive risk they don't need to take, especially if you don't finish it before you leave. I would relax and not worry about it so much, as long as you are working 9-5 then there's very little they can do or expect. Are you relying on a good reference?
  10. On the other hand, Ricey signed a contract to work there and should fulfill it to the best of his abilities. Take the moral high ground, do the bare minimum amount of work and stay polite. Be the better human being, and be proud of that.
  11. I have serious doubts over this. It's one thing to create a great hot hatch (like Renault), it's another to create something that is just great at the Ring. Honda haven't done anything of note in terms of suspension or engine design in almost 10 years now, so they'd have to do something spectacular to make a car better than the current Megane RS. Even if it is quicker round the Ring, that may not necessarily make it a great car. The 918 has done a 6'57", which by all accounts is significantly quicker than the more powerful and lighter P1, but you just know that on a regular circuit the P1 will monster the 918. Not exactly apples with apples, I know, but being good at the Ring doesn't mean a massive amount other than bragging rights.
  12. The stand attachment referred to is otherwise known as a jack pad, and if you've got decent axle stands then you don't really need them.
  13. Completely unnecessary, don't worry about them
  14. Take the one you still have to a local metal fabricator and get them to replicate it.
  15. No way of checking much from that ad, you'd need to see the car in person and have a good drive. Never seen rain is bollocks.
  16. Hmm, well in that case they probably should mention it, however caveat emptor as always. Maybe they're not mentioning it on the ad, but doing so in person to try and get a sale quicker?
  17. Yes and no. They may not know themselves, and you should always HPI a car before buying anyway.
  18. The correct answer is, of course, to bin it as you are no longer 12 years old and at school, and to buy something with a single strap that goes over the shoulder. Notable exceptions to this rule include any sac designed to carry fluids for those marathons, or dressing up as a Ghostbuster with proton pack for parties.
  19. Stay at one of the Prem Inns, and use the official long stay parking. Close as anything.
