  1. Recipe you say... Okay, so you'll need: 1kg mince 1 huge bread loaf thing 10 rashers of streaky bacon 2 onions(one for the burger, one for the sauce) 2 tomatoes 1 lettuce 1 egg Bunch of gherkins Plastic cheese Some plain flour For the sauce: French dressing White vinegar Mayo Pickle (preferably the smooth stuff else you need a blender) Salt Sugar First, make the sauce. Grate one onion, add 200g mayo, 4 tbsp pickle, 4 tbsp dressing, 1tsp vinegar, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar. Mix the lot then cover and refrigerate for a few hours. Longer, the better, overnight would be ideal. Next, the roll. Just slice it into three, no butter needed. Now you can work out how big you need to make the burgers! Grab the mince and chuck it into a big mixing bowl, add one egg and seasoning to taste. Mix it with your hands (protip: remove rings first, I didn't but regretted it) and divide into two equal portions and flatten. Flour both sides to stop them falling apart then pop into a frying pan on a medium to low heat. They take about 15 - 20 mins to cook properly. Do not eat red mince! To flip the burgers, slide a plate on top then lift with a spatula, then turn the plate and slide the meat back in. You'll prob want to drain the fat a couple of times, maybe more if your meat isn't great quality. Pop the bacon in the grill and get that going, then start layering. Start with lettuce on the very lowest slice, followed by the plastic cheese, then slap on the sauce. Cover the cheese well, then add a diced onion. On the upper layer place more lettuce, then the gherkins, tomato and then finally the bacon when it's done. Now it's just a case of popping the burgers in when done, and making the tower up. Grab a pic of your epicness, then tuck in!
  2. Nowt more than a bit of seasoning, was toying with the idea of a splash of Worcester sauce or an oxo cube or two, but didn't want to overpower the sauce. In retrospect I should've done as the meat was a little bland otherwise, but it's a lesson I can learn for next time
  3. It was, yeah. Took me a while to find something in the cupboard suitable, I don't keep a lot of tinned stuff around these days, far too healthy for that. Although I guess the burger would tend to disprove that a bit.
  4. I upgraded my RAC membership to EU coverage when I went to Spa earlier this year. Seemed as good as anything else, really.
  5. You're kidding, shared between me and Jo and even then it was a struggle. Old fat Dan probably could've given it a go by himself though
  6. We were going to use the tiger loaf, but then Jo went to Ipswich and found the perfect round loaf so I switched them out last minute. Good eye sir

  8. With great difficulty! I had to break it down into a couple of layers to eat it, which kinda ruined the burgery-ness, but it was still amazeballs.
  9. BigMac special sauce instead, my friend Under the onions on the first layer.
  10. Lol, not keen then Jay?
  11. ...he gets proper hungry. I'll let the pictures do the talking. I don't even want to count the calories.
  12. It's odd, when you take the vinyl aside and look at it then it's definitely red, but on the car and in the sunlight it looks more orange. The lens on the iPhone makes it look worse than it actually is though. I could set the GoPro up...

  15. Cheers guys. I know it's not going to be to everyone's taste, but I'm pleased with the result. I do have some Martini Racing decals as well, but I'm not convinced they would work. At the moment it's one of those iconic racing colours that you either get straight away or just wonder what on earth I'm playing at, and I kinda like that! Very, very few people ever sticker up a modern cooking 911, so it's nothing if not a bit different. Am down at the PHSS next Sunday at Porsche Silverstone, so that'll be the real acid test to gauge opinion amongst fellow owners. I suspect they'll be aghast
  16. The race was perfect for me. Woke up at 6am, saw the pre-amble, watched the start, fell asleep for a bit during the boring part, woke up a couple of laps before the 1st safety car, had a shower & shave when the SC was out, finished just as the race started, sat down and watched it until the end. There really is no point watching the first half of the race any more, unless someone does something stupid. All the action is after the halfway point these days.
  17. I has been busy. Some bits were easier than I thought they would be (engine lid) and some more difficult (bonnet). All sorted now though, quite chuffed with the result really. Only cost me £60 in vinyl off eBay, too. Oh, and they were all separate stripes (1x red, 2x dark blue, 4x light blue) which made it all the more interesting trying to line them up!
  18. Swapped coil packs from the other side? Pulled the plugs to check for water ingress?

  20. I wave to anyone in anything awesome. I still wave to Zeds, Lotuseses, Caterhams, Imprezas, basically anything I've owned or am jealous of and want. Sometimes I miss waves from others, don't worry too much about it

  24. Ah wait, it was actually the name for the last gen hot Megane, wasn't it?
  25. Yeah, isn't that the name for Red Bull's car in 2030?
