  1. I’ve got Covid atm so am hitting that reverse sleeping pattern nicely
  2. Holy thread revival Batman! Yes, that’s the Moris I was referring to nine years ago.
  3. Good fun, ain’t they? Still love mine even though it’s ugly as sim (to my eyes), but I didn’t buy it for the looks. Get some RC5+ pads on there and it’ll stop like it should as well, and I can definitely recommend a smaller stubby gear knob to make the shift even better: that was a day one mod for me and I’ve never felt the need for any further improvement at all.
  4. That’s a bit of me. Still miss my old wildtrak.
  5. Not really, anywhere and everywhere but that amount should be fairly obvious. Think you’re really going to have to drain the oil and find out exactly how much is in there, as too much oil is just as bad not enough.
  6. Thicker oil won’t do you any good at all mate if it’s using that much, trust me if it’s as bad as you say it is then that’s terminal. Is it showing blue smoke as Alex mentioned?
  7. Ouch, that’s an expensive lesson to learn, sorry dude
  8. 1L every 100mi is pretty much the sign of a dead engine, I’d get a new engine sooner rather than later. That’s an horrendous amount of oil to be using.
  9. You’d think so, wouldn’t you? And yet that was the EXACT issue I suffered with for aaaaages on my old MR2 trackpig that took me forever to actually diagnose, hence mentioning it. Theoretically impossible I agree, but that was the cause. Drove me nuts! Fluids are weird things, hence why I got out of plumbing
  10. Potentially there’s a seal gone somewhere, in the calliper itself. You won’t notice fluid loss, but the fluid passes the seal upon application so you get an initial soft pedal until you get the compression. I’d suggest redoing the calliper piston seals as it’s cheap, along with the obvious fluid change and bleed procedure, see how you get on. That being said, if it only does it once a year then maybe just bleed it to fix it and consider it an annual maintenance job.
  11. Do yourself a huge favour and remove the clutch delay valve (CDV) as well Col, makes a massive improvement to the feel of the clutch. Very cheap and easy to do, transformed my 6er.
  12. What tyres are you planning on using in those sizes?
  13. I’d say the punishment is fair, but there’s next to chance of catching anyone doing it unless we put some tech in place to do it, and then everyone will caught doing everything. Plus it’s not like every person who uses a phone at the wheel crashes into a billion pieces. I used to do it all the time before it became illegal, never had an issue. I suspect that much like how some folks can multitask safely, others simply can’t. Not saying I disagree with the law, just offering a viewpoint.
  14. Ah come on, who hasn’t had a bottle of Bolly at the wheel? Or are you folks more of a Rémy Martin persuasion? On a more serious note, I suspect there’s far more people who roll a cig at the wheel than you might think.
  15. Good shout there Col, decent engine that wants to be revved which will make it interesting, but no M tax for parts!
  16. What’s the red car, far right centre near the edge of the photo, prominent black grill/lights combo? Can’t figure it out.
  17. Try the T3PA pedals, the brake is a billion times better. And the TH8A gear stick is a lovely piece of kit too And yes, this is an expensive hobby I couldn’t go back to regular game pads for racing games now though, with the exception of the Forza Horizon series. That def wants a pad, but everything else (you have to try the official F1 games) is infinitely better with a wheel. And tbh, any wheel.
  18. Tbh I’d be looking more at the T248 and then looking to get a replacement wheel for it at some point: purely gear driven force feedback is horrid, and the Thrustmaster belt & gear setup feels much more natural in use. Granted it’s not as pretty, but force feedback is everything with sim racing and wheels. Hell, even my trusty TX wheel is still good enough to not bother looking at anything else right now. Plus have you seen the awesome add ons for the TM range…
  19. End of an era. I still remember the first time I saw it, utterly amazing to think that that was up there orbiting the earth with actual people on board.
  20. I’d be worried about drift events on GT7: the physics in the game has never particularly felt comfortable with any time you lose traction, preferring instead to focus on ultimate feel in aims of having grip at all four corners. Does look very pretty but it’s a shame we won’t get a 4K/60 mode with RT on. Also I hate the licences and the fact that the fun 90’s specials are going to have overinflated prices just like real life Great to see Tsukuba back in a game though, I miss that from the hours I spent on GT4 back in the day!
  21. Jesus christ not this sidewall nonsense again
