  1. Do yourself a huge favour and remove the clutch delay valve (CDV) as well Col, makes a massive improvement to the feel of the clutch. Very cheap and easy to do, transformed my 6er.
  2. What tyres are you planning on using in those sizes?
  3. I’d say the punishment is fair, but there’s next to chance of catching anyone doing it unless we put some tech in place to do it, and then everyone will caught doing everything. Plus it’s not like every person who uses a phone at the wheel crashes into a billion pieces. I used to do it all the time before it became illegal, never had an issue. I suspect that much like how some folks can multitask safely, others simply can’t. Not saying I disagree with the law, just offering a viewpoint.
  4. Ah come on, who hasn’t had a bottle of Bolly at the wheel? Or are you folks more of a Rémy Martin persuasion? On a more serious note, I suspect there’s far more people who roll a cig at the wheel than you might think.
  5. Good shout there Col, decent engine that wants to be revved which will make it interesting, but no M tax for parts!
  6. What’s the red car, far right centre near the edge of the photo, prominent black grill/lights combo? Can’t figure it out.
  7. Try the T3PA pedals, the brake is a billion times better. And the TH8A gear stick is a lovely piece of kit too And yes, this is an expensive hobby I couldn’t go back to regular game pads for racing games now though, with the exception of the Forza Horizon series. That def wants a pad, but everything else (you have to try the official F1 games) is infinitely better with a wheel. And tbh, any wheel.
  8. Tbh I’d be looking more at the T248 and then looking to get a replacement wheel for it at some point: purely gear driven force feedback is horrid, and the Thrustmaster belt & gear setup feels much more natural in use. Granted it’s not as pretty, but force feedback is everything with sim racing and wheels. Hell, even my trusty TX wheel is still good enough to not bother looking at anything else right now. Plus have you seen the awesome add ons for the TM range…
  9. End of an era. I still remember the first time I saw it, utterly amazing to think that that was up there orbiting the earth with actual people on board.
  10. I’d be worried about drift events on GT7: the physics in the game has never particularly felt comfortable with any time you lose traction, preferring instead to focus on ultimate feel in aims of having grip at all four corners. Does look very pretty but it’s a shame we won’t get a 4K/60 mode with RT on. Also I hate the licences and the fact that the fun 90’s specials are going to have overinflated prices just like real life Great to see Tsukuba back in a game though, I miss that from the hours I spent on GT4 back in the day!
  11. Jesus christ not this sidewall nonsense again
  12. PS4 for me on my MX5. I’d go for PS4S on 19” or above though. A very real benefit to running PS4 is the incredible life you get out of them, so even if you couldn’t care less about the performance side then penny per mile they actually work out cheaper than any credible alternative. 20k miles out of a set of rears for me, and that’s on 10k miles a year 50% commute and 50% proper thrash. Can’t really complain at that at all
  13. Alternative to the PS4? There’s a couple, but they’re about the same price and arguably not quite as good. Anything else and, depending on driving style, you will notice a lack of grip & braking and tbh for what the difference actually is to those I’m not sure I’d bother. Unless you’re planning on moving to silly budget tyres for the purpose of the car actively moving around underneath you, I can’t say it’s worth the drop.
  14. Bargain, and I bet that’s a lovely barge
  15. Funny how people always don’t want to spend money on the things that they interact with every single time they’re in the car. Never really understood that.
  16. Not great, to say the least. Bettered by pretty much anything other than dirt cheap budget tyres tbh. The 888R are good, but they’re a trackday tyre.
  17. Two things: - Do you need the money? -Are you going to buy another fun car with the money? No point selling if you’re swapping as the price of everything else has gone up as well, but if you need it for a house purchase or similar then yes, sell. A 370 is a fun car, but it’s not an investment.
  18. Doubt it, I’d also expect premiums to rise across the board next year to make up for the losses suffered sadly. Think my MX5 was 30% cheaper this year which wasn’t too bad at all, and I didn’t even bother shopping around at that price either.
  19. Bearing in mind everyone’s renewal price should drop this year as insurance companies are no longer allowed to give better rates to new customers than existing ones. I did wonder why Go Compare’s latest TV ad seemed a bit odd, but this new rule has essentially made them a bit redundant!
  20. I’m pretty happy where I am tbh. There’s nothing engine wise that I’ve not driven, from a v-twin to a v12, so I don’t have any bucket list to tick off. As long as it has a combustion engine of some kind, I’ll drive one until it’s no longer financially viable to do so.
  21. $2500 for one of those, no thanks!
