  1. You should be driving straight away after starting it up anyway. If the car feels sluggish then either you’re trying to rev the nuts off it before it’s ready, there’s something wrong or it’s all in your head. That said, it’s not obnoxious nor is it an unreasonable time. Did you have any issues with this neighbour prior to the car? You say no, but it’s odd that this has set him right off.
  2. They’re really good as well, I’ve tried them on a 997.1 and they were easy a match for the OEM on my 997.2. Totally rebuildable to your own specs too.
  3. I love how you are so specific about the 911 Targa (weird choice btw, why?!), but just say Exige when there’s about 3854 derivatives 😂
  4. That car, that colour. The pinnacle of the analogue supercar.
  5. How have I been negative? My point was that there’s nothing to choose from between anything rated as SUL, which from any way you look at it is proven by the results as we’re talking single digit percentage points across one test, hardly conclusive that any fuel is better than another. Yes it’s interesting, but nothing more. Certainly there’s nothing in there to make anyone drive out of their way to buy anything other than whichever one is closest/cheapest, even if they were going for ultimate power. Way too many variables to still consider. Carry the same test out on multiple cars, taking fuel from various locations at varying levels on freshness, across multiple dynos (including engine ones) and I’d be happy to change my viewpoint. It’s not about being negative, it’s about being reasonable and open minded. You appear to have latched onto one thing and believe that as gospel regardless. I’m saying look at it a bit deeper than a headline, and you’ll learn a lot more.
  6. You’re right, chasing tiny horsepower is pointless, hence why I always say do tyres and brakes first as I’m sure you know. My point was more it makes chuff all difference which fuel you use, as long as it’s EN rated. Which you’ve also proven for me 👍
  7. So maybe 3% then? Woooooo
  8. So there’s a 1% difference between the Tesco and the BP? Well within scientific margin of error. As I’ve said before, as long as it meets the EN spec for super unleaded, it makes bugger all difference what you put in.
  9. £15 a day vs 90p a day for me personally, so definitely! Better than smoking? TBD
  10. Maybe one day someone will post something that hasn’t been utterly butchered, so me and my #grumpyfamcrew have something to be positive about
  11. That would explain the bonnet then, but bumper to wings looks off as well?
  12. Didn’t mean literal polishing, more like it needs a good tidy up 👍 I’m guessing the wrap matches better in person than the pics?
  13. Cripes, that need a fair bit of polishing up to look decent doesn’t it?! Also, and this might be my eyes, but that front tyre looks like it needs a good dollop of air in
  14. More than I’d want to think about: if you can see enough rust to be worried about, then they’re MUCH more you can’t see. I’d walk at that point, there lots of cars out there.
  15. Same for any 350 now, rust will be the killer but also checking for general health (smoking on start up, good gearbox, working electrical etc). We’re now at the stage where you buy on condition, not mileage.
  16. If it’s just for the MOT, pop some OEM ones on then put your test pipes back afterwards?
  17. Not any more, think the old days of expensive insurance or not being able to read OBD (although it is still trickier) are behind us. Parts are interchangeable so no worries there, but I would make sure you’re paying less for an import than a UK car like for like
  18. If there’s ever a way, Veilside will find it. They’re the JDM Mansory.
  19. Wouldn’t even bother looking at it with no MOT. Decent spec though.
  20. Crash on track, it won’t be covered. Crash on the road, you will be. It’s protecting them from people binning it on track, then dragging the car to the local roads and claiming an accident.
  21. Ekona

    R8 would you?

Developing world won’t be able to afford synthetic fuel either. EVs will only be enforced on the developed world by big companies, there will always be another company to sort out demand for the ROW.
  22. Is that Wine Red or BBQ/Smokehouse Burst? I’m an LP man through and through now, I really want a goldtop but with a 60s neck which is proving very tricky to find.
