100k miles has been absolutely fine for any car produced in the last 20 years, excluding the very exotic. Brits seem to get paranoid at that number for no reason whatsoever.

Cos that’s what always happens when you claim a total loss, there’s nothing left to insure so the policy is cancelled with no refund or you have to pay up the remaining instalments. Standard stuff.

Let someone who will actually use it buy it? The mapping and the condition of the overall car, including service history since the install, is far more important than worrying about an out of date s/c.

They can't even sell the Renault-favoured A110 in enough quantity to make it sustainable, so I doubt anyone from Renault said that at all. Besides, why would they say it's definitely not coming and then back track? Far better to say they're looking at it and keep interest up rather than have a potential buyer give up and buy another car.

An E46 is a great car, no doubt, but the E92 is even better. Gives you that incredible V8 as well, the likes of which we'll never see again.

As good as they might be, I couldn’t buy one for the money people are asking. Not for FWD. I mean, we’re hitting the down curve of petrol cars and there’s better ways to enjoy the end of an era than in something so relatively straightforward IMHO.

After my VXR I went for something that was the polar opposite, so I wouldn’t spend all my time comparing it and wishing I hadn’t swapped. That car was the 350Z, so it was FR not MR, NA not turbo, heavy not light etc. Not sure if that helps you or not, I’ll try and think of some options
