  1. Ditto, I have a similar noise at approx 85mph when cruising in light throttle load ( on my 200 mile long private roads).
  2. Put your hand a little deeper in your pocket and get the Chilli Red for sale on this very forum. It's a stunning colour and a great example of a looked after Z. It is only a little over your budget but red is rare and you will have a wonderful car.
  3. I eyed up the braided brake hoses but with a bill well over 1K already it was easier to resist!
  4. So I sat in the corner at ESR while Phil's good workers added some nice EBC rear disks and some very nice KW Variant 1 suspension. Already I`m loving that new car suspension feel a much better driving experience without any harshness. Can't wait for the weekend and some remote twisty road testing That sig of mine is getting a bit long! More money spent PS Phil, No ginger creams this time. Shame.
  5. 1. sake-bito Standard UK set. 2. M350ZB Standard UK show plate single 3. keithdw Standard UK set. 4. chris'I Standard UK set + standard UK show plate set 5. Toon Chris - Standard UK set.
  6. When you consider the price of a new exhaust can be half the cost of the Haltech with only a nice noise and no power gain, it brings an ECU into a tempting price territory. If you get a smooth running car then there may be quite a number of us jumping in the bandwagon By the way, did you ever try the car on the base map? Even that seems to give good gains (nice torque gain!) and saves money on a custom map? Sorry if that is a dumb question, I`m new to the ECU idea
  7. Had a similar problem with white gloss specks on my Red Alfa once. It is horrifying, yet all of the specks pinged off if picked with a nail. Obviously I didn't have time to do that, but a good wash every few days for a few weeks and they came off anyway as they don't stick to wax too well.
  8. Why do you want one? Don't you have one already? Looks like a scratch on the front of the flip door too unless its a photo artefact.
  9. OK grumpy, what would you call it? Errhh sunset? Pumpkin, tangerine. Anyway, it looks like the "sunset" Zed in question has fairly low mileage. Rusty Ginger ?
  10. http://www.cracked.com/article_16304_20 ... ented.html Number one's absolute genius. The fact that I got it makes me feel dirty I`d be interested to know if anyone else does... Oh, and no I can't explain it to you if you don't get it, sorry!
  11. That's the drive foam party, not the neighbours faces
  12. Hull? Chilly? Having lived there for 10 years I can say now that you should not be using the heated seats yet. As my granny used to say, when it gets really cold you just won't feel the benefit As the others have said, it sound broken somehow. When working properly the seat feels like you have wet yourself. Yes I know that doesn't sound as good as it should...
  13. If you had purchased £1,000 of Northern Rock shares one year ago it would now be worth: £4.95 If you had purchased £1,000 of HBOS shares, earlier this week your £1,000 would now have been worth: £16.50 £1,000 invested in XL Leisure would now be worth less than a fiver. However, if you bought £1,000 worth of Tennents Lager one year ago, drank it all, then took the empty cans to an aluminium re-cycling plant, you would now get: £214 My investment advice is to drink heavily.
  14. Really terrible thing to happen.
  15. If £80 makes your pips squeak then give up now! Personally, the spacer for power, the exhaust for looks and sound, followed by the pop-charger for extra sound (and throttle response). You missed one item from your list, some uprated brake pads
  16. You do realise that they guy who re-trims leather lives over the road from you don't you... Well it's worth knocking on the door just in case
  17. You can use synthetic but if you do you must flush the system out entirely first. This is worthwhile anyway to get all of the crud out of it. Turns out DOT is an American rating anyway . Personally, if it was me, I`d use 5.1 synthetic and 2 litre for a good flush through. You will probably never need the higher boiling point of 5.1 and will probably have plenty of fluid left over, but it doesn't cost significantly more so what the hell... If you feel short of cash you can use a litre of Nissan fluid - oh hang on, I bet that costs the same
  18. The Nissan maintenance schedule shows a brake fluid change every 24 months. Any decent DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluid will do. I`m not sure how DOT translates to American standards but basically they are Glycol based fluids - do NOT use silicone based fluids for general road use (and that is standard rule for most cars).
  19. They do split as well. Mine did just where the dissappear from the wiper into the car, although fitting new ones is quite cheap and easy.
  20. 6'2 for me and no problems. We are quite a tall lot aren't we Some seem 'larger' than others though
