  1. I can't say I noticed any problems yesterday, there are a lot of shell garages on the route but also plenty of BP when you get nearer to the A14 so if you can get to, say, Newark, you shoudl be fine. Tons of non-shell around there. Do you really have shortages in the Lakes?
  2. One has appeared in my works car park which only holds about 50 cars, but the guy blanked me the other day. I`d like to card him just for the hell of it - where do you get them from
  3. It's called V Power these days Pops !
  4. I don't like Tesco fuel because of the ethanol. Firstly they ship it on from across the world, so it isn't as 'green' as they try to make out. Secondly, ethanol dislikes the seals on you car so prolonged use *may* cause seal damage.
  5. For low cost - a stubby aerial For performance - a plenum spacer For amazing sound - a new exhaust For slightly improved sound, a saving on paper filters and better throttle response - a intake change. Money no object? - change the suspension as that will transform the car.
  6. Ooh, there is always one that has to show off
  7. Me too! Only one mod gives you more power - a plenum spacer. All the rest just look and sound nice, until you get to turbo/supercharger/new ecu territory.
  8. Yesh, I gave her 10 points extra because she looked cute
  9. RAYS were not part of the GT pack They were a £1000 extra.... See, I know nothing but the bit about the Nismo wheels being 'mods' is unfortunately true.
  10. It may be a GT but it doesn't have Rays alloys on it. I don't think the non-Gt standard alloys are 18" but someone will clarify that I`m sure. It's got no mats either. Apart from that, if it's a high miler then it may be worth a look
  11. Horrid! I feel hideously claustrophobic all of a sudden. Can't... breath...
  12. A Skoda Octavia. Ok, now you have stopped laughing they are actually reasonably well made now. You can get a 1.9TDi in better condition than you would any more popular car, you could have an estate, and you wont care if you scratch it so much A big plus is that getting back into the Z will be sooooo good
  13. A flash and a wave from a very attractive young lady Actually I think that is the first time that another 360Z driver has acknowledged a wave/flash, so thanks
  14. That colour is sooo cool You will have seen my blue butt disappear over the horizon
  15. You were going in to see the bike racing. You may have seen my blue butt going into the air museum car park
  16. Chris, seeing your comment here, is the reason insurance companies classify my nismo kit as a mod because although I am buying direct from Nissan, it doesn't actually leave the factory with the kit on!? Am a little confused! As far as I know, yes. If the car had been supplied with those nice Nismo wheels from new then no problem, but if you add them on later they don't much care where you bought them from they 'make the car more desirable' and so more of a risk.
  17. Good luck mate, I really mean it. A chilli red was exactly what I wanted 6 months ago - and I live in Newcastle too! I would have bitten your hand off and half the arm with it! You have a good colour so I reckon that keeps the price up above the GMs (sorry guys). I hope it goes to someone local for my sake so I can wave to them and keep an eye on it for you
  18. Phil scores on my bank account even when on holiday A P3 with new plugs is enough money but I took the opportunity to have a Y-pipe fitted to match up with the 5zigen, and a plenum spacer for good luck. Some dimpled EBC front disks were also strapped on. The brakes are much firmer and although they are still bedding in a bit, the stopping power now seems to be what I would expect with the DS2500 pads. Those old disks must have been pretty knacked. The Y pipe is a *must* with the 5zigen. The loud drone at 2.5k revs (just where you sit the revs if you are pootling around) has now gone. Well actually it is still there when you floor it, it has just mellowed away for the part-throttle which is just what you want. Tone has really improved all round. The spacer seems to have given much better torque. At last, a mod that really works Mid-range torque is noticeably effective but the nicest thing is that everything now seems so effortless with the car just gliding around and purring, but put your foot down and wahayyy!!! Instant Fun! One puzzling thing is that when really pushing hard there is an odd, faint whistling coming from somewhere. It's not bad, actually it sounds quite good, but I can't work out where it is coming from. Anyone with any of my mods got something similar? It could be more flow through the Y, the pop-charger or the plenum - I just can't tell ! As usual the service and quality of work was excellent and once again a glowing recommendation for ESR.
  19. Ah, you have to be quick around here when posting Oh, and
  20. Nothing is a mod if it comes as factory standard fit. Your Rays are part of the GT pack so you are safe. HOWEVER, buy insurance with the option to add mods later without getting ripped off as it is very tempting to put some nice little mods on
