  1. Like the breath of a tramp with TB, warm and a little stale with an odd sicky smell. Off topic but oddly enough that's the same complaint about the hot air dryers in our works' loo's.
  2. Mine used to do it if left in hot sunshine all day. Then it stopped for a few years, then it started again. PITA but then it went again ...
  3. If you want to future-proof then when you buy the switch why not look into a POE version. Also consider some connection points high up in corners if you intend to fit internal security cameras, or even routing a few cables outside to external connectors for external security cameras (handy for seeing who is at the door on your TV without getting off your bum ). If you do put some cabling outside you will need a switch you can configure to isolate the physical connections so no-one can plug into your network externally - if you are paranoid that is.
  4. Possibly trying to get away from that soft rock you were playing as quickly as possible
  5. Thats one of the hardest to read ads ever. A solid block of capital letters is not the best way to present the information.
  6. I also think Rav4. Petrol rather than diesel. My wife has a 2nd edition in 3 door and its fab car to own and drive, but definable not too large. Your dogs will have plenty of headroom rather than be crammed into an estate. NWZ - would love to get the door to open fully but can't find any reference to this - can you point me in the right direction? I'd love to be able to transport more stuff in there but can't get it past the half-open boot door!
  7. Chatter and indeed noise whilst driving up to 2k revs is normal and you get used to it. Bouncy revs? Spray the throttle butterfly liberally with carb cleaner, leave for 20 mins then spray again. If it looks really claggy then agitate the pipe (not the butterfly) with a soft toothbrush or similar. You may need to do the ECU and idle rev reset procedure afterwards as if the throttle was dirty your idle will be much too high now. Once reset you will have a smooth tickover again. If not, nothing lost except a little time and a tenner for the spray
  8. Alarm systems do very worrying things when the car battery is on it's way out. Check the battery is healthy. You can also reset everything by removing the car battery for a while. 30 minutes should be enough.
  9. Available here. Get all my stuff from this site. If you register you can build up points for discounts on future purchases. http://www.cleanyour.../prod_1361.html Interesting description "... we offer a variety of methods to remove decontamination from the surface" But damn you all now I have to buy one too
  10. RS Tuning in Leeds is under 2 hours drive away
  11. +1 on getting the diff mount replaced too. It's a bit more of a pain as you gave to chew the old one out but that said it's easy to access so just a matter of a little time. It really tightens the transmission up. In my case my car had done a fair few miles and the difference was night and day.
  12. Haha Off topic but that misses the point of the @ you know?
  13. Car and Bike magic did an outstanding job for me, but true that was a few years back now. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Car-Bike-Magic/529504360399270
  14. I'm with Sky and it didn't affect my premium the following year. Or rather my premium didn't go up.
  15. Well, no. You don't get something for nothing. To get more power you have to burn more fuel and air. The point of breathing mods is to allow more air to be crammed in and exhaust gasses let out per piston cycle, meaning more fuel can be burnt, hence more power. If an engine is not burning all its fuel and your mods improve the efficiency of the burn then that would get you more power for the same fuel, but modern engines use feedback loops to keep the fuel ratio right all the time. There is some fiddling around the edges of the figures you can argue but basically to get more power you need to burn more fuel.
  16. Nononononono, buy some tyres that are the right width, although that said the wheels seem to be out past the lip of the arch which isn't good (or legal possibly) either.
  17. I had a bee in my aircon radiator yesterday. Looks like it had been having a good go at stinging it in it's last struggles - does that count?
  18. Say it in a South African voice and you will work out the punchline
  19. God that miserable twonk? Always moaning, overly aggressive and doesn't even like cars - certainly knows sod all about them. That other fella Guy Martin would be good as at least he knows about car oily bits. I stopped watching TG some time ago as it was a lads mag in 3D but was hopeful it might get refreshed with a new line up. Jodie would be ok
  20. The first vertical lift is shockingly quick. That thing needs a camera on it,would like to see the POV movie!
