  1. As soon as my car left the allignment place when I had it done, it instantly felt better, noticably more precise and just felt more planted and direct. I know a lot of others had the same feeling when they had theirs done, so dont be put off by any vague feeling, I do beleive there will be something at the cause of it, and its not just how the car is. My car tramlines quite a bit, but does not drift, although it will follow the camber of the road slightly if allowed. Keep working at it, if you go methodically, you'll work out what it is and be happy when its solved
  2. One of the best places then. MLR must have a mahoooosive stand then this year to get moved, not sure where too, maybe they have a field of their own For those that have never been, its a very good place to have the stand, very prominant and close to the track and entrance to the track Oh and you wont be able to miss it when you come in the gate, its right by the entrance.
  3. Out of my depth when it comes to specific suspension/steering components I'm afraid, but it does seem to logically point that way. ZMANALEX would be a good person to PM. You seem to have gone through things logically, so I'm sure he can quickly help you through diagnosing the problem with your garage
  4. Sounds to me like its pulling to the left rather than drifting to the left. As you suggest above, even when the road cambers off to the right, the car goes straight ahead and not towards the right hand side of the road, which suggests it is fighting the camber. If you have had allignment done on a hunter system, it would point to something being either worn or the allignment wasnt done right. Did they do a full geometry check or just the basics? As I found on my car that it pulled slightly to the left (not as bad as yours), and it was the rear wheels that werent straight, they both pointed off to the left. If your allignment guys thought the rear was straight and true (as can quite often happen), and they alligned the fronts off that, then the tracking will be straight, but the car wont be, if that makes sense? They base the "trueness" or straightness off the rear wheels and assume they are dead straight, if they are not, it can cause your problems I think. If all was done right in the allignement, then some suspension or steering parts may be worn. In that case, its best to wait for someone like ZMANALEX or Abbey to comment, as they will know more.
  5. yup, they forgot to activate it, and exactly the same that happened here!! lol I thought the merc one was a set up, it didnt work in the fog or something, so they cheated and set it up so the driver would hit the brakes when he hit a small piece of wood indicating to brake, but he didnt get the timing right
  6. +1 Is there any sound deadening in the head liner Dan? If not that might explain why even if you sound deaden the boot and doors, the cabin is still pretty noisy with wind noise!
  7. Just have to keep wiggling it. They can be quite hard to get off the spline if they are tight, as Alex says, you need to get the right angle.
  8. I was thinking the same about that evo No chance of catching them Yup, you just have to hope you catch them off boost
  9. Evo Looks good for a tenna, we should be seeing some good vids from Wales
  10. +1 had mine this morning too Meeting will be at the Premiere Inn at 7am I think, the details were a bit further back in the thread. Will wait for Mart to confirm thats still the plan before I tell my +1 how early she has to get up
  11. Just give up
  12. Wouldnt expect anything less Dan
  13. I beg to differ Dont look like the UK OEM ones, maybe they were an option? Also someone needs their handbrake adjusting
  14. Dont worry, the doctors will have given him his meds by now
  15. Dont even bother trying to get through to senior management, they wont care. 1 person is what as a percentage of total UK sales for Nissan? Diddly squat! They dont care what you think, you've already bought the car. Best you can do is ask around for good garages and get the stuff you need doing at a good inderpendant and save a ton on not going to the dealer. Thats how you hurt Nissan now, dont give them any more business
  16. Get your flame suit on if you are entering my350z
  17. As you are planning to do Y-pipe and HFCs, hold off on the reflash until then
  18. Damn, shame I'm missing that, would have loved to have met him.
  19. I think the thing you will struggle with trying to space the stock Brembos out is getting a disc that has the right size contact patch to match the pads. As the discs get bigger, the expected pads/contact patch are bigger too, unless you flook it and find some discs with the right PCD and contact area to suit. I think you will be struggling though. As Bennet suggest, cut your losses and get a BBK from K-sport if you want them for looks. If you want them for performance, personally I'd stick with the Brembos and get some decent discs and pads.
  20. Fitted was £1,700 My new clutch and fly cost ~£800 inc fitting from CS on here. Although you have had a pants experience in general with Nissan, I hope you have learnt the importance of signing up to owners clubs
  21. Doesnt happen in first or third at similar speeds or revs? Its an odd one for sure. Maybe check all the clips on the intake pipe are secure, as I know if air can get in after the MAF sensor that can cause funny things to happen.
  22. Yeah I know what you mean Nix, it is a PITA at times. Not a lot we can do about it though, just have to hope members dont abuse it.
  23. Of lime funnily enough Andy is a good lad, he'll sort you out some stuff. Just be careful, it all adds up when you have a "while I'm here" moment.
