  1. Do you use Weesex or is there another recommended garage? Yeh I use Wessex. I did look for a good nissan/jap car specialist garage in the area, but there just isnt any unfortunately. Even though they are a main dealer, they do a good job and prices for servicing are good too I have also used Howards Nissan in Weston Super mare and they are really good too. If you are still against going to a dealer there is a place in Newport called Ninja Tune Factory..ive seen a couple of guys on here recommend them.
  2. I live in Bristol too ...plenty of others around this area too if you need any advice.
  3. Literally did this 2 days ago! Used 2 x 1p each side and now the boot lid works properly. Although I did try putting 4 x 1p each side...but couldnt get the rubber bit back on properly(kept flying off) .....must be a technique to it or I have spazzy hands
  4. Thanks dude, ill PM them. yeh I thought Jap ones are like UK ones on the back, but discovered mine has no connection in connector 4.
  5. Would you consider selling the 4 in good condition separately?
  6. Im possibly interested depending on price?
  7. Just bought an FM band expander off eBay. Removed the dash fine to get to the back of the Bose head unit I have, fitted the aerial connections fine. But im now stumped as to where to put the red wire which needs a 12V power source for the FM band expander to work. Im not technical at all, so any help would be greatly appreciated? Ive uploaded a pic of the back of a head unit below. If someone could point out where I should be putting it? Currently its shoved into a spare hole in the connector labelled Number 1. Also am i right in thinking that I can plug a "PA15-NIS iPod/Auxiliary input adaptor" into the connector labelled 4 to run an ipod off the Bose unit http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=701
  8. I would like to change Bose unit as my is still skipping on a daily basis now and it isnt even that cold, which i dont get. If I change the head unit for a double din, does anyone know whether I will lose the UK sat nav completely or just the sound?? If its the sound I dont mind as the sat nav women is annoying but i just want to keep the sat nav working and hav a functional working head unit with Radio, CD, iPod connection.
  9. http://www.wedodigital.co.uk/product/2075/meos--7-lcd-double-din-multimedia-console-dvd-bluetooth/meos-mc702b/ Found this Double DIN unit online and it seems to have everything I want. I just wondered if anyone knows whether it will be compatible with the Bose speakers in my JDM?? Also on a separate note, I converted my JDM Sat nav to a UK Sat Nav last year by replacing the DVD unit with an UK Xtrail One . I understand it only works with the Bose head unit, is this correct? What were to happen if I changed the JDM Bose to a Double DIN, would the Sat nav not work at all or would it work but no sound would come out the speakers? and can I make the sound work through an aftermarket head unit if this is the case. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.
  10. Im 22 years old and had my zed for 1 year now and still loving it
  11. major bummer... may have to go back to the drawing board on this one then
  12. Oh thought the BOSE head units werent specific to a car?? or if i bought the UK head unit with the code would this suffice? Arent the subwoofer/amp etc exactly the same in UK as they are in JDM? Ive looked into aftermarket head units but, this means I would lose the functionality of my JDM sat nav screen (i converted it a while back to a UK sat nav) as it only works off a 305z Bose head unit. Ill PM Lee again to see what he's got and can offer me.
