  1. Basically it needs to have the equivellant of E-mark for pads, to prove scientifically that they will behave near as damit the same as OEM pads. IMO these are far superior to OEM pads and wouldnt worry about it.
  2. Wow blast from the past! Thats a pretty good retro bike you have there I think you should be looking at a 1k budget to get something good to replace it if you want full sus and second hand tbh. It will feel much better and less bobby. Dont be put off by going for something with SLX or even Deore compared to your XT as things have moved on a lot in recent years
  3. Great idea. Very good point, I most people on here must be tax payers so we can claim Gift Aid back
  4. Last time I got business cards done I left the business about a week after they were delivered

    Hydrogen

And how exactly do we go around making all these solar panels? Do you know the amount of CO2 that would produce? You cant win, we will destroy the planet, so we may as well have fun now
  6. Let us know when you press the accelerator and end up in a hedge And dont try blaming "oil/diesel/other contaminant" on the road as many others do I ran my 350z with falken on the rear and Pzero Rosso on the front and coming from Pzero Rosso all round it was f'in twitchy in all but the driest conditions. Falkens all round seemingly reduced the grip all round but balanced the car up so it was at least not as rear end happy as it was.
  7. Random Orbit (aka Dual Action) means that it doesnt spin in circles like a normal rotary polsher (or sander), instead it makes a more random pattern as it spins. This means that it doenst have a hot spot in the middle like a pure rotary. The ER1700P appears to be a standard (albeit lightweight) rotary sander. What you want in the RO/DA polisher, although not sure of its weight compared to others I know for a fact that the Kestrel is a DA sander. It is rebranded by Dodo as their "Buff Daddy". From what I've seen, the Megs is no different (read: it is different of course, but of the same ilk)
  8. Why dont you name the certain moderator? If you name me you will be incorrect I for one though does know who moved it originally. Aint no fool can shout louder than Admin
  9. You'll probably find knackered Stones and Ditchfinders are about on par with each other so actually its quite balanced. How you drive in the wet though I do not know
  10. At the end of the day, all DA polishers are just random orbit sanders. The Kestrel I have even has instructions as such in the box! Just look up the specs of something like the Kestral DAS6 and match them with a Sealey. You might find they are more noisy or have more vibrations, but should be ok I think. First one Googling "Sealey random orbit sander" - tada! - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealey-DAS150T- ... B000ROD3OO
  11. Pfff what kind of boat is that, it should self right This is how to launch a boat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy5AoHc8A7s
  12. Can you run them - yes Should you run them - no Knowing you are running different tyres front and rear is *ok* but not the best idea. Just means you have to be careful in the wet as the car wont have neutral handling and you might stick it in a hedge/ditch/lamp post/rounderbout (delete as appropriate). Only you know if its worth the risk
  13. Boat in water? Check. Dont see nothing wrong with that, boat in water, boat is floating, nowt wrong with it
  14. From my experience of doing my tan seats black with similar stuff it doesn't hold up long on the bolsters That's why I ended up with Recaros. I have the leather seats in the loft still!
  15. No they don't. Sure I saw it on the options last time I just signed up. I think it has to be less than a 10% power increase, but you are pretty safe with an NA tune on the Zed, it wont ever give you more than about 20HP.
  16. Yeah why not, put me down for one of each
  17. You wont notice the ~20WHP it gives by a butt dyno at all. The sound is more than enough to make up for the cost though! Its well proven in the States that it does give ~20WHP on the dyno though. I fitted Gen3 intakes and exhaust to mine, and while it does seem more keen than before, I couldnt say how much HP its added. Will find out at some point when I get it UpRev'd though.
  18. Before you go and order new discs and pads, see if L&G will skim the disc for you. Agree that if it is the runout then you will pay for it (I would push to have it done at cost) and if it doesnt fix it then its up to them to find the solution. I agree with Mike in that it is likely to be fresh fluid and braided lines that is highlighting this fact, and if they beleive that this is the case, they should do the skimming for you if there is enough meat left on the disc. Nothing for them to loose if that is the real cause as you will pay for it, and if its not then they cant hide behind it
  19. Totally agree. I'm slightly bias as I have a Nilfisk and absolutely love it as it was so much cheaper than the comparitive Karcher. Did anyone notice that he stood abour 20ft away from the cars etc when spraying? Of course the washers arent going to work at that distance, the nozzle are designed to be much closer. The ones that did best did so as they turned the pressure right down so it was coming out like a hose, not at high pressure as it should be. Also the other nozzle for the Nilfisk is for cleaning patios and has way more pressure than the standard nozzle, it will take paint off the car, yet as he held it 5ft from the elephant, funnily enough it had no pressure by then! Its a spinning BB type nozzle which is designed to be at most 6" from the floor!
  20. Sssshhhhh! I can confirm he does ride his bike up there - f'in mountain goat he is
  21. You might get your wish at some point if we upgrade the software as we are looking at.
