You have your uses now and again sir

Reversing cams can be fitted to MY09 cars, just not easily. I forget the name of the company in the States, but they make an AUX in adapter which allows you to run backup cam - just dont get the lines. MY10 can get the harness from the States which is dead easy to fit and a lot cheaper than its likely to cost from Nissan on the MY11

Almost,.......... wrong side of the pond. Could have gone on a little adventure

Sat Nav = Connect Premium if the car is an MY10+. MY09 has sat nav but not connect premium. Connect premium replaced standard sat nav for MY10 onwards and added touchscreen, HDD jukebox and better ipod connectivity to the satnav unit. In MY11+ cars, they have added reversing camera to the Connect Premium bundle as an option I think (it may be included in the price, dont know havent seen the prices). Confusingly, there is both GT pack (upgrade on standard model) and now GT Edition for 2011 which is a special offer which includes smoke wheels like the Black Edition and some sticker down the side. Ultimate (yellow) and GT Edition are the two that can come with stickers. Dont think you will see any GT Editions on Autotrader yet as they are a MY11 car I think and not release yet.

2 main models as with the 350z - base and GT pack. GT pack adds leather seats, better stereo and cruise (as with the 350z). Connect Premium is the upgraded entertainment system which adds touch screen nav and better ipod integration and HDD "jukebox" (can rip CDs to MP3s upto 10GB). Ultimate was the first MY09 offer where you get a fully loaded 370z (nav, illumiated kick plates, etc) all included in the price and available in yellow with or without stickerage. 40th/Black Edition was the MY10 special which came with special red interior, callipers, dark wheels and limited numbers (370 for the whole of Europe) GT Edition is the MY11 special edition which comes with revised suspension for the UK, better sound deadening underneath and a sticker down the side. Think that covers it

Just had my first 370z service at WLMG in Slough (after many happy 350z services). I got the first 2 for free with the 370z, so dropped the car off this morning. They ran me over to work in a Qashqai as the GTRs were all blocked in (BOOOOO!) and dropped the car off this afternoon having been serviced and cleaned (forgot to tell them not to clean it as I usually do - whoops ). They even approved of my mods and want all 370z's to come with Stillen exhausts -
Definately improves the car - and if you aint paying - then its win win!

Again, not when you think about it When coasting, the engine has to keep itself idling/spinning which means it uses a certain amount of fuel to keep the engine, flywheel and other running gear turning. When keeping it in gear and under no load, road speed is spinning the engine, and the ECU knows this, so it cuts all but the bare minimum of fuel from the engine (infact I think these days it does actually cut all fuel) meaning it uses next to sod all if any fuel until you put the engine under load again. Been like that for a good few years now EDIT: Hang on think I might have misread that. Are you talking about coasting in gear vs out of gear or constantly coming to stop and starting again vs slowly crawling all the way?
-
Because as the car sees it, the milage you have done for the current fuel usage is on average dropping. All it does is divide the number of miles you have done by the petrol you have used, use petrol without going anywhere and the average will drop

Halfords kits are crap. Paints4u.com have a good match, I ordered some for my 370z and the match is spot on - not bad for a colour not yet on the database. That plus LANGKA blob eliminator does the same job as the above. Dr Color Chip is more for road rash where the paint is literally littered in small chips and you smear the paint over the area rather than touching it in. I beleive they use special thinner paint for this.

A sad day indeed Dave but a long time coming. I hope now you are now happier with less responsiblity and can enjoy this place more. Remember where the Report button is if you need any to be done. Ban requests from Honorary Z Members get fast tracked

Amazed at the amount of people missing that -
If you are looking to remove swirls, you need a DA at the very least. You wont remove swirls by hand unless you are Popeye, the best you can do is hide them. You really cant go wrong with a DA. As Daryl (and his helpful link) say, start with the lowest cut (read finishing pad and non abrasive polish) and work your way up. As you learn more, you will know instinctively which pad/polish to use to get rid of swirls of differing degrees. Main thing is to start with applying glazes or other LSPs such as Dodo Lime Prime which have no or a little bit of cut, then you cant do any damage. When you are happy with how to use the DA, you can then try proper polishes and working up through pad types (finish pad, light cut pad, polish pad if required). You are removing tiny amounts of paint at any given time, its rotarys ability to quickly eat paint that is scary, but this isnt a problem with DAs.

Why do people assume that rear seats add a lot of weight? In my experience, they way next to nothing in percentage terms of the whole car. The simple fact is that the Zed is made mainly of steel to save costs and where it shows is in the weight department. The 370z uses more alu, I think the doors are all alu now, but it still hasnt seemed to save much weight due to how much of the stuff they have to use for crash protection and stiffening in general.

Theres a few outfits out and about in Basingstoke area - he flys for Cameron Ballons - chap by the name of Kerry. I'd imagine you bumped into the chap that runs Adventure Balloons instead. I think he lives over Hartley Witney way, I know their base is over that way. You'd certainly know Kerry if you'd met him!

Depending on how much you ride, the M520 will suffice and a lot cheaper Cant go wrong with M540 either though. Have you ridden clipless before? If not make sure you wind the tension right back (instructions inc with pedals) and practice A LOT before ridding properly on them. You need to build muscle memory so your feet unclip before you even realise you need to -
Hey hey hey - nothing wrong with ciggy lighter expanders .... in a landrover! My mate has loads as he flys commercial hot air balloons and needs to charge loads of stuff all the time like GPS, multiple radios, laptops, cameras etc.

Design and cost. As Husky says - to make something as good handling as the Zed means it has to be stiff - to be stiff and light you need to use good engineering and good materials which comes at a cost. Or you can brace the shat out of it with steel and it will be stiff, but no longer light. They have made it stiff *enough* and light *enough* for the price point, to get better you need to look at spending more money

That wont do owt, either get a Megs/Dodo/Kestrel or dont bother

I think that means you end up with a sh***y brown colour This can be done. Not sure we can do rainbow name colours though - might look into that
