  1. IIRC the BCM does control all of them, and they are expensive - unless Husky can fix it
  2. I think this is going to get confusing. I beleive that before, 7AT coupe & roadster were band L, 6MT roadster was band M (only just mind). I seem to remember reading that for MY11+ they fiddled with the ECU to bring all cars back into band L. There certainly used to be a split for 6MT roadster being in a different class, so the DVLA may be right.
  3. I took it easy for about a 10th of that When I picked mine up from an HPC their GTR Tech said to get the oil warm then build up the revs over a few increasing runs. Worst thing you can apparently do is to sit at the same revs and part throttle a lot with a new engine. That can be worse than anything that can happen giving it a good ragging when warm. Main thing to watch is the tyres and brakes. They both need a bit of bedding in before you can fully lean on them, and IMO this is why they impose these running in periods - purely to stop people ragging a car they dont know and trying to nail it on the manufacturer. My car has now done 15k miles, hasnt missed a beat and hasnt used any real amount of oil.
  4. My battery lasted just over 6 years, so they can go for a while. I thought this was going to be another "bye bye" thread
  5. Heated and electric folding so will be a dog to change. Easier to just get used to it.
  6. I thought about that, but it only works when arming the alarm, so I dont think it will aid any wannabe theives Just to clarify, to disable it, make sure the car is ready to be locked as normal, press the button behind the passenger seat, the alarm/immobiliser symbol (red car with key) on the dash will flash quickly, get out and lock as normal (key or handle button). The car will lock as normal and emmit one beep to indicate it worked
  7. Dont get me started with off shore resources and guys from overseas. There are a few that are geniunely very good, but 99% are just crap. But the bean counters just see that they are cheap and they can get 10x over there for the same as my day rate. However they chrun out @*!# and I'm left to sort it all out, costing them far more than if they'd just had a few onshore guys do it. Fortunately I now work in a fully onshore team so dont have any of this crap.
  8. This. I used to build PCs but you spend all your time doing their support and also you can get much better spec'd PCs from people like Dell with onsite warranties for a lot less now. The money in IT is in consulting. Anyone who has been one or knows one will know this Builders, developers, support all get paid pish unless you do something niche which you can then charge more money for.
  9. So the beam benders work on the Zed? Going to France tomorrow and do have a set, but was only going to fit if I found myself out in the dark - which I dont plan on doing!
  10. Guess you might notice on autobahn speeds, but at <70MPH I guess it doesnt make any difference. Wonder why Nissan just didnt supply them as standard and they'd have saved a few quid
  11. Personally I'd probably put something a bit better than the Falkens on a 370z. I had them on my 350z and while great tyres for the money, I think the 370z deserves something a little better. Vred or better will be going on mine when it needs them depending on how flush I feel at the time.
  12. Yes. Its different to the 350z though. It has much larger rubber air deflectors on the lip of the bumper and also directly in front of the front wheels. I find its the one by the wheels that catches the most, but no more than my 350z used to catch things. TBH compared to a "normal" car it catches more, but compared to other sports cars its no different really. You do have to crawl over everything but thats not the end of the world. And its better than catching the actual bumper Be interested to see the high speed handling results of removing it Scotty
  13. Sorry guv didnt see it was locked. Oops done it again
  14. Dont connect it direct to the battery You want to tap into the wires that come from the ciggy lighter in the passenger footwell
  15. Locked - didnt think that would hang about
  16. Think its band M, but the prices have gone up this year I guess.
  17. I'm only a shorty at 5'6" but it fits fine for me. I have more trouble with the missus Alfa which has reach adjustment, which even when all the way out it too far away from me. It also doesnt go low enough. Being short though I suit Jap cars
  18. That does somewhat depend on what they are trying to sell you. No point sending a pic of a GTR to perspective Note owners
  19. I really should have taken mine off before I px'd the car, even though it was damaged it would be worth a few hundred quid now!
  20. /Off to throw my car down a hill backwards to see what happens Seem to remember reading some literature that hill start was only on the manual cars. I guess us 7AT drivers are assumed to be able to press the throttle whilst also pressing the brake and relase it at the appropirate time (ie no need for foot switching like a manual).
