  1. O really? i shall go and have a butchers have a search for my threwad on here about plenum spacers, think it will only throw the one result, has links to all items mentioned, and i think it has 3 nipples for about 3 gauges, or it might be 2
  2. adam at z1auto does a plenum spacer with built in valves ready for fitting gauges onto. might even work for tapping the plenum.
  3. talking of mini concepts i really like their mini coupe concept that should be coming out in the next 18 months, shame its FWD
  4. had a look but couldn't find the zed badge, it may yet turn up but i'm not hopeful. on a possibly more positive note i do have one of these going spare it may or may not be to your liking, but it should cover the gap where the original zed was. let me know if your interested.
  5. saw your FTO at modified live snetterton this year, looked very good, was really impressed with it, looked great in the flesh. If R35LEE or P15ULT or Zmanalex doesn't have one try some of the online car breakers there are a couple of nissan specific ones, if you can't find any let me know and i'll post up links.
  6. there is your answer there, unknowns and federals, you've got mixed axles, low tread, wet weather and you let off mid corner; a lovely concoction for mayhem might also be worth checking tyre pressure alround, should be 35psi alround if they are out it can have an adverse affect as well. also if the hnadling has thrown you slightly might be worth getting the geometry checked out and have it setup again, shouldn't cost more than about £60 but well worth it. once you learn to use it to itsw full potential its a very rewarding drive. i'd take it steady at the moment with the snow regardless of what tyres your own you'll be wanting to go steady. if its really icy i'd suggest going a gear higher to reduce your torque available save the rear coming out without warning. welcome to the club
  7. insurance companies always send you out your new cover letter for the policy when it starts, as long as you have that it is proof that the policy was started. should be enough to cover your backside. but glad you didn't have to test it.
  8. if i remember rightly when i last did it ages ago i think its at about step 7 it will give you a continuos sequence of flashing lights. and it will repeat the sequence indefinatly untill you switch off the ignition. you'll know when you get to that point. might be worth putting a shout out for someone local who might have an OBDII reader. i have one now but i'm a long way off.
  9. have you got acess to an OBDII reader, might be someone local with one. might be worth finding out first. or do the engine reset, if gives you the code that way. it might be nothing and just needs the codes reset.
  10. hospital stint means i'm limping in now.
  11. better to rest for a few weeks now than cause long term problems. believe me i wish i had put more into my physio work 5 years ago. i'm back with the speacilists for the 4th time, i now have abnormal bone growth in my knee and arthritis in my knees. i have a severe heal spur in my right foot and regulalry suffer from a limp depending on how hard i push things. i'm 27 and i miss so many things. i'm trying to get sorted to play rugby again but my phsyio-terrorist thinks i'm crazy another 3 weeks resting is better than 20 years of constant pain.
  12. nothing to say she won't pop early, they tend to have a mind of their own, its like forcasting snow, you'll get close but it might just come early
  13. you do know its for the 2007+ engine thought you had a pre facelift as you went for the othe rengine cover earlier
  14. standard car paint will withstand the heat, just use a good primer and laquer and it should be fine. if its aluminium use an ally primer.
  15. if its the mesh your refering to, i'd just change the mesh for something thats already been powder coated.
  16. errrrr...... no nice one, take load sof pics, am a tad bit envious
  17. woo hoo! bonus, something extra i have that i didn't know. always wondered how the mirrors cleared so quickly last winter
  18. i didn't know they were heated how do they come on, is it when you put the rear de mister on, or is there a button. if there is a button where is it cos i ain't seen it
  19. in zed terms think of it as a blade surrounded by ebisu's
  20. surrounded by a selection of our darker skinned brothers.
  21. i'd get an early s1 elise or exige, or vx220, pick them up for peanuts these days for what they are. early S1 had the k series engine but it was a lot more bullet proof in the lighter cars than when it was in land rovers. they did go, but it was down to cheap gaskets. rover saved a few quid per car by using cheap gaskets which blew out over time. i think hangar 111 sell new upgraded gaskets and once fitted i've been told no one who has them ever has a problem with them blowing. if you get one and they don't have the uprated gaskets i'd do it when you buy it as it would be cheaper. if you wait for it to blow you'll have to have the head re skimmed and your looking at about £500 ish for the job. Vx's don't have that problem, don't know a huge amount about them but speak to ekona as he had the turbo version or some of the other lads and they'lll know of any issues with those. if you want to do an engine converison i know a very good man who'll drop what ever you like in the back of an elise, he race tunes and preps elises for the elise cup. or as mentioned things like the caterham are great fun
  22. if there are some second hand berks going, i'd get them.
  23. direct from that website Driving on the motorway 259 Joining the motorway. When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway. You should * give priority to traffic already on the motorway * check the traffic on the motorway and match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane * not cross solid white lines that separate lanes or use the hard shoulder * stay on the slip road if it continues as an extra lane on the motorway * remain in the left-hand lane long enough to adjust to the speed of traffic before considering overtaking
