will be going to see abbey motorsport and get my standard ecu remapped. they been doing them recently with good results. just trying to get all the mods on first to make the most of it when i do it

check ebay regualrly they seem to pop up all the time on there.

i'd personally avoid any cat c or cat d's they are harder to sell on after and aren't worth as much. might loose more on the out. i bought my 06 in 2008 for £15,000 with 13,000 miles on it. had it a year now and i reckon i'd probably get at least that and now it has 23,000 on the clock. if not more.

HFC's haven't made a massive difference to noise on mine. its different and a bit louder, but it hasn't been mental. but the pickup is definatly better. i put them on for performance before a remap. will try and sort a vid soon for you.

just get your insurers to deal with it. but if you can choose the garage to do the work might be worth speaking to CS and see if he can do it. that way they might give the option to not use OEM parts. some bodyshops on insurance jobs won't do aftermarket parts and will only do like for like. or are you doing this out side of the insurers?

if you can get an envy original kit for the £1000 that they are currently offering its a good deal over half price on the usual. Riks kit is about £600 ish, but with the original it will just need spraying and will fit straight on. in this particular case what you'd save buying a replica you'd loose in extra time at the bodyshop making it a perfect. with the original it would literally be a paint and on job no tweeks needed. nothing wrong with riks kit, i have his side skirts and as a replica kit its not bad value for money. but it will never equal an original kit. either option will come to roughly the same price, so might as well go for the original

Good work chaps, never really understood why they only did the facelift grille probably someone with a facelift asked them, they used their car, no one else with a pre facelift thought about asking them?

good effort on the arch work, most impressive. i've just put a wing on mine, if i get home in daylight hours i'll try and take a pic of the car, otherwise it will have to wait till the weekend. maybe something like the nismo v2 spoiler would balance it. not quite as big as something like the veilside V3 spoiler. but enough to balance the rear out. i think the ings low mounted carbon wing would do nicely, but they aren't cheap.

might need a new battery, i'm wondering if the cross connection has shorted out some of the electronics and the BCM (as stated above) theortically the fuses should blow and stop any damage from over loads.

if there is enough interest then i'm sure zunsport would put a pre facelift version into action. they would possibly need a donar car briefly for the dimensions to make a jig, and then it should be all go. RAWBHP if your in contact with them it might be worth mentioning there is more interest and seeing if you can get them to do a group buy. might give them the incentive to do it and you guys a discount.

most of the cars have increased in value, if your hoping for a recession bargin then your about 12 months too late. people are feeling safer and more stable and not panic selling. you'll find a bargin out there but they aren't so easy to come by now.

if your going to do that you'd be better off getting a custom built zunsport grill but get them to nylon coat it black. should be a tidier finish.

god that thing was a mix of things, did all the work myself including repairing the kit and spraying it myself. was a TRD front lip skirts and rear bumper, with TTE rear inserts. i modded the front bumper with custom fogs, and fitted DAMD headlight eyebrows. had facelift side vents but i modded them by cutting the cheap plastic out and fitting with stainless mesh. had a TRD header with custom built H&S twin exhaust and apexi dry cone filter. it sounded amazing, frickin awesome in the tunnels. was about 98db. with the roof down and full tilt a lot more. and possibly contributed to my partial deafness now but it was so worth it

Is that how much mesh costs....... seems pricey.... wasn't your average mesh zun sport would supply woven stainless stell mesh which was then nylon coated in black (could have it stainless for less) for longevity. i got honey comb powder caoted cut stainless mesh. cost about £20

not sold on that to be honest.
