    Zed badges?

might also try likwid art, we used them on the roadster he made replicas of badges and other things as well. quality was very good and offered something different to standard. careful though as he is good at getting you to spend a lot of money. i ran the group buy on MR2 roc, so if people we interested in stuff i could start up something new for the Z http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic. ... 10&start=0
  3. one of the lads on the MR2ROC got what can be compared to as an ASBO for going a little sideways (apparently) on a roundabout. and for having a noisey car. i think he was banned from driving through certain parts of town after a certain time. have to check with Ekona, as he knows stu well. but the situation was very laughable. and we got him an ASBO T-shirt for meets.
  4. my mates a model, and she's not bad looking if i do say so myself, but i've only been married a week and i think my missus might have something to say if she catches me taking pics of my mate with not a lot on. and my missus won't volunteer instead, and if she did i don't think i would be allowed to share them
  5. would love michlins but at 150 a corner, i'm not sure the budget will stretch that far
  6. +1 for wizards of NOS, i believe they are one of the market leaders, and have been featured on things like 5th gear and top gear.
  7. sorry thats what i meant by ECU, either a replacement or a piggy back, my fault for not being more detailed
  8. yep its got bridgestones on, all round, think they are the original tyres from new, done nearly 14,000, got roughly 5 mm tread at the rear. need to go and measure tonight. had them on the 2, they're ok, but i want to get a set of falken 452's. might have to do rear first then the fronts. i know its important not to mix tyres across the axle, i'm guessing its the same as the 2 that you probably all reccommend to have same brands all round. if so it looks like i need to give Camskills a ring. just on the off chance anyone know how much he charges for a full set. black circles look about £97 a corner unfitted, £115 fitted.
  9. as ekona said its horses for courses, and you need to work out which pony you want. but a rough guideline is turbo = boost to acceleration once pressure has built up (bigger the turbo the more the lag) super charger = more progressive boost throughout the range but not as much as a turbo can give NOS = can be done several ways as a sudden boost button to give a temporary kick, or a smaller progressive kick (when switched on it puts in less but over a longer period) i don't think you can run it permanently on a slow trickle, its a bit of all or nothing. other option is to rework the engine, ECU, new internals port and polsih etc. will be completely NA but you'll need to spend alot of money to get the kind of power gains that super chargers and turbos give. my advice is go to a couple of meets where people have cars already modded, get them to give you a passenger ride out, see what you like most. you may find that you would prefer something else. my guess is you'll probably want to go turbo. it gives you that NOS style kick once the Turbo kicks in. you'll just need to work out how big a turbo you want?
  10. Welcome along, i loved the FTO as well, nearly bought one but got my old MR2 instead at the time. have met up with some of the FTOOC lot on an old meet and used to peruse the forum when i was contemplating the FTO.
  11. welcome NOS is good, i'm fairly new to the car, but like other cars, rule of thumb is that when increasing power, you should budget for a new performance clutch, never assume that the original will cope with an extra 50BHP etc. you may find it will be fine, but it will wear out quicker. i maqy be wrong, so if someone with more knowledge on the car wants to correct me please do good luck with the plans
  12. Not sure about modding yet, there might be one or two little things but nothing on the scale i was on with the MR2. might add a pop charger, better tyres, new gear knob, not much more. as from what people say most power mods are negligable on the Z as the ECU cancels them out. so i can't see the point in spending thousands for 1 or 2 bhp. and to be honest its a pretty good car as standard.
  13. Thanks guys, seems ok so far on the normal RON stuff, but then i don't know what they used to feed it and if it still has some remanents of the old fuel still in. but from the brief milage i'v done its been ok. and yep they brought it all the way from harrowgate and took my 2 cars away all for £50. will hopefully get some pics up soon. seem to get home in the dark from work so will have to possibly wait till the weekend.
  14. Cheers guys, and yes JAE 2007 was very muddy, we left early on the sunday just before the torrential downpour and flooding
  15. Just like the good old days. was only asking as i went to BP this evening was running very low, and the had run out of ultimate. so put just £15 of normal juice in. will have to go looking for the premium stuff, ibelieve there is a shell garage on my way home. will try there.
  16. Have been reading my way through as much info as possible, so i don't end up asking the silly questions and get told to use the search function. but i can't find out if it really matters if you don't feed the 350z on premium fuel.
