  1. I have to disagree. Having worked with both, I find the Hexis is much better, at least when it comes to the CF vinyl. Plus the Hexis stuff is more flexible then the 3M, which is better for wrapping interiors with complex shapes. Hexis > 3M all day +2 i started with 3m stuff and moved away from it and on to hexis as the quality was far better. if 3m stuff was better i'd be selling that instead.
  2. sorry to see it didn't fully work out, in the last few pics it looked like you weren't far off. as BM said its a 2 man job, and only peel a little at a time as you fit it. if i remember rightly we stuck the front edge on the front wind screen and then worked back from there. peeling from underneath as we went.
  3. it frustrates me when bose gets such a bad image. bose build brilliant systems, so why do they allow people to put their name to stuff. i don't know if many know, but the zed sound system is just a re-badged clarion system. i'm not slamming your install as it looks fantastic, some excellent kit gone in and i bet the sound is fantastic. i just wish bose would stop sticking their name on other peoples stuff.
  4. should be fine easy check though, at a stand still, stick the car in 3rd, give it some revs and see if it pulls away, it will be a bit juddery, but you'll be able to tell if there is any slipping. other test is to drive at about 40 mph in 3rd or 4th gear, and then pop it in to 6th and floor it at the same time. if its all good the needle should drop and the car slowly creep back up to speed. if its bad the rev needle will shoot up.
  5. do you remember that game where you had to control a scrambler bike up mental inclines etc. just by accelerating and moving the body forward and backward. well watching that was like the real life version of that game. must admit it was quiet mesmerizing watching it. music went well with it.
  6. i used to run the pioneer f500bt unit in my cubby and ran the aerial behind the cubby. never had an issue
  7. the 309 bhp ones were a vastly different engine, something like 80% different.
  8. 2nd hand rays regardless of condition aren't worth more than £600 and thats the most i'd pay for newly refurbed and with tyres with decent tread on. regardless of the ridiculous price nissan may have charged originally.
  9. have to disagree, an exhaust like the invidia q300 true dual was suprisingly quiet, the scorpion is pretty quiet. just don't get a K1 or something of that design its an ear bleeder
  10. if your sticking NA 300 is do'able but imho your better to put the money FI, the amount you end up spending to get to 300 you only need a bit more to go FI. but if this is your chosen route then this would be my list Plenum spacer decats motordyne XYZ pipe with straight pipe. (has an interchangable cat for MOT) decent exhaust 06+ airbox decent panel filter remap from someone like RStuning, abbey, or horsham
  11. Dont worry, Dave is just joking about i think the correct term you're looking for is fishing

  14. if i ever appear in court, i'm employing you; not because you've got a legal background, but just because it would be fun watching you tear both the other barrister and the judge a new one
  15. what you really want to put on it is this
  16. Am I missing something? The S2000 is about the same as a Zed (there or there abouts) isn't it? Group 19/20 insurance, Honda parts prices (Nissanish?), Service interval pretty similar, MPG pretty similar, needs to be thrashed for it to move? I've used an RX8 (same horrible thrashy torqueless style) for motorway cruising mate......soul destroying lack of torque. If you want thrills and economy your seriously restricted - dare I say it.....Audi TT. s2000 doesn't feel as gutless as the RX8, higher insurance than the zed, but i could get 35 mpg out of the s2k on a long drive. and being able to take the roof down just adds to the fun factor, which is why it is so much better than the rx8. as for parts i never had to buy any as it never broke, unlike my zed, which always seemed to have niggles.
  17. i've used millers fuel additives; have also used their brake fluids and oils, always been happy, if you want an additive to add try the BG44K stuff for engine cleaning
  18. no harm in boosting the 95 ron stuff to get you to the next petrol station etc.
  19. but those are all nismo options from the dealer, coul djust be a car spec'd up with all nismo dealership extras. the nismo built ones had extra nismo suspension; geo parts, and i think the engine had been played with inc the ECU
  20. agreed +1000 S2000 was possibly one of the best cars I've owned to date, smiles per miles value excellent
  21. Apparently there is usually a beardy bloke on his drive polishing his Jag every weekend too thats why the premiums are so low, no one messes around on my street , they think i'm a pimp or something
  22. i can do you a piece of satin 1.3 metres x 1 metre for £35 ex P+P, thats more than enough to do the centre and arm rests and some spare, to allow you for practices/mistakes etc.
