the zeds a GT cruiser its not s sports car, i'm sorry i'm with dan; a true sports car is a 2 seater convertible with RWD. the definition "sports car" does not make it top of the performance tree its just a term to describe 2 seater convertible rwd cars. Zed is still a performance car as are lots of others but unless its a vert rwd 2 seater its not a sports car and yes i drive a luxo-barge
  3. £50 to £60 is about right, i used to sell them a while back, but they took so long for someone to need them i don't stock them any more.

its running fine now on all 8 and the SC is finely running Sweet to be honest i couldn't give a monkies about 0-60 its nice to quote numbers in the pub, but as ekona says the mid range shove is glorious

my jag apparently does it in 4.5 seconds i dread to think how quick some of the twin turbo'd zeds and GTRs on this forum do it. as they are epic.
  6. all depends on what your looking for, if your number chasing i'd do other mods first; if your just looking to improve the responsiveness of the car then get it done. but if pennies are a bit tight this month i wouldn't rush into it. especially if you're going to drive it through the winter. i'd get through that first then see what the banks like after Christmas. it will definitely have a positive effect on the car, but its never going to turn it in to a snarling beast. FI is the only thing to do that.
  7. i'm not 100% sure why they're playing with that bolt as it looks to only be a pivot point? and shouldn't affect the ability to adjust camber and castor i could be wrong and the photo deceptive, but thats just my honest opinion.
  8. we have loads of c0cks on the roundabouts near us as well
  9. i would say a low heat of about 100 - 150 degree Celsius for about 10 minutes. i've not done it but i know it works, that would be my rough estimate on temp and time. might get away with 200 degrees but i'd keep an eye on it.
  10. i like funky architecture and sculptures. makes a place interesting.
  11. pop the light unit in the oven it will reactivate the glue and make it soft, then take out and give a good push around the seams and it should re seal the unit. but only do it once the moisture is out.
  12. B&Q door draft excluder or try eBay
  13. i know that round about its just outside haverhill; always thought it was a bit crap to be honest; like they forgot to put good foundations in. we have this in ipswich i really like it; been here since before i moved this way, don't know how much it cost; but it makes me smile this on the other hand i have no idea but we also have

And there you have it, my exact thoughts. Toyota should stick to Prius'. Their heyday as a car manufacturer who made sports cars ended in the 90's. 2006 actually thats when they stopped production of their last sports car the mr2 roadster

take the 2ZZ engine out of the celica and drop it in a mk3 mr2 then you have fast. strap a turbo on it as well then you have FAST.
  16. i personally have never been a number chaser, when i had my zed i went for sound and good engineering principals. but there was a large demand for people who wanted post 06+ airboxes; but they were not easy to come by and fetched a premium when they did come up. this mod was designed to offer people an option as close to the 06+ box as possible while also keeping costs sensible. people have 5 options really when it comes to their air intake: 1. leave it alone and keep it completely standard 2. fit the Velocity stack mod to their DE box 3. buy a post 06+ air box 4. go for noise and put an aftermarket CAI on 5. sod chasing 1 or 2 ponies and go buy an FI setup and get decent BHP numbers what i would say is that the VS mod on its on will make marginal difference. add in a decent panel filter and get it remapped and then your looking at better setup. i can provide Apexi panel filters for people i have 3 left and was looking at doing a discount for xmas on them, but if people are interested i can bring that forward. there are also other filter options but just make sure you don't sacrifice filtration to gain air flow.
  17. people forget with the 350Z that air filters have very little effect on performance, and to be honest thats the same with most mods. the difference between the worst and best performing filtration method is no more than about 7 bhp. and the only way you would notice that is on a graph on a dyno. the only mod that will make the car really feel any difference in performance is a remap. and this is what this mod is designed for. its for people looking to make the absolute top numbers when they have a remap. and if getting the top bhp number is important then this is the only way according to abbey motorsport; who reccommend the 06+ airbox as the best option for highest numbers. but in real term feeling i think the only thing people will notice is that the VS will give smoother throttle responce. your not going to suddenly get a huge kick in the back.
  18. of course its been updated. you alos missed the update on lane choices for dual carriageways and motorways. apparently on a dual carriage way you pull out to the right and stay there regardless of if your overtaking or not. and on a motorway the optimal lane to sit in is the middle lane and people can then over and undertake around you.
  19. i believe Abbey motorsport are currently testing one. i believe they ran one when doing a 95 ron petrol remap and the results at the moment apparently showed a smoother throttle responce. Abbey want to try it on a car with a full remap on normal fuel to check the differences properly. as soon as i know the full facts i will post them up.
  20. yes you can splice in the steering wheel control but if it works or not is a 50/50.
  21. i have someone coming to quote for the work on saturday, but i won't be there now. i wanted to see the paper work before making any decisions. i want to know how "free" free is. is it free panels but i have to pay for the installation etc and other bits needed, or is all the parts and work free as well?
  22. i think i might have a small amount of iron on vinyl left at home, so might even be able to do a papa smurf logo for you to iron on FOC

lets hope scoobies version of it will have a turbo version. my guess is there will be other models released with power upgrades. i would expect subaru to do a turbo'd version at some point or even a 4wd version maybe.
  24. i think its time to make like a tree and leaf.

depends on how heavy it is in comparison to the zed. 1280Kg nearly 400kg lighter than the zed zed = 173 bhp per ton FT86 = 154 bhp and i'm guessing if its using the boxer engine then its going to be turbo'd which means getting it up to 300 bhp is going to be a piece of pi$$ and cost very little in comparison to getting the same kind of gain out of the zed. probably looking at £500-£600 to get 50-60 bhp out of the ft86. double that and a bit more to get it an extra 100 bhp over stock. its basically an impreza engine, so what ever you can do to tune the nuts off one of those then you can do the same to this toyota.
