    GTR Body kit

its not like people are sticking the GTR badge all over it. agreed if the GTR didn't exsist then the front of that is really nice and works well also agreed that because the GTR exsists it spoils it for this bumper on the zed. but i also think it makes it look like a nissan family grille. like peugeots all have the same nose etc.
  2. Z4M for me too would pick that over the 370z every time. drove one a while back great car great fun.
  3. actually you only have 276 and the newer ones were 296
  4. they all make not a lot of difference in the grand scheme of things. depends on what you want. if you want noise or performance. i did mine for noise but choice the apexi filter to mod it with because i wanted the best filtration as well. if you want noise, i'd be really tempted with something like this http://www.prmracing.com/ its big on the S2000 scene, brilliant noise. but just like the JWT it will suffer an amount of heat soak. but to be honest that can be said of most filters for the zed. i think only the ARC and the K&N typhoon kit come in eclosed boxes. if you want performance then possibly looking at post 06 air box and panel filters apparently gives maximum numbers possible for the car.
  5. they do top notch work down there, and really good materials.
  6. noise + sensible price and JWT is a decent name, just not over here; as far as i'm aware its big in the states on the zed scene. i used a typhoon kit from K&N but modified it to take an apexi filter. the build quality was crap, and i don't like K&N's oiled filter. but it was a seal unit of sorts. and easy to mod. others use AEM and nismo amongst others.
  7. got it last night and played a few hours before going to bed. only played the campaign as i don't like to play the multiplayer until i've completed the story first. i'm a bit sad like that
  8. i have catia V5 knocking around somewhere. not sure i should lend it out being that its a £70,000 piece of software. i used to train people how to use it but that was donkies ago, haven't used it in a long time as it wouldn't run on windows 7 or vista
  9. well its day 7 of movember and here is my mo update not bad in 7 days if i do say so myself right you cheeky gits, i look like a muppet so you lot need to start sponsoring if i get over £1000 i said i would dye it blue and wear it for another 2 weeks into december. i will also be getting people in my workplace and facebook to donate hopefully. http://mobro.co/richardthompson i'm currently trailing in the donation department so some help from you guys would be much appreciated, even if it is just a quid or 2 much appreciated
  10. Isn't it what the forums for? Asking questions and getting help regardless of experience/difficulty of what you're doing? Next time I'll keep quite and not participate on the forum then I guess true and I agree that is what the forum is for, but does a how many pads to stick a numberplate really needed to be asked, not even on a difficulty scale that one is it not better to be safe then sorry? i'd rather have a student ask a silly question but do a job right, than not ask and fudge it up. although along with that principal i also have another saying.... ask a silly question, get a silly answer. (i'll still help someone though, might just mock them first)
  11. its a driving aid and should be treated as such and not relied upon. same as satnav. I have satnav its great.but i know where i'm going already and usually use it for the traffic updates and re routes or the last few miles to a place i don;t know or navigating a city i've never been too. but i know when i'm right and its wrong and ignore it when i want to. unlike the numpties who follow satnav on to train tracks and off cliffs etc. i don't currently have parking sensors for my xkr, but i have bought a hidden kit to avoid the bumper acne. i can park perfectly fine in a space with out them, all i need it for is judging the last few inches when i know there is an obstacle. as the jag is the size of a barge, and at home i have to finish near a wall. i also only ever reverse into spaces as its far easier to judge the distance as it always looks closer than it actually is. i find nose in first far harder with my enourmous bonnet to go nose first. i can still do it i just know what i prefer

less suspension movement and stiffer springs in a proper performance set will help you go quicker round the corners on track. you have less body roll and keep more planted. but its only good if its a decent kit and set up properly. I have CATS suspension on my car which stiffens up on the corners under most pressure to keep the car balanced; which means i keep nice a flat and level but it adjusts for how fast i'm trying to do it. so if i'm taking it steady its nice and soft, and if i'm going hard its a lot stiffer.
  13. i'm not saying don't mod; i adjust all my cars i've owned, some for the better and some for the worse. and agree its all about making it personally. but i think there are cars to chase power figures in and cars to play with asthetics. with modernish cars like the zed i'd only look at major power mods on FI cars as they are the only ones to show major improvement for minamal outlay. for me the zed was about improving sound and looks with a mild performance twist.
  14. i think you'll struggle to get £8k at the moment, with it heading rapidly in to winter you'll struggle to get top money as people don't want a performance car in winter. i've seen 2005 reg cars go for £7.5k and they been good condition ones.
  15. they are summer tyres, i have had falkens on several cars through the winter and they've faired ok, but no where near as good as a set of winter tyres. the difference is like night and day. if your swapping just to protect your expenisve alloys then fair enough, but if you want to swap them so you can drive it in any weather with confidence then proper winter tyres with a winter tread and compound is required. i believe rarerims was doing a good deal on yokahama winter tyres on the forum recently.
  16. sweat is corrosive over time on leather. but it being on the top would suggest not your hands being responsible. possibly something spilt on it, or you've had something on your hands that the leather doesn't like.
  17. speak to rob direct at likwid art, i don;t have anything to do with this anymore. i just set it up origianlly. any alterations need to go to rob, for him to say yay or nay on.
  18. is if you put winter tyres on them before swapping over.
  19. in the new year hopefully. had to get the workshop in to a posisition where i can spray effeciently in any temp.
  20. there was a TV test a while ago on different methods of car cleaning and actually the automated car washes wasn't that bad to the car. the worst was the self clean places if you used the brush attatchment as people used to leave them on the floor in the grit. the auto ones aren;t that damaging the worst was people with spounges as a one off i doubt she'll have done much if any damage. and never use the people car washes as they don't clean their cleaning rags etc.
