gliptone liquid leather, alot of other leather care products don't actually penetrate the surface, and just sit on top. that stuff gets right in.

what you're missing the point of is that most of these looters are kids...yes they might be dirty scrotty thieving scumbag kids....but still kids. they haven't been that confrontational, but more opportunist. i.e. no police around they go in and nick what they can do damage etc. like a game to them, then as soon as the police arrive, they scatter, and move to another police free area to loot and burn. its the dirty scum element of the uk underbelly, kids on school holidays from these areas. and it has nothing what so ever to do with the duggan shooting, or the crap that people are spouting about a disillusioned youth. its the scum element trying to nick as much as they can. its not a political revolution so no need for the troops, the police can do this if given the powers and the protection and tools to get the job done. bring out the water cannons from belfast, bring in a curfew, read them the riot act, then go in with bean bag and baton rounds. kids think they are untouchable, i think its time to show them they aren't.

the armed forces are short of numbers; can we use them to clear mine fields and find IED's? tell them theres a shoe locker with no staff and security on the other side of the field and watch them clear the mines. there's £20 in that hole if you pull that wire. boom. means we don't risk decent hard working valuable armed forces personel, and should slowly reduce the numbers of leeches in the UK,

they are saying alot of the rioters are 13, 14 years old, its kids, its the age group i teach, and i can see that complete disregard for authority. maybe bring in cutting off the hands of thiefs and branding the foreheads of them so everyone knows they are scum.

the video footage is making me feel so proud of our current youth population ... NOT

Rich..i very much doubt she pays tax..we are the taxpayers!..she is probably on income benefits together with her mum or whatever. We pay for their lifestyles.. i don't disagree but it just goes to show it has nothing to do with the shooting on thursday.

just catching sky news now, its kids coming out of curries digital, one person was asked why they were doing it and it sounded like ateenage girl and her response was "i'm getting my taxes back ain't I" wow

Thinks it already gone over the edge really, on the grand scheme of things its still fairly small fry. police have still got a grip on things, rioting is now in isolated pockets,

can't we just shift them all up to scotland? thats what hadrians wall was for, keeping the riff raff out that and 24 hours with some glaswegians would have them begging for a prision sentence or even limb amputation; anything that would get them back on a serious note, if they go in to heavy handed they could inflame it more, the police are walking a tightrope at the moment and one wrong move could push the while situation over the edge. the armed forces don't need guns, they have a shed load of riot gear as well. if it gets worse i can see a curfew coming in, an increase in police horses, and proper 1980's style policing skills using roman legion battle techniques.

Hopefully this info should benefit the East Anglian members, As some of you maybe aware, i use Team AFM for all my mechanical/servicing/fitting/bodykits/painting needs, they have been my one stop shop for the last 3 cars, and the 3 years i've been in suffolk. i trust them implicitly with my cars and they have never let me down. They build and race cars from here, including touring cars, and they also do work for hangar 111 the lotus people among other things. Their motorsport section is run out of their accident repair centre IARC http://www.ipswichaccidentrepaircentre.co.uk/. i hadn't realised that they also do 4 wheel laser alignment, as last time i needed it i had to go all the way down to london. well i was booked in for 10.30 am their mechanic took me and my car out to assess the Geo in a live format, then got it back in and on the ramps and checked all my bushes and suspension for me before they carried out the work to make sure i didn't need it twice, i.e. have it done, then the bushes fail and have to replace the bushes and then have the geo redone. got a clean bill of health and then they got on with the work. i was chatting with the mechanic he was explaining all the bits, how they do the checks, and how to make the adjustments. really friendly place. work took about 2 hours in total and then a final roadtest before handing it back to me. top service as normal and the price was great to. they charge for 2 hours labour for the work, and then if the car needs more work, or their are complications etc you get charged by the hour. mine took the 2 hours and the bill was £70, was very happy with that as i've paid nearly double else where and not had any of the checks etc done before hand. top service and top blokes, and if you want race tuition as well, Rick Kerry the boss there also does that, down at woodbridge, also got the number of a good leather restorer as well. so all round top day

I wouldn't normally post this kind of thing, but as the company i went to showed such good knowledge and did a top job i thought it was worth recommending. Now this will be more appropriate for people with split rims, as normal wheels are fairly straight forward. I went to http://www.autofitipswich.co.uk/ I rang up to book my XKR in for 4 new tyres fitting, i was brining my own tyres but they were going to mount them for me. As soon as i mentioned the car they asked if they were the limited edition BBS split rims that jag offered. And they were. and i was glad they knew their cars, apparently the embellishes on the split rims can be torn off by a tyre on fitting if they are done wrong, but these guys had top of the range machines and a special attachment from BBS that allowed them to do BBS split rims without damaging them. This is very important as new embellishes are £250 form Jag. All their tools are plastic tipped to avoid damaging wheels, and the special BBS tool allows them to change tyres with the wheel upside down, so they can lift it away from the front edge, instead of pull it across the front edge. i had 4 people working on my car at once and they did a F1 style wheel take off. everything was carefully checked and removed, and they even torqued the wheels up correctly without having to be asked. to only that they set the tyre pressures to what you wanted, and not just guess like some other places I've been to. made my car look like it could float I know bullet magnet also uses them, and i will definitely be going back to use them, as they are a top notch quality service, if there is one near you definitely worth a visit.

I thought i would put this up on the forum for others to see as they might find it useful. I had my rear windows tinted, everything behind the B pillars done in a dark titanium or dark smoke, not sure what name it goes under, but basically 1 up from complete limo tint. I went to see these people http://www.windowfilmcentre.co.uk/index ... dowtinting at their Ipswich offices; they are also based in Colchester and Bury st Edmunds i that helps others in the area. I was really impressed with how friendly and helpful they were, made the whole experience very easy, they use top of the range films and the bloke fitting it took real pride in his work. I don't envy them their job as watching them doing the rear window from inside looked bloody hard. They also offer a life time guarantee on their work so any issues you can always go back. They work on a lot of prestige cars and do most of the footballers cars from ITFC they also do most of the factory style tinting for the automotive sellers around this area. so they have a very good rep. and they've worked on Ferrari's, Porsche's Astons, jags, etc here are pics form my car.

have no idea on the construction of them, all i know is that if i was building my own ICE from the ground up it would be the rainbows i put in the car. the set i heard was there £150 component set and they sounded great, loads of depth to the sound, and the amount of base you could put through them was crazy. -

Dude, your jag -
Not used it but i can get hold of the stuff for you if you wanted to do it yourself. £150 for wrapping a front bumper seems reasonable and about right.

the one i fitted i just ordered a new plate, but to the US plate size for the front.
