i can't say my 2 week say in ipswich was that great either. the ultra sound scan i was meant to get within 24 hours to findout if i had apendicitis took 3 days. the results for them which meant i could eat something which were meant to be in 2 hours took 3 days on the second set. they now deal with the issue infront of them and not underlying issues. so for instance if my apendix had reptured i would have been rushed straight in. but because i was still breathing i got left to it. my knee is fubar, but because i can still walk on it i get told i can have 1 physio session. even though i've been in phsyio on and off for 10 years. they won't actually fix my knee until i'm completely crippled. I would say the front line staff in NHS hospitals are bloody great. the nurses who looked after me were lovely. but sadly they were understaffed and over worked. as for it being free; its only free if you don't pay any taxes. so i get to pay for my crap service with lots of taxes, while the rest of my money is spent helping chavs pop babies out like rabbits etc. the heiracy structures the same as the post office an upside down pyramid. to many chiefs and not enough indians.

I can't say i've agreed with alot of moderating decisions, but i usually respect the outcome. heck they even pulled beavis out of retirement just for me. Neil i agree that some of the banter has died off and this has meant some good old members have left, and others quietened down. although we may have all enjoyedourselves it doesn;t mean everyone did. and i have to sometimes remember that. which like it or not puts us in the minority. there have been cases where i don't feel members ahve been treated equally or posts shut quick enough or in other cases not open long enough. and as with anyone mods are only human; people make mistakes. and at the end of the day i've always known where the door is and i'm always free to walk through it. ....I just stay to pis$ beavis off (kidding) i do wonder whats happened to lincolnbaggie sometimes I stepped down from being the east anglia organiser a good 18 moths to 2 years ago and no one has stepped up for that. lots of people seem to want to do stuff but no one ever seems bothered enough to get off their arse and organise it themselves. which is a shame really as the members list is very large but nothing happens in east anglia. maybe rotating the REO is not a bad idea. or possibly have a competition and at the end of the year who ever has run the best meet wins a small trophy or prze or something? I do like the idea of mini moderators who only have access to say a sub forum with limited tools and access who could clear up posts and or rubbish, to leave the proper moderating to the bigger boys. but i honestly think if you mess too much with something you colud leave it in a worse condition then when you started.

god i can't believe i'm doing this but i think i might have to agree with the mod team... its the old if it ain't broke don't fix it. I may not always agree with things i may not always like the way things seem a little biased towards members etc. but... i've been apart of a previous forum that tried this and it basically fubar'd the forum, as all the people with good intentions and running a democracy, didn't actually fulfil the effort they said they would. but by this point the original team had been pi**ed off so much they let it flounder. the club still lives, but its nothing like it used to be. with regards to choosing the mod team, if it was a paid membership there is a financial vested interest in the club, which i feel gives you some rights in choosing how and who runs it. but this is a free club. so to be honest if you don't like it; its the old no pay no say. I've said before that the forum is a dictatorship, but i accept that and don't have a problem as 9 times out of 10 it means the forum runs smoothly.

depends on wehre in the country you are. average prices for say a front or rear bumper on its own could be anywhere between £250 - £450, side skirts can be anywhere £300 - £600 for a set. if its standard body work you find places will charge less compared to doing after market parts. so will charge more for work thats going to require an unkown amount of extra work to get the job done.

troll = One who purposely and deliberately (that purpose usually being self-amusement) starts an argument in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. He will spark of such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. 'you're nothing but a fanboy' is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue. other defs here http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=troll

jags are great for learning how to fix things on. i have an XKR and something is always breaking on it its my first flurry into classic cars, i thought it a nice intermediate step before full on money pit level.

your always able to put up a swap on the forum, lots like the tangerine leather and would be willing to swap for black leather, only issue is they or you might need to travel to do it.
-
you're not too far from the zed shed keyser is a memeber on here and i svery handy with a set of spanners, and all for the cost of some nice biscuits and cake for him and his pet monkey
-
i'd say mod the zed, its not a difficult car to work on, and there is plenty of info on here. better to start off on small jobs and work up. best bet is to get someone round to do it with you. learn more through doing. and you have the confidence boost of having someone with you. if you aren't currently mechnaically minded you might struggle finding a car that needs some work. and end up with a bombed out car. if your going the shed route then old mx5 or mr2 mk1 or mk2 the mr2 is mid engined and fairly easy to pop the engines out of to work on. and old enough to get a haynes manual for. plus the marqee forums for them are bursting with knowledge and the people are pretty decent. you might even be able to pick a turbo and learn all about FI

loulouj if you put your local up people might even reccomend places to go to etc for fitting or parts. or people who would like to do a swap.

from memory its 4 bolts per seat in the seat frame to the car, 1 bolt in the side of the car for the seat belt. and a plug for the heat and electric controls. steering wheel is a bit more fiddly 4 hex fittings in the casing around the wheel and a big sodding great hex nut on the steering, as well as removinbg the air bag etc.

not a major ball ache, but if you don't have a selcection of tools i'd take it to my local garage and they'd charge you very little to do it for you. probably an hours labour

your just up the road from me i'm in kesgrave i have a few scraps of both lying around so you can see the difference between 3M and Hexis if thats any help
-
any super will be fine, just don't run it on regular. theres nothing special about the zed engine, its just been tuned from the factory to run on higher ron fuel to make the most of the engine.
