  1. Bloody good engine it is too. Un1eash, get the Elise. Even if you hate it (which you won't), if you buy correctly you'll sell it on for what you paid for it and can then buy something bigger. Every petrol head should own one once in their life i'm with ekona on this out of all the cars you mention the elise is the only one that jumps off the page for me. if its a weekedn toy then the elise is perfect. pure drivers car, great fun and the rover engine is a great piece of kit, yes there have been head gasket issues, but hangar 111 brought out a revised head gasket which cures the issue. the engine is very tunable and has a great sound. as for rover engines, their V8's are the back bones and basis for many kit cars and engine conversions.
  2. don't worry AMT i think for some members with your current car in this situation. the H coup is to zeds, what zeds are to aston martin DBS someone will always look down on someone else. as they say there is always a bigger fish. don;t feel bad, they aren't a bad car, and your looking at moving on to a zed so it can;t be all that bad. but yes hurry the feck up i'm getting bored now
  3. be interesting to see how this turns out.
  4. well i dropped the car off this evening and i have been given a lovely nissan for my courtesy car. its a nice blue primera. and to give it a fair cop it actually drives pretty good. so the work starts on the car tomorrow. sadly i didn;t get chance to take any pics before it went in. but one of the guys said he'd takes pics through the day for me to show the progress, so i'll upload those when i get them. I've picked out my new exhaust tips. so i can wave good bye to the pea shooters. also decided to go for a mid sport sound. as its an everyday car i thought full sport would be too much. but if i want more noise they'll make some changes down the road for me if i want them. I'm all excited can;t wait till pickup tomorrow.
  5. resontated de cats should kill the majority of the rasp. to me rasp says badly designed exhaust. but i'm picky.
  6. looks a top notch property Sarnie has also been helping us, he is a top bloke and extremely helpful and he knows his stuff.
  7. i've heard good things about them, but always stuck with falkens.
  8. some exhausts are a little twisted, (usually cheaper ones etc) but if the alignment is all good then make up a flange spacer
  9. nice to see an empty garage,
  10. usually a bit of brute force and bending of hangers would sort it. the only other thing i can think of was it to do with how you bolted it together. Don;'t want to teach grandma to suck eggs, but did you bolt each section up tight 1 at a time or did you loose bolt it and then evenly tighten up all the bolts at the same time? sometimes if its bolted piece at a time it can pull in 1 direction. if not like you say have a flange plate machined up and slot it between 1 of the joins.
  11. top job as always, i shall be peking in at the weekend and on tuesdays evenings lol
  12. i like the design looks and sounds very nice

  14. interesting effects, some look abit like toy cars, i like the colour saturation
  15. who said that the law was the seat should be down? men were here first so taking that into account the loo seat would have been up first before it was ever down.
  16. oh dear god no, she'll ruin topgear. if she ends up on that programme it would be the equivilant of seeing megan fox with a penis. you thought it was great but now that image is tainted. she's not even that good at driving. i wonder who'll play the lead role in her movie? Ed the horse?
  17. tarmac sportz would be my first port of call
