Totally agree. Apart from the badge I could find something a lot more pleasing for 17 grand aston DB7

i agree with you SMD but my idea doesn't give an option for voting in a mod. people can offer etc, but its still down to the team to say yay or nay, it should encourage the use of the report function button if you look at the REO's i swear there is only about 4 people who actually do anything. a drive to get new REO's is not a bad thing

It's in the thread you linked yourself £140 on an exchange basis

This is pretty self explanitory and saves me the effort of typing plus it has lots of pictures http://www.poleringsguide.se/english/

you'd need a wire brush attatchement for a drill emery cloth wet and dry paper running from very coarse to very fine a cotton ball attatchement for a drill and polishing compound polishing cloths and polish. or save all the hassle and get wasso to do it for you. worth every penny as its a major ballache

don't like ferrari's they don't do anything for me, bit like cheryl cole. i know everyone else would give a testicle to have a go on either. but they just don't float my boat. both make the wrong noise

the MR2 replicas are pretty good on a visual basis exterior wise. so much so that a footballer bought one by accident a while back for a lot of money would i have one...no would i own a replica ....yes but i'd build my own and it would probably be something like a GT40

i know its a bit of a long read but if you follow the 16 pages i've never once said i want a democratic forum, in fact i've been in favour of the current system. but what i've tried to do is come up with a plan that would satisfy those that want to be more involved. without pushing for a system that does not fit with what the team want for the forum. i thought it was quiet clever. the team get some extra help without giving up any control or increasing peoples access, and those that want to be get the opportunity to feel involved and none of it really changes the dynamics of the forum i thought anyway?

we're only trying for a child so we can park closer to the supermarket

BM has photo evidece of this phenomenon. you could park in an empty car par, and some one will always park next to you.

as traders go tarmac will look after you well when it comes to buying parts. he's one of the best traders around and he looks after his customers as if they were a long standing friend. -
those machine welds are very tidy

you seem to be missing my point you know's i love you matt; if its a half empty car park then double parking for me isn;t an issue. but there have been a couple of occasions in full carparks with no spaces, and 1 numpty who's double parked. its made my pi$$ boil i feel your pain on the door ding front i've picke dup a couple as well; but it feels like a damned if you do and damned if you don't. if you were double parked in order to give you space for a disabled person to get in and out fo yur car then fair play

brake bleeding can be a bit of an art on the Zed; if its not done in the right order it can be a bug&er for air locks. looking at the repair list it does make me wonder about that mechanic. possibly a little over exhuberant with the spanners. it should have been possible to drill out and re tap in new bleed nipples if they were that bad.

i always thought that 1 property was responsible for each boundry fence. i.e. the boundary on the left and at the rear of our garden is our responsibility, so repairs and replacement are down to us, but the fence boundary to the right is my neighbours responsibility. this also means its down to me to weed and keep the path clear that runs down the left of our fence. with regards to your issue i would suspect it will need chasing ask for an update. until the land has been signed over i don't think you have alot of rights. if it was me i would be tempted to strim it and put down some weed killer but apart from that its going to be a wait and see game.

i think i have 1 spare 20mm wheel spacer with nuts in the garage, and one dead spacer with nuts.back in the day when i had them on my old zed. I had to have 1 cut off as it had welded itself on. think i still have them in the garage.

its nice when you have the opportunity to use an open track day to test these things or a private road

diesels don;t need a cat to pass an MOT and they are very easy to pull more power out of. the ford above is meant to be a very good car, and great to drive. lots of pull, all the mondeo ST trimmings but can do at least 45 to the gallon not a bad compromise. as for noise i've heard alot of these new diesels can sound quite fruity, and alot less agrigultural. i think they are better for sound if they have more than 4 cylinders. i don't know if the modeo has one, but if it does a DPF removal is also worth doing, they kill MPG and with them gone there is more power and better MPG (DPF = diesel particle filter (its designed to stop smoke from the exhaust it filters it out, and then on a long drive the engine purges the filter with fuel and burns it off)) again not needed to pass an MOT. and when they break which they often do they aren't cheap to replace, but a DPF removal is alot cheaper.

thanks stew, the post of trial mod could be used for prolonged period people might do it for 6 months to a year before being promoted to a more permanent position. it would be a safe way of seeing who actually has the staminer to keep going. i think alot of people liek the idea of being a mod; but given the opportunity might tire of it after a few weeks and end up being no use after all. this method could sort the wheat from the chaff.

i'm interested to see how you compare the mx5 to the mr2 roadster as you've driven both on track. i like the 5 but i honestly think the 2 would be a cracking track toy.

good work BM, i would have possibly given it a coat of laquer as you've thinned the top coat.

Having had some time to think about this i had some other ideas that might or might not be good. all the ideas are linked so you need to see them as a whole and not as individual points. Idea Number 1: A hiring section on the forum Why not introduce a hiring section on the forum, where current positions like REO can be advertised so people know what needs doing; this could also be used for Mod searching as well. if there is a post available people can add to that post showing their interest and add some kind of CV or application letter explaining why they think they would be suitable for the position (things like age, time free/available, possible future ideas for the forum etc). other members can see what they offer. but the final choice comes down to the team. this would also give an opportunity to have a moderator post section for all those that would like to be considered can throw their hat in. it doesn;t mean that the team have to appoint anyone from there and there may not be a need for anyone at the time, but it would gie the team a selection of people to choose form who would like to do more. Idea number 2: Trial Moderator position If there was a need for a new moderator the team could select a group of people from the hiring section who have shown interest. they could have their status changed to "trial moderator". they don't need to have any extra access to the behind the scenes section for the trial period, but what they would have to do is things like using the report post function; but in it they should expalin what they would do if they were a mod. advantages are that the mod team will have problems highlighted quickly and can deal with them straight away. they can see how those people would deal with the situations but they don;t have to relinquish any powers. if at the end of the trial period someone shows potential they could be upgraded to full mod position with all the trimmings. or if the team ae not happy they can say thankyou but no thankyou. put the people back to normal staus and try some others. not sure what people think but i thought they would good ideas.
