  2. Thing is I had a reasonable clutch pedal before I cracked open the nipple on the remote bleeder on the bellhousing... All I wanted to do was expel the old fluid by flushing with new so in effect there wouldn't have been a break in the integrity of the system to induce an air lock etc?? Honesly bud, I went in the same. I went in with a perfectly working clutch pedal that I just wanted to upgrade to a braided line. Popped the line off, replaced it and buttoned it all back up, mustve taken 15 minutes? To then spend nearly 4 hours trying all different ways to bleed it to no avail. They are notoriously bad on these cars
  3. Not the Z LOL. The civic facepalm. I'll find you my spec list in a moment and show you why I left Hondas
  4. Unfortunately chap the slave cylinders on these Zs are pretty shoddy and are a known weakness. As ive said in a another thread today they can appear to be fine but upon fiddling the seals flip. Many replace them with upgraded slave cylinders which is what I did, Chris at tarmac sports sells them for £36 quid and really saved my bacon. The added issue for you is you have an internal slave on your gearbox whilst ours are external... Which means gearbox off...
  5. Then either the kit is wrong, or they've fitted it incorrectly bud. Its one or the other and sadly means box back off again! As you say was fine before so there the only two culprits
  6. S2000's are beginning to show signs of horrendous rust yet again on the rear arches. Dont get me wrong a very fun car but bodywork is beginning to let them down, as with all Hondas when they reach a certain age. Would still get my vote though if you're prepared to fix it
  7. The slave cylinders are known for being a big weak point, hence why people upgrade them especially when fiddled with. From looking at the part numbers, it seems like you've been supplied the right part. So that only leaves two options, they've assembled it incorrectly or the slave is goosed. Have you run who you bought it from?
  8. Id say, doesnt seem like theres anywhere near enough movement. Mine was like that. Are they absolutely positive they've assembled it correctly?
  9. Id like to say they've goosed your slave cylinder in dropping the fluid, more then likely flipped the seals. Z slaves are temperamental at the best of times and are a known weakspot, when we did a simple braided line swap it finished off what felt like a perfectly fine working slave. Chris at Tarmac sports sells uprated slave cylinders for £36 quid, I purchased one when I had my issues. Might be worth giving him a shout?
  10. Agreed, the C4 in the MB6 and aerodeck was an odd combination. Interestingly enough the S9B gearbox that you would've had on the MB (unless you changed it) is one of the longest ratio gearboxes you could get. One of the few bar the Type R engines that actually came with an LSD as well. The only butt is the scene as a general imo. Changed alot and im glad to be out of it... I cant see you selling it for more then 5K, simply because people are not prepared to pay it. Seen countless well specd cars broken because people wont pay depsite not being able to build it for that price! Yes, that was the B16a generation 1 vtec engine in the SiR. Personally if i were you id get a CRX and stick the K20 in that, would be absolutely lethal. From a simple power to weight I reckon it would be comparable to your 350z, and on a twisty B road nothing would touch it!
  11. Remind me tomorrow and Ill post pictures of said K20 EF and my old B18c EK. Gah, memory lane. Not cool
  12. If you wanted really cheap, reliable B road blasting and track fun then you could sack off the K20, and stick a B18c4 lump in there from the MB6. As much as I love Hondas and I miss my old B18c EK, there is just no money in them. Every one of your plans sounds awesome, my pals have just finished there K20 EF build and its a weapon but, they'll never make there money back Appreciate that with a TT 350z thats probably the least of your concerns, just find it so disheartening watching monster builds getting torn to shreads by those selling pages where every wipper snapper thinks his rot box 1.4 is worth a million pounds. Can easily say with receipts I spent over 14K on mine by the end and I barely made 5K back in breaking. Still have the only godspeed miracle xbrace in the country too!
  13. Because its not always about chasing numbers... Id have a smooth torque curve and drivability over mad gains any day
  14. Welcome Chap Have to agree with GM about the insurance thing, I turned 25 last year and if anything mine went up. I actually found it more expensive and difficult to insure the Z in my second year of ownership, depsite yet more NCB and no incidents. The other thing to note is quite a few insurance companies, especially the more specialist require a year minimum of experience when driving RWD before they'll even entertain the idea. I know this applies to Brentacre, Adrian flux and Chris Knott as I exhausted many avenues when I first looked Your budget will get you a reasonably well looked after DE, but wont quite stretch to a HR. One thing Ill say is please try and buy from a member on here, there are some truly spectacular examples on here and you'll know its been well looked after. This forum is by far the friendliest and knowledgeable I've ever been on, its a real credit to all those on here With all the above said, you will not regret buying a Z. Enough HP out the box and look awesome to boot. And then the modding starts
  15. Bar all of the above points, a remap can provide a real insight into the health of your engine. Not only that but it provides the best basis for supporting your modifications. Some could cause your engine to run lean, or rich, decatting for an example. Remapping brings these into check while providing any possible gains, whats not to like?
  16. So where to update! Its been a month of slow going, issues but as some of you will have seen on facebook last night some real progress was made. Gutted that I didn't make Incarnation but it just wasn't quite ready and would've let the standard down! So I'll let the pictures do the talking in the order of how I received them! The first round of paint, or more to the point base coat. Toms did such a good job of smoothing my wings out for the 370z indicators It had a full blow over bar the roof, to keep it looking from 50 shades of grey. Hooray for no more thin Nissan paint! Next up the wheels and door handles came off for there refurb And then the Chargespeed was finished.... And then this is where things took a wee nose dive just before incarnation. Where we had applied more layers of paint we naturally ran low. We ordered some more with the exact same registration and VIN yet it was only after spraying the front bumper and spoiler it became painfully obvious that the paint suppliers had screwed up... This was at 9:45 pm we realised this on the Friday before incarnation  :surrender: But nevermind, we ordered more paint and sent them my fuel cap this time so they couldn't screw up twice. I popped down there yesterday to grab some photos You'll have to excuse the front bumper and spoiler, they're the wrong shade due to the paint suppliers screw up, but it gives a great idea to what she'll look like. It gets picture heavy here! So whats left to do? Well, the spoiler and front bumper are in the booth today so hopefully, they'll come out the right colour this time  We then need to wire up up the 370z indicators so they're protected from the elements. The only thing I'm not happy with is how the rear numberplate lights sit, so I'm going down this afternoon to recess them. Then it needs a dire clean as its filthy from all the workshop dust and being cut back Once the bank balance has recovered it's onto suspension and wheels!
  17. Is there any room left on this stand? Its either join all of my local Honda lot (insert facepalm here)
  18. Good luck with these, took me forever and I paid a pretty penny too!
  19. It was about a month after I'd bought the Z, and I was travelling back from Eastbourne having covered a 12H shift at the hotel. It had gone midnight and I was absolutely starving so decided to grab a cheeky maccies. The duel carriageway I was on ends in a big set of traffic lights, and a gradually reducing speed limit from 70MPH - 50MPH and then 40MPH. So for a good stretch of this duel carriageway I am well aware of a marked traffic unit sat in front of me, doing dead on 70mph. Thats fine as I'm sat behind him with the cruise control set at 70mph too, and its just me and him. Approaching the first drop in the speed limit, in almost one manoeuvre he moves over to the right, brakes hard and obviously where ive got the CC on I sail straight past. Almost instantly I realise whats about to happen, whip the CC off and start coasting. But no, he moves behind me, gets right up my ass and then the blues and twos come on So we drive into the maccies, and obviously I pull over, put the window down and switch off. He comes over and asks if I know why Ive been palled over. I reply with I believe it to be because of what happened back on the duel carriageway but making it clear that it wasnt intentional, and why did he brake when there was nothing about? Oh no. He was trying to say Id undertaken him in an aggressive manor to which I asked to see the video footage. Funnily he didnt want to show me! So at this point we've hit an impass, im refuting what hes saying but he wont show me the footage either, so we start with checks. Now I'll be the first to admit ive not always been a saint, nothing horrific but I have had several brushes with the law and around here that sticks. So he's doing his checks and looking at my license and leans in and says "How does a lad like you afford a car like this around here" Now I wont lie, i said something pretty dumb. Im sat in my car at 1am by this point tired, hungry and in my work suit. And being berated by a police officer who is as fat as he is short. So naturally I ask the question of, how did a dunking doughnut wedge like yourself become a police officer when if he ran his legs would chafe. Long story short, having been detained for another hour, multiple checks in which I turned up squeaky clean, breath tested etc he decided to let me go with a severe verbal bashing and a warning that he'd be "keeping his eye out for me" Not been pulled since, and that was only my third time being pulled. 26 this year, no points, full NCBs and have an awesome 350z. Im happy
  20. BoltsBolts sell those dude, either in normal orange or chrome finish (Still flashes orange, just stealthier) Ben and Aaron are top lads to deal with too
  21. Would be awesome for proper review on here dude! Wont be ordering them anytime soon as still recovering from the bodyshop bill. But there up there on my modifications list lol
  22. Not really haha. Did have to warm mine up for it too work LOL
  23. That latest symptom is well known with a stuck thermostat. Have to be honest at 1am my brains too cooked to say whether its open or closed though so not much help there im afraid. I want to say its stuck open though. Safe to say a trip down the Z shop to check her over The fan trick is pretty simple, even on a cold start if you start the car with AC on then at least one of the fans if not both should come on almost straight away.
  24. I voted for E as I feel its better to have pink nuts than blue balls. Nobody likes blue balls
