  1. Also, don't forget, you are in the safest country in the world (I can't prove that, but I believe it, and obviously I don't mean in comparison to countries that have never been involved in anything, I mean out of the 'target' states for terrorism) with THE MOST effective anti terrorist police in the world, who are currently making at least one terror arrest per day. Wasn't the last major atrocity in the UK the bus bombings? Dude, that was 12 years ago! And look at the stuff happening in other places, in France, for example, how many attacks? Everything that can be done is being done, and it would be a shame to live in one of the safest places in the world and seem ungrateful, no? Not trying to lay a guilt trip, or **** you off, just saying. We can't even afford to pay our police, so I understand, thank Zeus nobody really hates Greece.
  2. The main way to get yourself on a list, is to Google carelessly. That's all it takes, and unfortunately reading Wikipedia and watching YouTube content on topics whose names I will not type here, for the exact reason I'm explaining, is not enough to arrest someone. It may be in the future though, the way things are going. I see a phenomenal amount of civil liberties we currently take for granted going bye bye in the near future, and rightly so, we can't carry on like this. We have reached such a massive number that the miniscule percentage of crazies has also reached a number where they can't all be watched anymore. Another advert for population control and/or a devastating world war/epidemic/cosmic event.
  3. When the muppets at the US intelligence services let random people get their hands on the code used to create this kind of stuff, all of a sudden, the list of people doing it grows substantially. The intelligence services have the same dilemma, they have to decide who is worth using the resources to go after. Adrian, all encryption methods these days are strong, and stronger ones will come, sadly this is irrelevant. For years it's been beyond the amateur, and it will never reach a level where it can stop a western government (lest we forget, they did crack that iphone without apples help, they just wanted an easier way). Its all about social engineering these days, nobody's trying to break encryption any more, they'll try to get your login info by other far cleverer ways, or by exploiting a far weaker process than encryption to get in through a different door (like windows). For example, one of the most common methods of hacking a password, is to spy on the computer through a window using a powerful telescope from far away, you can see what people are typing, sometimes they'll even use reflective surfaces in a room if a direct path to the keyboard isn't available. It really is that simple if you have time and resurces and want someone bad enough.
  4. I haven't done it, nor am I aware of any ready templates. I do plan to do it, but I think that given the nature of vinyl as a stretchy thing which needs to be fitted, a precisely cut template would be difficult to then apply and have very straight edges when done. What I would probably do would be to use vinyl cutting tape to make the shape on the lights that I am happy with, stretch the vinyl over the area as needed, then lift the cutting tape. Hope it helps. P.S. Don't ask me how you get colour matched vinyl, I haven't thought that far ahead yet.
  5. Exactly, who you believe, but this is not a religion, it's a simple tech fact. There are quite a few distinguish members here on the forum with serious IT background I'm one of them. One of my friends is a well known black hat, I personally am on the white side more (security), but this guy is good, really good. The fact of the matter is if they want you, they'll get you and it has nothing to do with encryption being difficult to crack (a supercomputer can crack 128 bit encryption in a few weeks if needed, by the way, sometimes sooner, it's a matter of luck). Since computers became more secure, hacking methods became more mechanical. Finding the weak link in the organisation whose password is 'manuforever', or 'iamgod', or the guy who opens emails without checking them, installing a silent keystroke recorder, etc etc. It only takes one guy on the network to screw up and everyone is exposed. The bottom line is this... If you aren't doing anything serious, or aren't a person of note, nobody wants you and you don't really have to worry too much about security beyond making sure you're using malwarebytes, adblock and a decent antivirus. If they want you though, there is nothing whatsoever you can do. That's it, nothing more. If my mate wants into your bank accounts, he'll do it, and you'd have to be following the NSA's best practice book to the absolute letter if you want to stand a chance of protecting yourself from him, and even then... Those who do it for love will always do it better than those who do it for money. So the truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle.
  6. I think the illustrious fashion police are interfering unduly here, it's not like he wants to put a grand's worth of big gay wing (which would be a mistake worth issuing a warning about), he wants to put a couple of stickers on the lights, it'll cost 15 quid and peel off in 10 seconds if it doesn't look right, I don't think opinions were really warranted under these circumstances. Do it mate, for reasons stated, it's nothing to reverse if you don't like it...but do the vinyl thing, it's the only way to make them look 'right', as you noticed the FRP/PU ones tend to be noticeably raised above the bonnet line. I'm going to be doing it soon, my car isn't particularly low, but it is quite sporty looking, by the time I do it, it will have a nismo v2 front, chargespeed rear, black facelift lights are already in, deep dish wheels, etc, etc. I particularly feel that the eyebrows go well with long nose front bumpers like the nismo v2 and v3 and a couple of others.
  7. Not soon enough, but I give it at least another 400 years unfortunately.
  8. I got no fear of that, while I'm sure my wife could drive the Zed just fine, she's a decent driver, she never would, she's scared shitless of it. Hey ho, works for me.
  9. It's true, feta cheese and olive oil does not an economy make. Lucky we have lots of nice islands and weather. I don't know why they don't start offering some of the islands for sale for a few billion each, surely there are some Chinese, Americans and Russians that would buy a few.
  10. Fighting an enemy that is not afraid of death has always historically been a difficult proposition. As is repeatedly said, the focus needs to be on the few who radicalise the many weak minds.
  11. 2 trillion total public net debt. I love it!! Put that into euros and watch it grow as the pound goes down dooby doo down down. Makes you wonder why there's such a fuss about Greece's trifling debt.
  12. Pics from further back of the whole car please Rims look good, hard to go wrong with RPF1 style. P.S. tell your other half the AE86 needs widening at the rear, either some arches and some spacers or some wider wheels.
  13. Jetset, a big majority is exactly what we need at the moment, and will be beneficial to democracy, when people see the people they elected having real power for once.
  14. Someone changed their vote from LD to labour. WHY!??! From the misguided to the mad.
  15. Noticed on BBC yesterday, the owner and passenger of the Sunset 350 that killed those four kids on a quad in 2015 were sentenced yesterday, 9 years for the driver. He wasn't anyone on here, was he? Wonder if this incident was what led to our cars being put on a high risk list.
  16. Just make sure you fit a lightweight flywheel at the same time.
  17. The businesses that quoted you unhappy, did they say anything about the quality of the part, that it would require a lot of fitting and sanding, or other unusual prep? Or you just think they were taking the ****?
  18. Corp tax cut is to make Trump happy I reckon, especially in light of Brexit, giving American businesses the idea that they can have a similarly corporation friendly environment in the UK.
  19. No heat is used for window tint, it's not vinyl or anything like it in application. Heat CAN be used to get a little shrinkage, but shouldn't be necessary. As for not touching it, you COULD do some very careful squeegeying of your own, but as soon as you touch it you waive any right to complain about the result, now or in the future... I'd go with what Rich said for the time being, better to be able to make it someone else's problem.
  20. I can't see that image (corporate block), so I've no idea what it is of, but I was gonna say... LOWER IT?? I'd RAISE it! And put proper off road beadlocks on it, I don't care if it's front wheel drive and wouldn't get through a playground sand pit. EDIT: Now I'm home I can see it, cool Juke!! I want! EDIT: Here's a lifted one.
  21. It wasnt a competition i was just saying Vauxhall/Opel often slide under the radar, they have made some mad cars and do have a well regarded motorsport heritage, albeit in the past. Didn't mean to come off aggressive, but it was a competition, right from the moment that Strudul said it was a stretch to dis vauxhall while owning a nissan, I was posting under that context, sorry for the misunderstanding Yeh, they seem content for the last 30 years to just be 'an average car maker' and that's where my derision comes from. I can think of no worse insult than being called 'average'.
  22. I'm still considering these, do you have any idea the concave (face) difference between the 10.5+20 (which I assume has the deepest face) and the 9.5 +35? Is it flat, slightly concave, or very concave? Which wheel is that pictured? I assume its the 10.5? Thanks mate. EDIT: Don't worry I found em... This is the 8.5+30: This is the 9.5+35: And this is the 10.5+20: The last two photos are identical, so either there was a mistake by the uploader, or they have the same face for all intents and purposes. So they are all concave and there are two faces (9.5 and 10.5 seem to have the same depth).
