  1. Hi guise, Got my first little problem with the car that I could use some advice on please. I just had it in to change the fuel tank level senders, aka floaters. The job's been done, the fuel gauge is working perfectly now, and there are no issues whatsoever with the way the car runs, except I now have a P0183 (high signal from fuel temp sensor) which would be expected with a fuel pump change, but should then not return after being cleared. Unfortunately, this one comes back! The entire floater units came from a UK low mileage car and looked brand new. My old ones were dogs out of my US base model, all yellow and horrible looking. I never did get the opportunity to compare them in my hands, like for like to identify any differences, so I can't be sure they were exactly the same part. Also, at this point I'm not sure whether or not the pump was included with the floaters, but I think it was not, so let's work on that assumption (that the old pump was removed and put in the new floater unit, then refitted). So, naturally my assumption is that they knocked a wire on the fuel temp sensor or something, but I'm struggling to understand where the actual sensor is and if it has its own connection(?) The reason I ask this is because a few online snippets say that the temp sensor is integrated with the fuel pump unit, but they might mean the whole sender as 'the fuel pump unit'. Does anyone know what this fuel temp sensor is and how it's connected? I'm decent at searching and I've looked at everythingnissan.com as well. So the actual questions that need answering are... 1) Is there a difference between a UK DE Fuel Level Sender part and the US equivalent? Different part number? 2) Is the temperature sensor part of the sender assembly or the actual fuel pump itself? 3) In either case, does it have it's own connection or is integrated with the circuitry of the fuel pump? In other words, if the fuel is pumping, is it possible to have some other connection related issue? This would indicate the likelihood of a physical issue or the alternative, an incompatiblity. 4) Is the torque app possibly not clearing them properly and I don't REALLY have an issue? Is there a better way to clear? I also had the base open diff changed for the viscous, and as part of this, the exhaust had to be modified. I also had DEPO headlights fitted. The torque pro app via a V-Gate wifi OBDII adapter shows the following fault codes after a clear and a drive... CURRENT FAULT: P3000 - Powertrain = anyone got any ideas on this? PENDING FAULT: B0300 - Body - Again, any clues helpful... PENDING FAULT: P0183 - Powertrain - Fuel temperature sensor A circuit high input PENDING FAULT: P3000 - Powertrain Obviously, I'll be booking it back in where the work was done for them to figure it out as well, but any help I can give them will be good. Cheers!
  2. Must be willing to ship to Greece at my cost naturally, and I'm well aware it'll cost over 100 quid just on the delivery. I'm also willing to arrange courier collection. This item cannot be bought in Greece, so I gots no choice. Any colour/condition both new and second hand considered, but would prefer second hand (having been fitted to a car before), sunset colour and undamaged. Example of required part is pictured courtesy of Hensh65....
  3. Did you know that most Americans think that the English don't get sarcasm? Oh, the irony.
  4. Random passing drunk takes on Police dog handler during firearms incident. Big mistake... http://www.birmingha...es-man-13124691 80 year old Buzz Aldrin (now 87!) smacks dickhead conspiracy theorist right in the mouth. Epic best ever example of failing to properly consider the potential consequences of your actions. Stand in front of a decorated veteran and call him a liar. Good thinking, guy!
  5. Which I would be totally up for, if only I had a better idea.
  6. Agree that it's inconsistent, which is why I promote my version of the truth at every opportunity.
  7. Give us that shizz. Make England great again! I jest, but strong leadership, yeh, that's a distant memory. Sad truth is, if we ever did have 'strong' leadership again, the special snowflakes would be in outcry and they would be labelled extremist and impeached.
  8. I swear I've seen that dude in another ghetto mod video. Neat trick though. As for the grammar, I'll take the acid test against the internet any day. The internet's full of Americans. I agree in principle with that shot, except the last section, where they ever got that from...capitalise Be? Insanity.
  9. Is this going to be a single purpose track car and nothing else? If not, then 1.5. I heard the sound of a Z doing tight maneuvers with a Kaaz two way just the other day, one pulled in while I was colelcting mine from the workshop. Let's just say it wasn't a nice sound.
  10. They're exactly the sort of things which would be on the list, but who is it out there pining for the "good old days" when you called someone a chink or paki? I don't want to go back to that, particularly, although Paki is a perfectly fine abbreviation of the word Pakistani if you ask me, and I assume they don't find Pakistani insulting? It's a good example really, I don't call Pakis pakis (and I do, to my wife, or when I'm not in company, and so do most of you, don't deny it, for the reason I'm about to state) because I don't like them, I call them pakis because it's half as many syllables. Great case in point. Here's another...why is it that only one of these statements will get you into trouble? You fat bastard You tall bastard You black bastard. Surely, the insult here is 'bastard', the adjective is incidental, AND the fact is, between a fat, a tall and a black person, there is no better way of characterising them. It's completely natural to describe an object based on its strongest characteristic, it's how our brains work by default. PC-ness has made us have to process that sentence, stop us saying it, think of some other criteria to use and then still call that guy a bastard, only with a less effective adjective! Durrrrrr...something disconnects here. Yeh, it would be nice if every special snowflake's first reaction wasn't to deliberately misunderstand and take any excuse they can to nail you to the wall, but hey, I too am a dreamer.
  11. To change the evils of the world, often introduces worse evils. I can't think of a UK example, so I'll give you a Greek one. We pay NUTS money for cars. I've mentioned before that a good 350Z over here with say 50k miles, clean and smart, in full working order, will run you about 18 grand. So, I hear you say, why don't we buy from Albania and Bulgaria and import them for less than half the price? The answer is because the Greek government has import laws which are all its own and do not conform with (in fact they directly contravene) EU standards, the EU fines Greece every year for this policy, but they don't change it, and the EU doesn't REALLY want us to change it either. I won't describe the policy in detail, but it makes it literally impossible to import a car economically, unless it's something super rare. Example, when I first came to Greece I wanted to import a Corrado VR6 from Germany, would have cost me about 3 grand for the car. The equivalent car here at the time was going for about 8 grand. I thought I'd be able to import one for less than the difference. Nope, the bill would have been 11 grand on top of the purchase price. Insane, right? This should be changed!! But if they do change it...what happens? Firstly, the bottom falls out of the Greek car market (the only market still operating at close to normal levels), don't even get me started on the second hand car market, who will all lose half their value overnight, as they've already paid import duties (or a price for the cars) for the cars they have in stock at the inflated rate, so a LOT of money leaves the economy (or the government compensates them (govt has no money)), then you've got the devaluation of existing cars on the road, my Zed is no longer worth (let's say) 12 grand, it's worth 6. I personally have lost 6 grand from my overall value and so has everyone else in the country, removing another SHEDLOAD of money from the economy (as much as 10% of the net worth of all the greek people). So this evil has to stay, nothing can be done, because the alternatives are worse. Now I'm not saying I know for sure that those 'achievements' you listed fall under that category, but I bet some do, particularly the NHS conundrum. There isn't enough money, we all know this, people are living too long, if there is a better solution, tell them please, they need to know.
  12. Conjunctive verbs and articles shouldn't be capitalised ('are' and 'this' in the example), but many proponents of correct modern English will tell you that only the first word of a title should be capitalised and there should be no punctuation at the end. I was just bored, this is forum, don't worry about it, I just wanted to bust your balls, I know you're not one for misunderstanding (contrary to popular belief), I'm just pedantic grammar police, it's all good
  13. Capitalisation of every word in the title, including even conjuctive verbs and articles? Shame on you, you'll be using arbitrary apostrophe's soon. In other news, I wish I could see the video. I'll have a look on the phone in a bit.
  14. Any kind of judgment of another (unless you're a judge, and even then! ) is un-PC these days. For example, if someone really wanted to give me a problem, they could assert that my comments saying that we need more death in the human race are offensive, because when they were 5 their pet hamster died and I'm causing them undue grief. It only takes one nut-jb, and a few of their followers to agree, anbd you have mob hysteria. Recent example, the story about that Chinese student saying a bunch of truths about China, I reckon they'll execute her if she goes back. That's just mad, mad, MAD. The world is going mad.
  15. In my opinion a strong Tory majority is the least tragic result. You want Trumpland? Where the next leader promptly undoes just about everything their predecessor did? Doesn't make for good forward progress I reckon, especially with Brexit coming up, you want to be dealing with all the changes that Labour want to make as well?
  16. 70 quid each brand new from Torqen if you don't have any luck from scrappies.
  17. Democracy is a popularity contest, nothing more, that's why it's failing. Because GE success no longer has anything whatsoever to do with political smarts or an appropriate vision of the future. I'm fully expecting some kind of TRAGIC result the next GE, because all referendums and elections in the world for the last 2 years have favoured the reactionary, sensationalist agenda.
  18. Yeh, I was wondering if there was some kind of appropriate self assessment at play, being out of the loop for 15 years, I don't know much about the personalities in British politics any more, but I couldn't help thinking 'Hm, maybe she's not as sharp when put on the spot?'... And if that's the case, I can't say I find that as a negative. There are a couple of people here at my office, who aren't the brightest bulbs in the chandelier, however, they compensate by being methodical and careful, and as a result, their work is more often 'right first time', than people who have notably more 'horsepower' but tend to jump in. I don't think that's a bad quality to have in a leader.
  19. Totally off topic, but... When I'm really really pi**ed off to the point of wanting to murder, I watch a 6 second, 10 year old video called 'The Racquetball trick' (careful spelling), uploaded by PuckUniversity. It disarms me immediately. I can't link it as I'm at the office, but if you search 'the racquetball trick', it should be the second result. Enjoy.
  20. Yeh, wasn't there a motor brush replacement kit for these? I may be imagining it.
  21. Or get a super swish metal one from torqen... Assuming this is for a 350Z https://www.torqen.u...-trq-ut350.html
  22. Its so pathetic they attack May for not appearing at 'teh squabble'. She said she wouldn't and she didn't. Respect. If she HAD turned up she would have earned my disdain.
  23. That was funny, but kinda risky isn't it? Posting videos of the deliberate commission of crimes to incite law enforcement response for $hits n giggles?? Don't they take a rather dim view of that? Still funny though.
