  1. my brother bought a Supra recently for £20k. Cant wait for it to be out of the garage and on the road when weather improves.
  2. welcome to the forum. Get your son to sign up here too. Good cars. Yes the boxster and cayman will always be the lighter, sportier cars. The 350Z is a true Grand Tourer. I guess that crossover of sports GT is important to have. Useable everyday and not too hardcore. Good to have a common interest for sure!
  3. Its not a rumour. Alfonso Albaisa is the Vice President of Design for Nissan Global. Hes not allowed to confirm or deny. But what he says holds some value as in the Z hasnt been forgotten and they are seeking replacements. Just about which media outlet he spoke to originally and if it can be verified. They usually conduct interviews at the shows anyway
  4. They are already with Daimler which owns Mercedes. The new Juke takes cues from Mercedes
  5. The Tokyo Motorshow is about to start and all they got are two silly Cube concepts. They had 2 years to prepare something but nothing. Still another week but I doubt anything will happen. The GTR wont be replaced for another 2 years. As its still selling. They chief engineer even went on to say 2023..... The Zed mehh, Just go buy something else or get a Z4 lol Alfonso Albaisa said a new Z is being worked on more than a year ago. Electrification is a terrible idea. I rather drive a petrol hybrid than a full electric sports car. They shouldn't bother with that. Infact I rather they dumped a 4 pot DCT than electric. Alfonso Albaisa post some infiniti stuff on Instagram usually around concepts but has never posted any Z related stuff lol He claims theyll never abandon the Z line. But 10 years going 11 is slightly beyond their usual timeline... Seems like they cant decide which way to go.
  6. Yep get on the trains lose revenue from VED then get hit somewhere else, apart from the annual raise in train fare
  7. your old Nismo is now with junction 17
  8. Its not meant to be interesting or exciting. Nothing about EVs are unless youre a tech savvy individual or mad scientist
  9. I dont think any are discontinued, but v6 unless you can go for a v8.
  10. The audio when speaking is really low
  11. 370z, MX5, Fiat 124 or bust Or go to the other side Boxster, Cayman. Scope it out id say
  12. You can pick up an Toyota IQ for £1600 some are exempt from road tax apparently
  13. Fun Fact: This particular model and Livery appeared in Test Drive Unlimited 2 on PS3
  14. Did you go down to South Africa to view it in the flesh?
  15. Or you can try the art of "drafting" behind lorries. Ive seen a few people do it. Might not be deliberate or maybe it is. Only attempt if you have clear vinyl wrap to avoid stonechips . Im sure you can get better MPG with less wind hitting the front of the car.
  16. people would rather buy that smoking banger and make money somehow as most of them are living on less than a pound a day in many countries. Sounds like a 10 percent market for those who can afford it. Obviously over time they will become more accessible to the rest of the population. By then there will be different laws on where you can go with them and taxes applied. It will be easier to take public transport or hail an autonomus 4 seater pod anyway Also the rear mounted motors where fitted to a 2019 Civic in US also. Powering the rear wheels. Worked really well. Hydrogen is still in the process. A few manufacturers are already working on this like BMW, Toyota, Mercedes but its still a costly process and a lack of infrastructure. BMW want to get a concept car X5 to production one day..Apparently they did this in 2005 with the 7 series??!! Just showing the possibilities
  17. its only £140 from April 2017 and £570 prior. Not sure if thats increased or not yet.
  18. yep short tails do the job. I had AAMs on mine. Nice car to go with roads up there
  19. https://www.motor1.com/news/369872/bmw-i-hydrogen-next-revealed/ I think other alternatives to pure electric have been sort since the mid 90s. Only issue right now is expense to produce the cars I respect the tech behind electric vehicles. Im still a young petrol head, besides ive driven a hybrid for more than a year. Ive done my bit for ultra low emissions lol
  20. Could be as simple as a loose connection. Better to check it before making any moves!
