The diesel toxins are contributing a lot more dangers than petrol. Someone actually thought the black soot coming out the back of a diesel estate was actually cleaner than petrol Diesel power....I stay well back I dont want to get the soot and toxins on my white paint..but yeah I guess he smoked me too.. Id like to try a boosted car one day. Then again I havent tried one yet because I'm not obsessed with beating Beatrice at the lights to the next set of lights. Been there done all of that. I guess for peeople tracking and wanting an all round package or just more power then yes. The Zed is best avoided. Ive had RS3 and co goading me on. Funny thing is there isnt enough road around town to get left behind completely. With the options out there nothing stopping me or many others getting something way more powerful and sub 4.5 seconds. But what gives. I just came off BMW Blog website and some guy destroyed his S55 Engine M2 accidentally shifting into third from fourth instead of going to Fifth at the limit. It wasn't stock and it was tuned. But something must give. When I first got in the Nismo as a passenger I felt the car was very quick coming from a 350Z DE. For some who are used to the power now, nothing wrong with wanting something quicker. In future I may go for M2 Competition, GTR, C63 V8 or an RS3 etc. I guarantee I will get bored quickly lol. All run of the mill cars i see every day A slightly tuned (intake, exhaust, HFC) Nismo vs new Stock Supra. Not much in it. Supra wins by a a car length or two. Tune the BM/Supra risk blowing the engine like this guy did. Or Rebuild with uprated parts like Papadakis on Youtube and potentially get 1000HP with possible problems in future. Power, Power, Power. Even the 800HP 350Z Nismo on Youtube guy is not happy. Id be happy to even see a Maclaren 720 beside me for a second in a race. But we keep pushing boundaries and never settle. Each to their own I guess.

Last resort going German when I'm like 50 maybe. Have you tried Lexus? The only Japanese Luxury brand for me.

I found the GT86 to lack headroom. But both good cars I'm sure Ill try both at some point. Good thing about the Zed is you can step into one of those MX5 or GT86 and not feel like you are downgrading so much. Maybe because they all cater to a similar crowd despite being different cars completely. Definitely a fan of both cars. Sat in the Baby blue GT86, Like the look of it. I also like the Fiat 124 Spider. I wonder what the GR 86 will be like. I'm sure we'll hear about it soon enough. Possibly turbocharged 2.5 The number of MX5 ND sold worldwide is quite impressive for this day in age. I think Nissan are worried they wont sell anywhere near as much with an equivalent model. I wonder if Honda could sell any with an electric sports E coupe

you'd be suprised a lot of Zeds on the used market have personalised plates. Owners tend to leave them on there. Like mine and my brothers Zeds both came with personalized plates. Nice colour for sure. I'm somewhat colour blind, so I assumed in the first picture it was pearlescent black. Saw this car at Brighton last year.

Just wanted to gauge how many active members no longer drive zeds, gtr or any Nissan or are thinking of selling up and moving on. Is it best to avoid going after May and before September? Due to how busy it can get? I know that some people just go along to john o groats and come back to take the mid highlands from Tongue back down to Inverness instead of sticking to the coast because of how busy it gets in peak times

Just get an up to date aftermarket one that fits! I had one from 2003. No Audio and very basic looking maps.

Sounds about right for a premium vehicle. With Porsche they know they are at top of the mid range and top end sports car market. They have no qualms charging these amounts. Their market will happily pay it. Im sure servicing a boxster is no cheaper. Maybe a couple quid off the major service if that. Its easy to assume that the 911 Carrera S would have been classed as a near supercar if it came out 10 years ago. The performance is up there. Even the naturally aspirated 3.8 carrera pdk claims 4.5 seconds. The fact that rival cars claiming the same time cant keep up to 70mph means its actually faster in reality. Gotta pay to play . Depending on the Cayman model if an S or GTS PDK of recent years its probably quicker than the Nismo and lighter by a good 150kg

Which model Cayman was it? I heard they are bringing back 6 cylinders to both Boxster and Cayman. Thats the new line. I'm sure they could have thrown in a discount or something for the upcoming service and push through the sale. Porsche know someone will come and buy it regardless. Again all comes down to whether an equivalent Cayman is 3 4 times the car the zed is. Yes its lighter, its quicker by a second and more above 60. Is the cost justified and is it worth £1000 for a service like my brother paid for his carrera before his got written off recently. Personal choice. Saying that I went in the Carrera S 2019 911 444 BHP. Impressive car. 3.7 Seconds, aggressive. Exhaust was quiet, lots of turbo and spooling noises. This model didnt have reverse camera, auto dip mirrors and a host of other options. The cost im sure was still £100,000+. No where near as good as his original 2015 3.8 Carrera PDK with a natural engine

As an alternative, Short tails were enough for me. They sound really good thats how the car should have come from the factory. I got AAM Resonated. Nowadays you can get them for £500 from Tarmac or Torqen.

lool i wonder how it compares design wise to the new Alpine S. A bit dearer at £62,000 though. You could by a standard Alpine, get new coilovers and hit litchfields for the 292 hp for a lot less

Unfortunately they have used cheap plastics on the door mirror cover. Also the bodykit trim pieces are not the best finish and there are some fake vents.

The future is green. Thats a warning sign right there

New Zed is best forgotten about. Best enjoy what you got. That isnt coming anytime soon.
