  1. i just assumed the Q60s were all bought up but you're right there are less for sale now. I think it will be tough for them but focussing on Electrifying the whole Infiniti Range, having an SUV thats fully electric (ariya) in addition to the Leaf and introducing an electric or hybrid Juke may be the way forward for them. While the idea of a leaf coupe similar to the cancelled Honda E coupe concept shouldn't be ruled out its a case of whos buying. 25,000 people registered interest in the Honda E in UK. Many of them probably wont buy it in the end due to the range and cost. Also youngsters are looking for an alternative to the Teslas while some are buying model 3 anyway. Nissan used to be the guy "Offering an alternative for cheaper" It worked in the 70s 80s 90s. Selling exclusive models for millions doesn't make you a prestigious brand. Focussing on what can make you a big name will. But before they get there they need to offer great alternatives are competitive prices. There are articles stating the end of Z and GTR in Europe due to cut backs. I could have written that 2 years ago as the numbers were never great in EU. With Ghosn gone. The new probation bound CEO needs to get sales up. Focussing on Asia, Africa, Middle East markets may be the saving grace. US and EU are tough nuts due to many better alternatives with superior after sales service..
  2. I saw a white one on the road when in my ZED and he was right on my tail. Nissan wont bother making any further trims or using a more powerful engine. They are cutting operations and closing factory in Spain to move to UK. They got large wheels on a 1 liter car. The interior is much improved and the exterior is better than 1st gen. Nissan wont be bothering with a Hot hatch. An AMG 45 engine in a Nissan. Not sure...X class is ceasing production soon. Theyve reduced output and set lower targets in order to recover financial losses. Basically if we ever want to see an R36 or 400Z etc they need you lot buying Jukes, Frontiers, Navaras, Qashqais, Micras, Versas the lot. They need to sell 5 million vehicles worldwide annually. With the introduction of the Ariya Electric SUV theyre hoping people will have a renewed interest in the brand. Theyve sold a few of these Jukes but its still relatively new so itll take a while before they start becoming common. Problem is that previous gen was 10-15k near new...this gen is a bit more. Wish the interior center console was more integrated
  3. Good old Virginia Water. Its hard to tell tbh man. Everyones cutting back or tightening operations. They are in a good area over in Virginia Water. Everything seems to be shifting towards SUV and electric saloons. Its hard to say. We truly are in the last days of 2 seater High performance large engined cars. The future is not looking good. Id say if we waited long enough it may be too late. Id say if thats what you want go get it. Ive been driving my ZED almost daily. This pandemic actually hammers home the fact that nothing is guaranteed in the future. Jobs, economy, the next pandemic, ban on ICE vehicles, ban on entering cities with ICE vehicles. It may eventually become a game for the top 10%. Maybe they will be the only ones willing to pay £1000s in VED, cost of purchase and Petrol to drive a classic Petrol car lol Sorry to go off topic, but im always trying to picture whats ahead.
  4. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/nissan-z-design-alfonso-albaisa-interview/ Posted on his instagram by the guy himself! Just a write up and background.
  5. are you sure you want a Corvette? Thread carefully!
  6. Wow, thats why sometimes the release of a new model is best left for sometime so the manufacturer can iron out all the issues with the car. Hopefully these build issues get addressed. At the price point there were going to be issues here and there but no one would have envision this many. The main thing is they shouldn't hesitate to issue a recall on the mechanical issues first and foremost. Worst thing they can do is do an Audi and deny all responsibility or start making excuses. They will quickly lose customers. Address any issues with customers hopefully they will be satisfied and not start rejecting cars or starting class action suits
  7. Will you keep this one?
  8. Torqen has JDM clears £825.
  9. 15k is mad money lol...2k for a spray seems more reasonable...maybe £2500 now. How many body shops would be willing to do a color change. I get the feeling they make way more money through insurance jobs and quick repairs. If it can be done in a week.
  10. theres another side of youtube with similar content just purely foreign language. Shame translated subtitles arent always available
  11. you speak some Japanese? my mate had to learn it back in the day to be able to play games 9 months early. Think I should...good video
  12. Haha Nismo way more road presence and little fake vents less funny looking plastic.. Exhaust difference lool..come on..no contest. Supra is newer, slightly on the cramped side. Would test drive one just to see.....but loving the nismo 370 right now. Feeling to go out for a spin...ah well..
  13. One website is claiming it wont be turbo but naturally aspirated 2.4. Lol Subaru will apparently stop taking orders later this year.
  14. They have confirmed on their Social Media as long as the person does not have more than 6 points for insurance. Just add fuel They are also offering free breakdown service for older Nissan cars owned by NHS key staff. Great gesture indeed Lastly Nissan Sunderland factory have supplied 100,000 face masks to the NHS never too late to get on the list if youre a nurse, doctor or key staff. Some sites remain open. https://www.nissan.co.uk/covid-19/nhs-car-loans.html

  15. A few mods done on this car. Got the KW lift suspension and more. Think its a 2019 maybe
  16. More G35 and Z
  17. LC500 is more of a heavy luxury cruiser. You have to be 100% sure you want it. Ive seen the car in person 2 years ago. Its not a huge car at all. Guessing it all the insulation and heavy materials used to shore up the car that makes it 2 tonnes. I wonder how much weight its shed for this year. jdm clears look super expensive. Are there any Japanese vendors you can buy directly from?
  18. It is an evolution of the VQ series engine. I guess that would be down to the engineers at base to comment on. They do design and build the other engines including the race cars as well as the Nismo GTR. Renault were planning to develop a hybrid version of this VR engine for the Q60 it looks like that got shelved. Any chance of that hybrid engine being transferred to the Z line looks out of the window. They could have put the standard VR in the Z 3 years ago but chose not to. Any changes now will be futile, the engine is already years old and comes with its own set of issues. The VQ seems more viable for now if they wish to keep making the car and selling 150 per month worldwide. As Steve O said, their quality isnt the best, Even if they made an electric in this segment by then there will be other brands doing it better. . There may be no reason to come back not even for a Leaf sports car which is basically where its headed according to this Trademark They do offer great range in the electric Leaf for a hefty £40,000. Model 3 equivalent might be better option. When speaking about performance we,ve seen with Tesla top model, the delay of their supercar, Porsche Taycan, Honda's cancelled E coupe etc that it wont come cheap or easy if thats the route they want to take in future. Due to their cutbacks. Maybe Mazda, Toyota or Honda will head that way sooner.
  19. No, The 3.0 Liter Twin Turbo VR30DDTT from the Q60 and V37 Skyline or Q50 is a Nissan engine developed from the Nissan Le Mans R390. Mercedes only supply the 2.0 Engine for the V37 Skyline Sedan in Japan. The engine is 4 years old and debuted with the Q50/60
  20. was done by independent garages but yeah. Only gripe was it sounded terrible and didnt seem much faster. I dont think they can charge more than £35-£40,000 for this car regardless Lol Will still appeal to lots of US folk with the 4 year old TT engine ripe for tuning. After watching one youtuber go through injector issues with his q60 ill say its not as straight forward post 500hp... Yep Nissan are downsizing, lowering production numbers and expectation to sell a million less vehicles.....Workers in Tennessee have been furloughed for the time being with many factories cutting workers and staff. Post covid I see more cuts. Any sports models depend on sales of the main events (Juke, Qashqai, X Trail, Sentra, Etc) to hit the 5 million mark. American dealers complained to the CEO on public perception of the brand as a bargain basement. Certain Model refreshes have happened but more needs to be done.
  21. Yeah had a gander again, £56,000 for 66 plate MY17 shape but a pre facelift 16 plate I saw for £47,000. Similar mileage. Guess its the waiting game. With these cars as long as I can get use to the fact brakes are £2k and Service is up to 1k under warranty and tires are approaching 1k then I can crack on. Thats excluding Fuel, Insurance and Tax which are similar to the 370Z. Insurance is roughly the same price but if I was living in Reading I could get it as cheap or cheaper than the Nismo depending on Model year around £1200. £1300 is the standard group 49/50 price. In my area there are Mustangs galore. Mostly germans here. RS3, AMG, M, S5
  22. Ill hundred percent take the LC,500 V8 or V6 hybrid. Prefer the V8 with an exhaust. The new one is apparently coming with weight reduction. Lol I understand dumping the Nismo only for something that makes sense or is just as good. 18 plate i almost got one of Ford at 23k a year ago. Went quick. Current Nismo is a 16 plate. So you can imagine if I sell later this year ill probably just about get 17-19k if I hold my breath. I dont even care anymore tbh lol 66 plate my 17 shape GTR start from £56000 and up. May not be the case next summer. I think a 3-5k drop is possible. GTR is 100% on my list of cars for the future. Which one depends. Id love a MY17 shape for sure under warranty directly from Nissan. Some are coming with 2 year warranty standard. So we,ll see. LC500 I can see coming down further than GTR. I wouldn't say no to a 12-15 GTR if its been well maintained and nothing outstanding. For now head down keeping the penny jar full
  23. Freshkicks 350Z 800whp. Raced a McLaren months back. Crazy work gone into that car
