  1. Does the loss of interest in F1 correlate directly with technological changes and new restrictions...Or is it just a case of less racing and more politics? Are there backhanders from climate change activists and government ministers to manufacturers to step away from the internal combustion engine in motorsports then slowly in production vehicles? Companies like Nissan seem to have taken a shine to Formula E. About as exciting as tumbleweed. That seems to be the future. While I would like to experience a formula 1 event it wont be long before they become Quad turbo hybrid 4 cylinders. I stopped watching years ago and havent looked back since. I like the idea and respect the technical nature of Formula 1. Well in terms of the Zeds. I drive mine once or twice a week. Then a hybrid the rest of the time. Either way the only real pollution happens once a week. Its not feasible to outright ban petrol engines until EV becomes very affordable and very widely available. Even then there isnt enough resources to regulate and enforce this ban.
  2. lol the sideskirting the bodyshop couldn't get right due to the small spacing. I think its more its too much hassle to get masking tape perfect to spray without ruining it. Might have to wrap it or replace it. Thats a lot of money to replace it...I doubt theyll fit for free if i was to replace ill ask They sorted my front grill were paint was coming off seems like i overpaid. They agreed to touch up the grey on the side skirt which was rough as well Looking again to be honest a good job overall. Not perfect alternative was to buy a new one. £200 all in im satisfied
  3. i bought AAMs because it was the thing before Tarmac and Torqen started doing them £300 cheaper. They make a good sound better than some full systems and they pop now and again when hot. Not in an asbo way. So you wont get coined
  4. started with a bang. Wish I had that straight out of uni I had an Audi A3 which broke in many places Did you get an exhaust yet?
  5. Dude the amount of threads discussing this its kinda understandable some reactions here. I was an huge advocate for the 400Z and we discussed it to death in the "other cars" section. To the point I was being stalked by "Jetpilot" all over the gaff. He did have valid points though. We let the thread die and said lets wait 9 months to the Tokyo Motorshow came and ducks flew. Then someone posted some quotes on the net from alfonso albaisa and new threads were opened all over the forum. If you read some of these articles closely. Nissan still havent decided what the car will be (hybrid, electric or petrol). Hence a design, sketch hasnt even been drafted. The chief designer hasnt mentioned, hinted at anything. I follow him on social media. Their main focus is the Juke and other small electric projects in the pipeline such as an SUV showcased in Tokyo Hope that helps you understand where we are at and peoples reactions to this topic. A mixture of here we go again and fake news = LOL
  6. Apologies for opening up another thread. But this one has been an interesting topic of discussion in USA. Weve seen the clubsport car and Z1 work on this project fir SEMA last year and showcased a stripped down car at this years SEMA. The real question is howcome no one has tried this here. With the numerous Q60 VR30DDTT engines for sale and cheap 370Z Autos available. I know for the manual car Z1 had to develop their own flywheel and clutch not to mention numerous ECU configurations and parts that were added. I know the first answer is really expensive. But maybe any traders/tuners or project veterans can add some light as to how come no UK tuners have tried what Z1 have or individuals for that matter.
  7. all dreamers. Cut your losses dont waste time. Or youd be waiting till April May to get chancers. I got lucky with my first Nismo. We Buy any Car gave me the same price I paid which was well under market value at purchase
  8. There are already lots of threads on this in "Other Cars" which were more or less sank in oblivion.
  9. No where near the same experience. That day will come for all of us.
  10. nice pictures right? If the Hyundai designer wishes to make a coupe sports car that doesnt look like the pictures but will be "crazy". Ill take that.
  11. I did visit Nissan and the parts guy told me somebody was crying about £600 LED for the GTR. He had to remind the customer its an £80,000 car its going on Anyway thanks for the feedback. Thought id share that.
  12. Thanks! called up yesterday. bodyshop said they can sand down and repaint. Its not cracked. Theyll also help me spray the grey insert in the grill which has paint coming apart for £230
  13. All under wraps but will release next year as a hybrid or fully electric sports car. https://www.caradvice.com.au/809437/hyundai-working-on-crazy-sports-car-due-2020/ The designer who has worked on Lamborghinis in the past stated its definitely going ahead. Who knows maybe the doors will go up and boast twice as much power as the Supra.
  14. Engine bay looks a bit of a hotmess. Couldnt they call Mercedes for some covers
  15. Ferrari Roma in Rome colours. How corny
  16. dont worry give it time, a hike in taxes, fuel costs and heavy discounts might sway you. How about free solar panels with your purchase?
  17. SUV for those that live on the outskirts of Oxford Shire, own two smoking barrels, a cigar and got whisky in the trunk. Now grab my bag will you, Im an oldie who likes to go shooting on a cold sunday morning. Get with the times AMT. No use moaning about it. Ice is melting and captain planet wishes to delay the inevitable melting ice caps at the north pole Have you done your bit yet? I drive a hybrid still so I can be excused till further notice.
  18. Is it better to go directly to Nissan for this. How much would this cost? Mines damaged looks like a knife was taken to it or a cat scratched it. Either way needs replacing.
  19. LOL ....been saying this for ages. There will always be a faster fish.
  20. https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/06/success/ford-electric-mustang-trnd/index.html The 900 horsepower muscle car has been unveiled exploring possibilities. This car comes equipped with a manual gearbox. Yep youre not seeing things Comes with Valet mode and boasts 1000 ft/lbs of Torque. Similar to a Bugatti Veyron There will also be an electric Ford Mustang SUV with less power
  21. Theres a porsche owner on my instagram that drives a GTS Cayman and raves about his mates ND. SlawterCH on Youtube, if you like Switzerland and POV videos. Definitely one for the future.
  22. Saw this on Instagram. Any products in UK you would recommend for rain? Where the water beads and runs off windshield. In some cases can be applied to the whole car. That way no need to use wipers especially the rear
  23. yep not much. Lighter weight makes a difference. No torque dip and a bit more power could be a different result
